C47 Jiang Que's Sword Slashing the Python

"Patriarch!"

"Patriarch!"

Jiang Que departed from the valley.

As he made his way, the clansmen greeted him with great respect.

Once Jiang Que emerged from the valley, he accelerated to top speed. He pushed the Cloud Stepping Spell to its limits and dashed toward the southwest.

He became a fleeting shadow, swiftly weaving through the forest.

Despite the treacherous mountain terrain and numerous obstacles, it took him merely six to seven minutes to arrive at the entrance of a vast canyon over forty kilometers away.

This region was under the jurisdiction of the former Patriarch, Shito, who was one of the current four chief leaders of the Flame Mountain Tribe.

With the Four Great Armies expanding their sphere of influence, they increasingly encountered formidable ferocious beasts.

Some of these beasts were so fierce that even Jiang Que could not defeat them.

To date, they had encountered three such beasts.

The Gold Python, which reigned over the canyon, was among them.

Half a month earlier, Jiang Que had visited this place but failed to conquer the Gold Python.

The beast was armored in thick, hard scales that rendered attacks futile, even when Jiang Que targeted its most vulnerable eyes and vitals with the Thorn Fruit.

Even the Little Gold Ball, which had attained the status of a level seven ferocious beast, had detonated itself at the creature's eyes multiple times to no avail.

Jiang Que had no choice but to abandon the pursuit of the Gold Python, instructing Shito and the Western Army to bypass the area and press on. He would revisit the challenge once his power had increased enough to handle the python.

Now, he had successfully developed an even more potent sword technique.

When considering the three formidable ferocious beasts he had previously decided to circumvent, the first that came to mind was the defensively formidable Gold Python before him.

Upon entering the canyon, sword in hand, Jiang Que advanced into the depths.

Throughout his journey, he occasionally faced attacks from other pythons but easily dispatched them with the Thorn Fruit.

Although Jiang Que's Flying Blade Spell was ineffective against the massive python, the smaller ones he encountered along the way, ranging from the thickness of a bowl to the girth of a water bucket and varying in length from five to ten meters, posed no significant threat.

Despite their scaly armor, the pythons couldn't withstand the penetrating force of the Flying Blade Spell.

"Is Jiang Que using the Gold Python to test his new cultivation method?"

"It looks like his new cultivation method is significantly more powerful than the Flying Blade Spell. He wouldn't have chosen the Gold Python as a test subject otherwise."

"I suspect he'll come back without success. Yet, the new cultivation method is bound to be stronger than the Flying Blade Spell."

"Keep in mind, Jiang Que developed the Flying Blade Spell during the Energy Condensation Stage. This new cultivation method, however, was created during the Spirit Release Stage."

"The new cultivation method is an entire level above the Flying Blade Spell. Plus, since it's a close-combat technique, it wouldn't be surprising if it were two or three times more powerful."

"The issue is, the Gold Python is a level 20 ferocious beast. Moreover, it boasts one of the strongest defenses among its peers in the entire Milky Way."

"It may not be the most powerful ferocious beast in Flame Mountain, but its defense is unrivaled."

"Even if Jiang Que's new cultivation method is two to three times, or even four to five times stronger than the Flying Blade Spell, it still can't penetrate the Gold Python's defenses."

The live stream viewers were shaking their heads, convinced that Jiang Que was bound to fail this time.

Some of the more faint-hearted viewers even started worrying about Jiang Que's safety.

"The Gold Python's strength is at level 20, which is the upper limit of what humans can overcome according to military standards. Not even ace genetic warriors can defeat it without deploying a Mecha."

"Now, Jiang Que is going in solo. If he can't breach the Gold Python's defenses, he could be in danger. The Gold Python's speed and reflexes are not to be underestimated."

"But it's probably not as dire as it seems. Jiang Que's reaction speed far exceeds that of the Gold Python. Thanks to the Cloud Stepping Spell, his mobility far surpasses that of the Gold Python."

"Even in close combat, he's likely to return empty-handed as before. Jiang Que might not be able to breach the Gold Python's defenses, but conversely, the Gold Python won't be able to match Jiang Que's speed."

"That's a relief, as long as Jiang Que isn't in danger!"

Half a month had passed when Jiang Que encountered the Gold Python again in the Great Canyon.

Spanning twenty-five meters in length with a girth of two meters, its body was adorned with golden scales.

It lay across the canyon's rock face like a majestic golden dragon, radiating a powerful presence.

Jiang Que maintained his composure, though the Little Gold Ball on his shoulder was visibly agitated.

With a leap, it immediately unleashed its attack.

The golden fur on its front half transformed into thousands of golden needles, firing towards the Gold Python.

Undoubtedly, even with the Little Gold Ball's strength increased to Level 1, its attacks still couldn't scratch the Gold Python.

The Little Gold Ball turned and aimed its rear at the Gold Python, launching all its golden hairs to no avail.

Seeing its attacks were ineffective, the frustrated Little Gold Ball, now bare, charged at the Gold Python.

It seemed intent on using its last resort—self-detonation.

"Come back!" Jiang Que called out from behind.

He knew that even a self-detonation from the Little Gold Ball wouldn't be enough to take down the Gold Python.

Charging at it was just a waste of time.

Despite its rage, the Little Gold Ball reluctantly halted.

Meanwhile, the Gold Python had detected the presence of Jiang Que and the Little Gold Ball.

A flash of anger crossed its eyes.

It had spent over twenty minutes trying to defeat Jiang Que half a month ago, an infuriating memory for it.

As the dominant force of the Great Canyon, it had never experienced prey escaping before.

The Gold Python slithered rapidly towards Jiang Que, turning rocks to dust in its wake, which drifted away with the wind.

Jiang Que gripped his iron sword and, instead of backing down, he charged at the Gold Python.

The gap between them closed quickly.

Fifty meters, forty meters, thirty meters.

The Gold Python sprang forward, its gaping maw revealing a fiery red tongue.

Its mouth resembled a vast red cavern reeking of blood, ready to engulf Jiang Que.

In the live stream, the more faint-hearted viewers shielded their eyes.

Jiang Que, however, remained cool and collected.

As the Gold Python leapt towards him, closing the distance to a mere twenty meters, he unleashed the Cloud Stepping Spell with full force.

In an instant, he became a blur, moving faster than the Gold Python and maneuvering to its side.

Once the Gold Python hit the ground, he struck with his sword.

A Sword Qi, accompanied by a sonic boom, traveled over three meters in a flash, slicing into the Gold Python's body.

The creature's golden scales were shredded like tissue paper by the Sword Qi.

The razor-sharp Sword Qi penetrated deeply, carving a wound one meter long and half a meter deep into the Gold Python's flesh.

Blood gushed from the wound like a fountain.

Overcome with excruciating pain, the Gold Python let out a thunderous roar.

Its massive body writhed in agony.

Dust and debris filled the air as the entire canyon seemed to face an apocalypse.

In the live broadcast room, the audience rose to their feet, stunned.

At that moment, billions across the Milky Way watched the screen, mouths agape, in sheer disbelief.
