Zhao Su was about to agree when Mrs. Zhao waved her hand and said, "You two go ahead and chat. I've got some things to take care of, so I'll be on my way. Su, don't worry about seeing me out. I'll catch a ride back with someone from our hometown."

Before Zhao Su could reply, she hurried down the stairs.

Seeing her rush off, Zhao Su smiled helplessly, understanding exactly what his mother had in mind.

At that moment, he chose not to elaborate. He intended to give his parents some money later to help them live comfortably for a while. After settling in himself, he planned to pay them a visit.

Turning to Luo Yuyan, Zhao Su asked, "What should I do now?"

"First, you're coming with me to meet my dad," Luo Yuyan said quickly.

Zhao Su was momentarily surprised. He had thought he'd be starting the job right away, not realizing an interview was still required.

Having made a commitment, he was ready to meet her father.

They traveled together in a Rolls Royce to Luo Yuyan's home.

As the heads of the largest corporate group locally, the Luo family lived in the grandest villa complex in the area.

They went through three security checkpoints to reach the inner quarters of the estate.

Luo Yuyan exited the car first. As she walked through the door, she excitedly called out, "Dad, I'm back! I've brought a bodyguard for you to meet."

After her call, a middle-aged man with impeccably styled hair walked toward them. His sharp brows and deep-set eyes exuded a commanding presence.

He was Luo Yuyan's father, Xia Zhenshan, the paramount leader of Luo's Group.

However, his gaze softened when he looked at his daughter. "Yuyan, you've arrived just in time. I've hired a personal bodyguard for you. He will ensure your safety," he said.

"Dad, you hired a bodyguard for me?" Luo Yuyan asked.

"Yeah, it's far too dangerous for you to be out there on your own all the time. If you had a bodyguard with you at all times, I'd feel much more at ease," he said.

After Luo Yongzhan finished speaking, a tall and burly man walked up from behind him. His muscles were pronounced, and his fists were larger than a typical clay pot. Anyone hit by him would surely be seriously injured.

He stepped forward with a commanding presence and announced, "Miss, from now on, I'll be your protector!"

After he spoke, Luo Yuyan pouted. She pointed at Zhao Su and said, "I've hired my own bodyguard; I don't need him."

Hearing Luo Yuyan's words, Luo Yongzhan looked up at Zhao Su. Zhao Su was strikingly handsome, though a bit on the slender side.

Facing Luo Yongzhan, Zhao Su introduced himself, "Uncle Luo, hello, my name is Zhao Su."

Luo Yongzhan frowned slightly, expressing his disdain, "Young man, don't think that just because you're handsome and can sweet-talk, you'll be able to deceive my daughter and latch onto a wealthy family. I advise you to leave now to save yourself the embarrassment."

Luo Yongzhan's words angered Zhao Su. His smile disappeared as he replied firmly, "Mr. Luo, I've accepted this job, and I won't be leaving."

Luo Yongzhan snorted, and the muscular bodyguard stepped forward, threatening, "I could take you down with just one hand. You still have time to kneel and beg for mercy!"

Alarmed by the escalating tension, Luo Yuyan quickly intervened, "Dad, what are you trying to do?"
