The gaunt man turned to leave when two Fire Cloud Birds, with their fiery red wings ablaze, swooped down from the sky and perched on his arm, incessantly chirping.

"Hmm? They followed me here so quickly?"

His expression shifted as he regarded the injured Fire Cloud Bird. "Was it you who led them to me?"

"Chirp! Chirp!"

The wounded spiritual bird cocked its head
