C2 Night Raid!

Bang! Bang!

At the Martial Training Field, a figure struck with the ferocity of a tiger unleashed, his blows landing on a wooden stake with such force that even the hemp ropes binding it snapped.

A few fellow disciples observed from a distance, murmuring among themselves. "His punches pack more strength and speed than before. It looks like he's reached Body Refining Level Five. Taking him on won't be easy."

"He's just at Body Refining Level Five. Lucky for him, he wasn't killed by that lightning strike. Instead, it seems to have unlocked some latent potential in his body. But using lightning to awaken potential is hardly a stroke of good fortune. Historically, those enhanced by lightning seldom avoid an early demise."

The speaker, Lee Pingshan, had attained Body Refining Level Six. He had joined the sect before Wang Yue, but with only modest talent, he had never managed to reach Body Refining Level Nine or master Essence Refining Qi Transforming. Soon, he would leave the Outer Sect to become a menial worker, losing access to the privileges and Cultivation Resources of an Outer Sect Disciple. He would have to earn his keep through contributions.

Yuan Yi had a knack for recruiting such individuals—those with unremarkable talent who had not advanced to the Qi Refining Stage to become Inner Sect Disciples. They clung to the hope that aligning with Yuan Yi would offer them protection and prevent them from being mistreated as servant disciples in the future.

Those with aspirations or the desire to become Inner Sect Disciples wouldn't dare breach the Sect Rules, making it unlikely for Yuan Yi to sway them into confronting Wang Yue.

Violating the Sect Rules was akin to staining one's reputation, a blemish that could not be overlooked. Even upon reaching the Qi Refining Stage, the Inner Sect Deacons would weigh the decision to admit such individuals.

"Gu Lin, that waste of space, was so close to getting him, but then Iron Bone Faang Jinyu sneaked up and overheard everything. Luckily, he had the guts not to rat us out. Otherwise, well..." Another voice chimed in, dripping with contempt for Gu Lin.

Lee Pingshan wore an expression of relief as he spoke, "No, we should actually be thankful that Gu Lin didn't succeed. Otherwise, where would our credit lie? To prevent any complications, I'll steal the jade pendant tonight after he falls asleep. You two must keep a sharp lookout!"

Both nodded in agreement, their faces lighting up with excitement at the thought of the rewards Yuan Yi had promised.

"Hu!"

Wang Yue let out a slow breath, purging the stale air from his lungs, feeling extremely pleased with his progress. In just one night, he had advanced to Body Refining Level Five, and his heart pounded like a drum, allowing him to momentarily exert the strength of Body Refining Level Six.

This surge of power was fleeting, but it could be a game-changer in combat.

He had a sense that his cultivation was still on the rise, nearing the threshold of Body Refining Level Six. The Moving Technique was something he could practice anytime, even during battle, and it was no different when he trained in fist techniques.

He was mastering the Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique, a staple for any Outer Sect disciple. It was akin to the Tai Chi Fist from his previous life, yet distinct in its method: the Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique gathered energy in stillness and released it in motion, delivering exceptionally powerful strikes. It was a premier martial art within the Outer Sect, and even True Inheritance Disciples often continued to practice it.

The Fist Technique demanded precise control over one's body, a skill that eluded many Inner Sect Disciples. They didn't abandon the technique because it was weak, but because they couldn't truly master it.

Initially, Wang Yue had struggled with the Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique, but after a night's practice, his control had significantly improved. Now, his advancement was swift.

For an Outer Sect Disciple, achieving a degree of proficiency in the Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique meant reaching the Qi Refining Stage was well within reach. This is precisely why this superior Fist Technique was taught to Outer Sect Disciples—it was essential learning.

Unfortunately, many practitioners haven't yet reached the Initial Stage before advancing to the Qi Refining Stage. For individuals like Wang Yue, it seems almost guaranteed they could reach the Initial Stage, yet it might take decades for even one to emerge.

"I initially thought it was merely a Club Suppressing Level Cultivation Method, but I've clearly underestimated the Five-prison Moving Technique. Its effects suggest it's at least at the Clan Suppressing Level, a method capable of bolstering a clan's martial prowess."

Wang Yue, aware of his extraordinary transformation, deepened his understanding of the Five-prison Moving Technique. Cultivation methods are categorized into six levels: Vast Inheritance, Secret Inheritance, Club Suppressing, Clan Suppressing, Sect Suppressing, and Country Suppressing.

Vast Inheritance refers to widely distributed martial arts techniques, while Secret Inheritance denotes techniques closely guarded within a Martial Club. Club Suppressing is the backbone of a Martial Club, typically reserved for the Club Master's discretion. Clan Suppressing methods can fortify a family's martial arts.

Vast Inheritance and Secret Inheritance techniques are relatively common, but starting from Club Suppressing, they become increasingly valuable.

The Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique, while a high-level Fist Technique, is still just at the Club Suppressing Level. Beyond that, other Outer Sect techniques are at the Secret Inheritance Level, a notch above the Martial Club, representing the depth of a sect's legacy.

This means that even if Wang Yue were to leave the sect and form his own family, the Five-prison Moving Technique would suffice. However, since the Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique is exclusive to the Myriad Qi Profound Sect and forbidden from being shared, a family founded on this basis would suffer from a significant gap in strength. Relying on the freely shared Vast Inheritance and Secret Inheritance techniques from the sect, it would be challenging to grow and strengthen.

