C4 Kwoo Zhenhai

"Who are you? Spouting nonsense here; leave immediately or I'll call security to throw you out," the doctor said sharply, the first to speak up. He snorted coldly before addressing Zhou Min, "Mrs. Lin, you're well aware of my medical expertise. I wouldn't make such a basic error."

"Please accept my condolences. The patient has passed away, and we must proceed with cremation. I ask that you leave and take the bed with you."

The doctor showed no hint of compassion as he gestured dismissively to the nurses.

Qiu Ming, the head of internal medicine at the hospital, was somewhat renowned in Yun Hai's medical community. When Qin Tian suggested that Lin Zhixi's father was still alive, Lin Zhixi and her mother clung to a sliver of hope. However, upon hearing Qiu Ming's words, that hope was dashed. After all, it was unlikely for Qiu Ming to make such a fundamental mistake.

"Director Qiu, what are you implying? My father has just passed, and we haven't even had the chance to say our goodbyes, yet you're already planning to send him for cremation. I disagree with this," Lin Zhixi protested, her eyes blazing with anger.

"Mrs. Lin, Miss Lin, I understand your grief, but the deceased cannot be brought back. You must not obstruct my duties," Qiu Ming said, his impatience evident as he pressed the nurses to move faster.

As the gurney was about to be wheeled away, a firm hand pressed down on it. Despite several attempts by the nurses, the gurney remained immovable.

"What's the rush to cremate the patient? Are you worried he might come back to life?" Qin Tian, the hand's owner, stared intently at Qiu Ming, his eyes emitting a cold glint.

"The patient is obviously still alive, yet you're set on cremating him. How is that any different from intentional murder?"

"Moreover, the hospital doesn't have the right to dispose of the body. At most, you can place him in the morgue. When to cremate is a decision for the family to make. Your eagerness suggests you might be responsible for the patient's current condition," Qin Tian said, a hint of a smile playing at his lips. Lin Zhixi, instinctively grasping Qin Tian's hand, asked, "Is my father truly still alive?"

The hope that had been extinguished flared up once more, and Lin Zhixi's face lit up with emotion.

"The patient is definitively deceased; I've checked multiple times. To claim that Mr. Lin is still alive is utterly absurd," Qiu Ming retorted.

Cremation is mandated by law. Are you suggesting we amend the funeral regulations? Mrs. Lin, Miss Lin, I'm not sure of your relationship to this individual, but let me warn you, obstructing a medical professional carries legal consequences."

Qiu Ming's patience was wearing thin, and a flicker of panic could be seen in his eyes.

Yet, Lin Zhixi ignored Qiu Ming, her gaze fixed on Qin Tian.

Losing a loved one is the most heartbreaking experience. Even though Lin Zhixi's father showed no signs of life, she chose to believe Qin Tian's words.

"Yes, your father isn't dead."

With a nod, Qin Tian shaped his hand like a claw and placed it on the patient's chest.

Upon witnessing this, Qiu Ming raised his voice, "I must warn you, desecrating a body is illegal, Mrs. Lin. If your husband has passed, we should allow him to depart this world peacefully."

"How can you stand by as this man mistreats Mr. Lin? Security, detain him!"

After speaking with Zhou Min, Qiu Ming summoned the security guards. Meanwhile, Qin Tian's fingers moved swiftly over the patient, pausing after several seconds.

Security guards rushed in, directed by Qiu Ming to subdue Qin Tian.

As they converged on Qin Tian like a pack of wolves, the patient on the stretcher suddenly opened his eyes and coughed violently.

The dead coming back to life sent the surrounding nurses into a panic, screaming and running away. The security guards halted, staring in shock at the unfolding scene.

Qiu Ming's brow furrowed, while Lin Zhixi and Zhou Min were overjoyed.

"Wow."

After a series of violent coughs, the patient vomited a large amount of blood mixed with bile, then his eyes rolled back as he lost consciousness.

"Director Qiu, do you have anything to say now?"

Though Lin Yu had collapsed, his breathing and heartbeat had returned; he was clearly alive.

Lin Zhixi looked at Qiu Ming with an icy gaze.

"In the operating room, the patient had no pulse, no heartbeat, and no brain activity. My declaration of his death was not in error."

"If Mrs. Lin and Miss Lin believe there has been a medical mishap, they are welcome to file a complaint with the hospital. I am prepared to face any consequences."

Qiu Ming adopted a pose of moral integrity.

"If what you're saying is accurate, then indeed there seems to be no issue. The patient did indeed lapse into a coma due to a cerebral hemorrhage, but his apparent death was caused by poisoning."

"And this poison wasn't contracted externally; it was directly injected into the patient's bloodstream. Director Qiu, can you honestly claim you're not involved in this matter?"

Qin Tian's gaze landed on the back of Lin Yu's hand, and he let out a cold laugh, while a flicker of panic crossed Qiu Ming's eyes.

As he was about to make an excuse, a group of individuals in white coats turned the corner of the corridor. Leading them was an elderly gentleman, his hair and beard a snowy white.

"Elder Kwoo, President."

Upon seeing the group, Qiu Ming appeared to have found a lifeline. He rushed to the elderly man's side and addressed him and another white-coated figure, who appeared to be in his sixties:

"Elder Kwoo, President, this young man is accusing me of causing a death. You must stand up for me."

Qiu Ming's performance was convincing; his face was etched with sorrow, and his eyes even brimmed with tears, making it seem to the uninformed observer that he had suffered a grave injustice.

"What's the situation? Take your time and explain. With my mentor here, no one can harm you."

Standing beside the elder was Ma Tongsheng, the president of B Hospital, and the venerable man was Kwoo Zhenhai, the esteemed professor from B Medical School.

B Medical School is the nation's premier medical university. Kwoo Zhenhai is not only a professor but also an academician of the Dragon Country Academy of Sciences, wielding significant international influence.

His pioneering neurotherapy has earned him the International Medical Science Award. In Dragon Country's medical community, Kwoo Zhenhai is a figure of towering stature, and Ma Tongsheng is one of his many distinguished students.

Today, Kwoo Zhenhai was invited here to perform a surgery, which he had just completed and was preparing to depart.

Qiu Ming quickly recounted the situation with Lin Yu, prompting everyone with Ma Tongsheng to turn their attention to Qin Tian.

Upon laying eyes on Qin Tian, Kwoo Zhenhai paused, a look of excitement quickly spreading across his face.

"Little..."

He strode directly toward Qin Tian, but the words caught in Kwoo Zhenhai's throat when Qin Tian shot him a glare, silencing him.
