C44 Mi Xueyin's Pursuer

The whole affair began with the group that Zhu Mo had put together.

Choo Qin, a new student, was placed in Mi Xueyin's group. After expressing his desire to delve back into the study of runes, his teacher, who held him in high regard, assigned the top student, Mi Xueyin, to tutor him.

As a result, Choo Qin found himself spending the majority of his time at school with the so-called "Civilian Princess."

"Have you received Jiaang Fei's challenge letter?"

"Yes."

"What's your plan? Do you need us to come up with a solution for you?" Kuan Xue teased, a playful tone in her voice. Mi Xueyin, though maintaining a cool demeanor, couldn't hide the slight flush on her cheeks.

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," Choo Qin responded nonchalantly. He truly didn't consider the challenge letter a big deal.

Child's play like that held no interest for him, and he wasn't concerned in the slightest.

Lately, he had been experiencing profound realizations in the Way of Runes. Should any foolhardy soul attempt to interrupt him, Choo Qin was ready to provide a swift lesson in manners.

"Choo Qin, I'm sorry... I had no idea things would turn out this way," Mi Xueyin offered a soft apology. She wasn't much for words, but Choo Qin could sense her genuine sincerity.

"I'll have a word with Jiaang Fei later, and I'll do my utmost not to involve you."

"Jiaang Fei is Jiaang Tao's cousin, and he's from a branch of the Jiaang family associated with the Earl Mansion. Be on your guard; I'm concerned they might try to stir up trouble for you outside of school," Mi Xueyin said after a moment's thought.

Choo Qin offered a slight smile, his mind drifting back to the incident at the Tingyu Floor. It seemed that the Jiaang family had a knack for crossing paths with him.

"Don't worry about it. If he dares to provoke me, I'll quickly show him his place. I'm not intimidated by the Earl Mansion or anyone from it."

"Humph!"

"And just who are you planning to teach a lesson?"

No sooner had Choo Qin finished speaking than a male voice echoed from nearby. A group of four or five boys dressed in academy uniforms approached.

Leading them was Jiaang Fei, the very person who had issued the challenge.

A flicker of disarray passed through Kuan Xue's eyes, and Mi Xueyin's brow furrowed. They had only intended to warn Choo Qin, not expecting Jiaang Fei to confront them so soon.