At the Martial Training Field, his fellow disciples mostly avoided him. While the majority didn't actively oppose him or join Yuan Yi against him, they also didn't want to provoke a senior disciple with considerable influence in the Inner Sect. Most preferred to keep their distance from Wang Yue.

Wang Yue was unfazed by the lack of interaction with others; it was a blessing in disguise as it allowed him to practice his fist technique in peace. He diligently trained, morning and night, mastering the basics of the Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique.

Reaching the entry level was already an achievement few in the Outer Sect could boast. At Body Refining Level Five, Wang Yue could almost walk sideways with the prowess he gained from the entry-level Dynamic-static Clear Two-form Fist Technique.

Yet, he knew it wasn't enough. Wang Yue was aware that Yuan Yi wouldn't let up, and the stronger he became, the more aggressive Yuan Yi's tactics would likely get. He had to keep his true abilities under wraps to ensure he had sufficient power to counter Yuan Yi's animosity.

Inner Sect Disciples weren't allowed to roam the Outer Sect freely, but that didn't mean Yuan Yi couldn't find a way to confront him personally. Until he had the strength to face Yuan Yi, he couldn't consider himself safe.

"Just Qi Refining Level Seven, that's all. Once I reach the Qi Refining Stage, I'll be strong enough to shatter your expectations. Then, we'll see how you try to block my ascent. How could a transmigrator of my stature let someone who's at best a minor boss stand in my way?" Wang Yue's resolve was unshakeable. Although Yuan Yi was a likely candidate to become a True Inheritance Disciple, as long as no elder had taken him as a disciple, he remained an Inner Sect Disciple, with no substantial difference between them.

Access to a clan-suppressing cultivation technique was beyond the reach of even Inner Sect Disciples. Wang Yue had already outpaced everyone by a significant margin. If he were to fall behind now, he thought it would be better to hang himself.

After washing off the sweat and having dinner, Wang Yue returned to his room. Instead of resting, he sat cross-legged on his bed and quietly circulated his Qi.

With a bright future ahead and dangers lurking behind, he could not afford to slacken.

In the still of the night, three figures stealthily emerged from their homes and made their way down to the mid-mountain. This area had been home to the Outer Sect Disciples for the past couple of years, while those from earlier years resided at the summit, the very place they were descending from.

"Is this the room?" one whispered.

"Yes, this is the one," confirmed another.

The noise from outside startled Wang Yue awake. Without a sound, he lay back down on the bed, feigning sleep while his senses remained sharply attuned, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.

*Click!*

The latch on the window was snipped and carefully pushed open. Lee Pingshan crept in through the window, casting a silent sneer at the seemingly slumbering Wang Yue.

Outside, two accomplices clad in black were vigilantly scanning the area. The dim light of the waning moon barely illuminated their figures, painting the perfect backdrop for a night of nefarious deeds. Yet, for all their bravado, they lacked the courage to commit murder.

Lee Pingshan, with graceful movements, made his way to Wang Yue's bedside. The rooms in the Outer Sect were uniformly arranged, so even in the pitch dark, Lee Pingshan was confident he wouldn't miss his mark.

He reached out tentatively, about to rely on touch to pinpoint the location of the jade pendant he aimed to steal, when suddenly, a pair of strong hands seized his arm.

"Damn it!"

Lee Pingshan's face drained of color. In a swift motion, he swung his other arm down towards Wang Yue's head, attempting to knock him unconscious.

But Wang Yue's eyes gleamed in the darkness, his vision sharp enough to catch Lee Pingshan's movements even in the scant moonlight.

Instead of blocking the strike, Wang Yue coiled his body out of the way. The palm missed him, thudding against the pillow instead. Instantly, Wang Yue spun and delivered a kick with the solid force of Body Refining Level Six, sending Lee Pingshan hurtling through the air.

Bang!

The door gave way, and Lee Pingshan was kicked out of the room.

Swish!

A cacophony of sounds erupted as the startled Outer Sect Disciples, roused from their deep sleep by the commotion, scrambled out of their rooms. Clad only in their thin nightclothes and brandishing swords, they rushed to the scene.

"What's the matter?" demanded a voice from the crowd, as a figure pushed through to the front.

In each of the Outer Sect's large courtyards, a Law Enforcement Hall Disciple was stationed. The man who now stepped forward was Hee Ziang, the Law Enforcement Hall Disciple responsible for the Sixteen Academies where Wang Yue resided.

"Senior Brother Hee!" Wang Yue exclaimed, observing Lee Pingshan doubled over on the ground, clutching his belly. His gaze swept the area, landing on two dubious figures clad in black. He addressed Hee Ziang with a respectful bow, "I was deep in sleep when I sensed someone sneaking into my house. Upon waking, I discovered this man inside, poised to strike me with his palm. In self-defense, I retaliated with a kick."

"Understood," Hee Ziang responded knowingly. "I'll handle this. You should get some rest. By tomorrow, I'll have the interrogation results."

With that, he lifted Lee Pingshan and departed for the Law Enforcement Hall.

Yet, come the next morning, Wang Yue was surprised to learn that Lee Pingshan had been released because he had drunkenly mistaken the door to his room.
