C28 Advance to Bronze Grade 4

"I've actually absorbed the bloodline of the Storm Hawk!"

Chen Wu was overwhelmed with excitement!

While the Storm Hawk wasn't the most powerful bloodline, it was a branch of the Beast-type Wind Eagle family. The Wind Eagle represents a category of hawk-type Demonic Beasts that rule the skies, having evolved into thousands of different hawk-type Demonic Beasts.

The Storm Hawk was certainly one of the elite. Evolutionary theory suggested that other hawk-type Demonic Beasts might also have the potential to evolve into Storm Hawks. However, such a transformation was highly unlikely unless there was a mutation in the womb.

But Blood Rain was an exception. It had managed to absorb the Storm Hawk's bloodline through the Demonic Blood Fruit. Although the bloodline was diluted, it indicated that Blood Rain had a significant chance of evolving into a Storm Hawk!

The Storm Hawk was a bona fide Silver-level Demonic Beast, known for its formidable strength. Upon reaching maturity, it was already at the Silver level, with its Potential Growth also being Silver!

In terms of value and rarity, it far surpassed the Iron-feather Eagle by several degrees!

There were certainly very few in Green-mount Town who possessed a Silver-level Demonic Pet!

With such a find, Chen Wu was more than content. Now that Blood Rain had reached Bronze Grade 4, its strength was incomparable to that of the Iron-feather Eagle!

Moreover, with the power boost from the High-level Treasure Weapon, the Wind Wings, Chen Wu felt confident enough to take on a Bronze Grade 5 Demonic Beast!

Chen Wu also noticed that Blood Rain's Iron Claw had been enhanced. Due to the influence of the Storm Hawk, it had prematurely developed the "Crack Claw," a skill typically exhibited by mature Iron-feather Eagles.

The Crack Claw wasn't an exclusive skill; all bird Demonic Beasts, and even terrestrial ones, possessed it. But the destructive force it unleashed varied greatly depending on the sharpness of the claws and the method of attack. With Blood Rain's dive from high above, this move could easily crush boulders!

Such power was beyond what the Iron Claw could achieve, making it an advanced version of the Iron Claw skill!

"This journey was truly worthwhile!"

"Hu Liang could never have imagined that his own brother, Hu Wang, would end up bestowing such a tremendous gift upon me!"

Hu Wang was indeed pitiable. Being from the same clan, he had some inklings about his brother's sudden rise. Eventually, he focused on the secluded cliff in the western forest that Hu Liang frequented in secret.

He certainly didn't have the nerve to covet Hu Liang's possessions!

After Hu Liang became a Demonic Pet Master and departed from Green-mount Town, he also helped him achieve the same title. Driven by curiosity, he decided to take a closer look. However, upon encountering the three Grade 4 Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows, he was instantly intimidated. Reluctantly, he stashed away the map he had drawn, never anticipating that his end would come at the hands of Chen Wu. Inadvertently, his brother's secret had fallen into Chen Wu's lap.

"I'm sure Hu Liang was aware of the Demonic Blood Fruit's mystery, which is why he kept it from Hu Wang, planning to harvest it himself when it ripened."

The Demonic Blood Fruit, however, was not capable of endless growth. It would grow only once, and after depleting the stored Demonic Blood, it would perish. The plant had already wilted at Chen Wu's feet.

Upon discovering the carcass of an unidentified hawk-type Demonic Beast outside, Chen Wu surmised it was a Storm Hawk. It had succumbed to some assault, dying there, and the Demonic Pet Master, unable to persevere, chose to bury it on the spot. By a stroke of luck, the Storm Hawk's blood had nourished a Demonic Blood Flower, which the Demonic Pet Master's owner planted with satisfaction before passing away.

Regardless, Chen Wu was quite pleased with the Demonic Blood Fruit.

"It's time to leave!"

"Blood Rain, let's head out. Now that you have a Treasure Weapon, do you feel confident enough to take on those three outside?"

Blood Rain radiated an immense sense of excitement and vitality. With its incredible speed and attack power, it was now a force to be reckoned with, nearly matching a Bronze Grade 5!

Confronting the assault of the three Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows, it was confident it could emerge unscathed.

"Okay, let's go!"

Chen Wu released Blood Rain first, which swiftly circled the cave entrances like a whirlwind, instantly stirring up chaos below.

The three Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows were the first to ascend, angrily encircling and launching an attack on Blood Rain.

Their wings stirred up a fierce current of air as they entered a high-speed chase, their beaks sharp as daggers, aiming for Blood Rain.

Blood Rain's speed had noticeably increased, executing a seamless 360-degree glide to effortlessly evade incoming attacks. It then engaged in a fierce aerial battle with three Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows.

"Blood Rain, Feather Arrow!"

With a shake of its feathers, Blood Rain unleashed dozens of Iron-feathers toward its foe. Chen Wu observed that since consuming the Demonic Blood Fruit, Blood Rain's strength had surged, and its attacks had become more vicious. The Feather Arrows flew faster and struck with greater force. The Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows couldn't evade them all, and those hit were left with bloody holes amidst a flurry of feathers!

"Screech—!"

In desperation, the three Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows, their steel-like wings spanning over three meters, converged on Blood Rain, aiming for its head with their slashing wings.

Yet Blood Rain's power was a match for theirs, and it swiftly began to flee.

"Blood Rain, take to the skies and take one down first!" Chen Wu commanded with intensity.

Blood Rain quickly pivoted, a layer of green energy enveloping its feathers, boosting its speed dramatically. It pulled away and then dove in a spiral, targeting one of the Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows. In an instant, it swooped down, its enormous, curved eagle claws spreading wide like giant iron hooks, seizing the right wing of the Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrow and tearing into it with ferocity!

Crack Claw!

The Crack Claw's force surged, digging deep into flesh and blood. As Blood Rain ascended sharply, the Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrow screeched in agony, its right wing brutally torn off by Blood Rain's assault!

The fate of the wingless Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrow was sealed; it plummeted from the sky, doomed to a shattered end.

With one of their number fallen, the remaining two Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows were stricken with terror. Realizing they were outmatched by the fierce predator, they wheeled around and fled toward their nest.

Blood Rain, however, was not about to let them near their haven, especially with Chen Wu still suspended in the air!

As Chen Wu entangled the two Sharp Spout Cloud-sparrows, he skillfully used the rope to make his way back to the narrow path on the mountainside where he had started and began his descent.

He paid no mind to the Cloud Sparrow nests. The Cloud Sparrows were too timid and weak to be of any value. Even though their eggs were within easy reach, Chen Wu couldn't be bothered to collect them. The Cloud Sparrows that chirped nearby, too fearful to attack, were effortlessly swatted away with a single slap from him.

Having summoned Blood Rain, Chen Wu swiftly navigated the trail down the mountain, intent on leaving the area. There was, after all, nothing left there to hold his interest.
