Chen Wu folded his arms and watched Lin Diwen with a mocking gaze as he dusted himself off and tucked the Rock-titan back into the Demonic Pet Space, not uttering a single word.

Lin Diwen scanned the crowd of onlookers, taking in his grandfather's disappointed look, Lee Dong's gleeful mockery, and the shocked expression on his little brother's face. A wave of panic surged within him, but it was Chen Wu's eerie grin that pushed him to the brink of fury. The humiliation was unbearable!

As the esteemed Young Master Elder of the Lin Family, Lin Diwen had access to the finest resources and a powerful Demonic Pet personally captured by his grandfather. Accustomed to praise and envy, he had never before faced such public ridicule.

"Chen Wu — you and I are irreconcilable!!" Lin Diwen bellowed through gritted teeth, his face flushed with anger, no longer concerned with maintaining his dignity. He was determined to make Chen Wu—and that despicable bird of his—pay dearly!

Unbeknownst to him, his frenzied state was the very cause of Shan Liyuan's disappointment.

"Come forth, Grass Vine Snake!"

The crowd was taken aback; Lin Diwen's second Demonic Pet was a Plant-type, a Grass Vine Snake. It wasn't that they hadn't considered it, but rather they hadn't anticipated that his second Demonic Pet could be just as formidable as his Zodiac Demonic Pet. Typically, a Zodiac Demonic Pet would surpass the second one in strength.

The Grass Vine Snake was a massive serpent-like Demonic Beast, composed entirely of a thick, purple vine resembling a water bucket in girth. It bore a striking resemblance to snake-type Demonic Beasts, yet it was adorned with leafy foliage and bristling with thorns. Thirteen meters in length, it coiled itself up like a true serpent, its small, venomous eyes fixating on Chen Wu's Iron-feather Eagle with malevolent intent.

Despite their small size, the spikes packed a considerable punch, each one coated with a potent toxin. The more they struck, the deeper the poisoning, capable of rapidly paralyzing the victim and even causing blood clots!

Chen Wu's face paled, realizing there was no escape from the all-encompassing assault.

Yet the attack wasn't overwhelmingly powerful; as long as the toxin didn't build up excessively, it wouldn't be fatal. Blood Rain braced itself, using its wings to deflect the onslaught. While the Iron-feather repelled many spikes, some still managed to penetrate its flesh, causing numbness in certain areas, though not enough to impair its flight.

Blood Rain felt the effects, and Chen Wu was acutely aware of the situation. Knowing they couldn't afford to delay, he immediately directed Blood Rain to launch a counterattack. Since the creature appeared to lack roots, the Iron Claw struck the Grass Vine Snake's head directly.

The head burst into a spray of grassy sap but quickly regenerated.

Sensing the threat, Lin Diwen hastily commanded the Grass Vine Snake to execute "Splitting Body." Unlike typical Plant-types, the Grass Vine Snake could root itself at will or move without roots. However, like the Rock-titan, it had a Demonic Core, and its death was certain if the core was removed.

The Grass Vine Snake astonishingly split into five segments in the blink of an eye. After a brief squirming, it appeared as though it had divided into five identical Grass Vine Snakes, albeit shorter. Nevertheless, they retained their ability to launch attacks. Each segment was roughly three meters in length, but their dispersal made it challenging for Blood Rain to identify which one concealed the Demonic Core. Attacking one meant facing a coordinated assault from the others!

Nobody held out hope for Chen Wu anymore. With such a vexing Plant-type Demonic Pet, and considering Chen Wu's Iron-feather Eagle had been in continuous combat for quite some time, it was undoubtedly running low on strength. Continuing this way spelled certain defeat!

Lin Diwen gloated, "Why continue this futile struggle? Your pathetic bird is done for!"

"Grass Vine Snake, let loose another volley of poison stings!"

Blood Rain was now visibly unsteady in flight. Despite the diminutive size of the poison stings, their cumulative effect weighed heavily on Blood Rain, nearly numbing its skin. Yet it gritted its teeth and persevered, silent in its resolve.

"Blood Rain, release it!"
