C24 This Is My Boyfriend

Luo Yuyan absentmindedly played with her fingers.

She found herself in a KTV private room, flanked by several female friends, all daughters of the rich second generation, and each with their boyfriend in tow.

"Meng Meng, why don't you find yourself a boyfriend?" inquired one of the taller girls.

"Seriously, it's got to be so lonely all by yourself," chimed in another with cascading wavy hair.

Their looks were enhanced by their adept makeup skills, while Luo Yuyan radiated a natural allure that made her stand out effortlessly.

The remarks from her friends only served to increase Luo Yuyan's unease.

If only she had known what the evening entailed, she would have opted out. She hadn't expected a singing session, especially not one where everyone else had brought their partners, leaving her feeling awkward and irritable.

In her agitation, she thought of Zhao Su. She reached out to him, hoping he could provide an escape.

She had previously told Zhao Su a half-truth, half-falsehood.

Without thinking, she announced, "I have a boyfriend. He'll be here soon."

"Meng Meng, you actually have a boyfriend? How come I'm just hearing about this?" the tall girl asked.

"We're all in the dark about this," the girl with wavy hair said, surprised.

"We've just started seeing each other, so I haven't had the chance to tell you," Luo Yuyan lied smoothly.

"That's amazing. What does he look like?"

"Is he as handsome as Sheng Geng?"

The girl with wavy hair pointed to a nearby man.

He was quite handsome, tall at 1.8 meters, with a slightly intense look in his eyes.

Luo Yuyan hesitated to speak.

The tall girl suggested, "Let's not speculate any further. We'll see when Meng Meng's boyfriend gets here."

"Meng Meng, what does your boyfriend do? What kind of car does he drive?"

After a moment's hesitation, Luo Yuyan answered, "He doesn't own a car; he works at my family's home."

At that, Sheng Geng raised his glass and said, "Turns out he's a poor guy. Meng Meng, I just want to caution you. Often, such people have hidden agendas. He's not accomplished."

"Maybe Yuyan got tricked by some guy because she's inexperienced," someone chimed in.

Luo Yuyan was seething at their words when the door suddenly opened.

Zhao Su walked in, his tall stature and handsome face drawing all eyes to him.

"Sorry I'm late," he said.

Seeing him, Luo Yuyan's spirits immediately soared.

Before Zhao Su could utter a word, she quickly introduced him, "Everyone, this is my boyfriend, Zhao Su."

Zhao Su was momentarily stunned. Luo Yuyan was giving him urgent looks, and he nodded in agreement, though puzzled about how he had suddenly become Yuyan's boyfriend.

The women in the room let out a peculiar laugh at his expression, which only added to Zhao Su's confusion.
