C4 Chapter 4
The young man bent down and pushed Hu Donghai on the stone bench. Hu Donghai opened his eyes and saw his lazy face. He quickly sat up.
The young man seemed to have just woken up. The tiredness and impatience in his eyes merged into a cold expression. Hu Donghai called out in a low voice, "Xiaocan?"
"I am Hu Xiaocann." The young man replied in an indifferent tone.
Xiaocan was tall and thin. He was more handsome than the photos his brother had taken. However, Hu Donghai was not used to the beauty of his face. A young man in his twenties should have been full of positive energy, but his expression was depressed. His hair was slightly curly. It was not tough enough.
Hu Donghai had noticed that most of the boys on the street were dressed like this. Fang Zheng had just made a phone call at the newspaper kiosk and was shopping at the convenience store. The covers, posters, and posters they saw were all of these types.
His nephew's legs were really long. As if to emphasize the length, his ankles were exposed under his narrow pants. He wore a pair of sports shoes on his bare feet.
Hu Donghai had just dreamt of his youth. One minute ago, he was still running and shouting in the city, and one minute later, he had changed into a different world. He was glad that the light of wisdom in his nephew's eyes had been caught by Hu Donghai. Perhaps this was a new human.
After a moment of awkward silence, Hu Xiaocann said, "Then... let's go."
Before he could finish his sentence, he had already turned around. Hu Donghai wiped his forehead with a handkerchief and got up to follow.
Uncle and nephew walked under the shade of the tree, one in front and the other behind, like two unrelated people. Hu Donghai looked at Xiaocan's back. He was the only one left who was close to him.
Xiaocan came to the sidewalk at the intersection. In front of him was a row of brightly colored bicycles. He opened the software on his phone and scanned a small yellow car. Then, he opened another software and scanned a small blue car.
"Which color do you want?" Xiaocan asked.
Hu Donghai looked at his nephew and was in a daze. Suddenly, he heard a question. He asked blankly, "Does the government want everyone to buy the same bicycle?"
Xiaocan was too lazy to argue with him. He rode his yellow bicycle and left.
Hu Donghai hurriedly got on the small blue bicycle. He was still holding his bag in one hand. In his panic, he grabbed the handle of the bicycle with all his strength. The front of the car twisted violently and almost flipped over the bicycle. He spun around for two to three minutes and found the feeling of cycling again. His nephew was already far away.
Hu Donghai was chasing after him on the small blue bike. Cars kept passing by him, which made him very nervous. Suddenly, there were pedestrians crossing the road in front of him.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey..."
Hu Donghai dodged the pedestrians and ran into a patrol car in a panic. With a thud, his bicycle flipped over and his head hit the ground.
Xiaocan quickly came over to help Hu Donghai up. He quickly saluted the police. "Pay attention next time, pay attention next time." Then he dragged Hu Donghai and ran away. He turned his head and saw that there was blood on his uncle's forehead. He sighed impatiently. Hu Donghai quickly said, "I am avoiding pedestrians, not assaulting the police..."
"Who cares about that!" Xiaocan muttered, "My brain is not good to begin with, and I even hit my head."
He took his uncle around the corner and walked into the small South Gate Bokang Clinic nearby.
"Sister Tan." Xiaocan greeted a beautiful woman in her thirties. "Oh, Xiaocan is here." The doctor smiled.
"Hurry up and apply the decoction," the woman said. Xiaocan pointed at Hu Donghai behind him. "I'm fine..." Hu Donghai said, suddenly stunned.
The female doctor turned her face when she stood up. At that moment, sunlight shone through the window on her face. Hu Donghai could not help but shiver.
Xiaocan pushed him. Hu Donghai sat down on the chair.
Next was disinfectant and applying medicine. Dr. Tan's fingers were gentle and strong, clean and clean. Hu Donghai was in a daze, as if he had really broken his brain.
Dr. Tan amiably asked, "Is there anything else that Yang feels uncomfortable about?" "Comfortable and comfortable." Hu Donghai said.
"What else do you have?"
"I have a bird's eye," Hu Donghai said. "What?" Hu Donghai asked. Xiaocan was shocked.
"Oh... you are talking about night blindness." Dr. Tan smiled. "Sorry, I can't cure this disease." "It's okay, it's okay." Hu Donghai quickly walked out.
Dr. Tan asked Xiaocan, "Your friend?" "Yes, my uncle."
"It's a little strange." Dr. Tan reminded him, "Take care of him when you bring him out in the future." "Don't tell me he has dementia?" Xiaocan asked in surprise.
"Don't talk nonsense!" Dr. Tan glared at Xiaocan.
The road back home seemed endless. Hu Donghai struggled in the flood.
He was in a strange and colorful world. The girl in a short skirt and the beautiful young woman in front of him made him dizzy. On the two sides of the street, the windows of the houses were equipped with anti-theft nets. It was like a prison, making Hu Donghai feel like it was real.
He stopped the car, panted for a while, and continued to ride forward.
He could also see television in the prison. He knew that the outside world had changed greatly, but he was really in it. It was like a drowning person had lost everything. In the depths of his memory, he desperately searched for the memories of the city more than 20 years ago. It was completely chaotic. The puzzle board of the previous world had been completely broken. He held onto a fragment in the turbulent current.
Three factories road... His home...
The Three Factory Road, which used to be a bustling street, was less than 500 meters long. The factory had long since been dismantled, leaving behind only a trademark abandoned furnace, which was like a pin poking into the setting sun. A group of pigeons circled around the furnace rack.
The Hu Family was in an alley on the west side of the road. The entrance of the alley was crowded and noisy. People were walking side by side with cars on the narrow road. It was dinner time. The small restaurants were all steaming hot. There was a chef standing in front of the big pot in front of the door, pulling noodles, cutting noodles, as well as selling mantou and fast food.
Putting down the bicycle, the uncle and nephew entered the alley. The noise became quiet. There was a street lamp every ten meters. There were crisscrossing electric wires on the top of their heads.
The Hu family was a small courtyard. The red paint door had just been brushed. Hu Donghai looked at the locust tree at the door. There was a thin sign hanging on the branch. There were two lines of words written on it: Professional Lockpicking, Contact Mr. Hu. Mobile phone: 133xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Xiaocan pushed the door open and Hu Donghai followed. As soon as he entered the yard, Xiaocan stopped and tilted his head to look at Hu Donghai. His face was still the same as before, as if he had gone on a hunger strike for three days after losing his love. He looked very depressed.
He suddenly reached out his hand like lightning and took off Hu Donghai's hat. He took off Hu Donghai's leather bag and threw it away like lightning.
There was no transition between "quiet like a sloth" and "moving like a cunning rabbit.
Hu Donghai was completely unprepared. In the blink of an eye, there was nothing left. At this time, he noticed that there was an iron bucket beside him. He had thrown his hat and bag inside.
Hu Xiaocann clicked on the lighter and was about to throw it in. "Wait!" Hu Donghai shouted.
Xiaocan looked at him in confusion.
Hu Donghai took out a piece of paper from his bag. Xiaocan glanced at it. It was a full sentence release certificate.
In the blink of an eye, there was a flame in the iron bucket. The flame reflected on Xiaocan's face. Xiaocan said, "Let's go and take a bath."
Hu Donghai did not react. Xiaocan had already turned around and walked out of the yard before he entered the house and had not eaten his meal.
