C11 You will Kill Him in front of Him!
Upon seeing his sister awake, Lu Yu nonchalantly tossed King Wei to the ground once more.
"Lu... Lu Yu! Calm down, your sister's awake. I swear I didn't do anything!"
King Wei was shaking from head to toe, having narrowly escaped death's grasp. He was desperate to preserve his newfound lease on life.
Then, an idea struck him, and he turned to Lu Lengshuang, yelling, "General Lu, restrain your brother! He's out to harm me!"
King Wei was banking on Lu Lengshuang's unwavering loyalty to the royal family to intervene.
And she did. Witnessing Lu Yu's grip tighten around King Wei's neck, Lu Lengshuang, fearing her less discerning brother might inadvertently kill the king, cried out, "Little Yu, stop!"
The Knife Qi in Lu Yu's palm was gathering force, its presence formidable.
"Stop now! Do you want to doom our family to ruin?!" Lu Lengshuang rebuked him, her mind racing with disbelief.
Was that true qi materializing?
Little Yu, a Xiantian master? Impossible!
Lu Yu turned to his sister and said, "Sister, did you know this scoundrel drugged you unconscious and had someone seal your cultivation level with ill intent?"
"What?!"
Lu Lengshuang was jolted to full alertness. She had sensed something amiss since awakening.
Trying to channel her true qi, she found her meridians completely obstructed by an overpowering force, rendering her unable to muster any true qi.
Her whole body felt unnaturally weak, devoid of any strength.
"What's happening!?" A shock ran through Lu Lengshuang, but her keen intellect quickly pieced together the situation.
She was all too familiar with King Wei's nature—others might not stoop to such lows, but there was nothing he wouldn't dare do.
"Your Highness King Wei, you're behind this!" Lu Lengshuang accused, her voice icy, her expression frosty.
King Wei's voice caught in his throat as he felt the lethal intent emanating from both Lu Yu and Lu Lengshuang, his heart nearly ceasing to beat.
King Wei bellowed, "Lu Lengshuang, your brother is attempting to assassinate me. Should I perish, your entire Lu Family will descend to the grave alongside me!"
"Seeking your own demise!"
Lu Yu's fingertips surged with black Knife Qi, fiercely slashing towards King Wei.
At that instant.
"My lord, mercy begets mercy. King Wei has erred, but his mistake has not wrought grave consequences. Please, temper your aggression." A figure suddenly materialized before Lu Yu.
Clad in a crimson python robe, the man's face was smooth, devoid of any facial hair, and he radiated an eerie, formidable presence.
Upon his arrival, Lu Yu's brow creased in concern.
This was a eunuch, yet unlike any he had encountered before.
His presence was muted, his power hidden, with only a whisper of formidable aura encircling him.
The eunuch appeared motionless, but an invisible barrier of true qi had already formed in front of King Wei.
Thwack!
The Knife Qi unleashed by Lu Yu met the barrier and was halted, dissipating into nothingness a mere fist's breadth from King Wei's nose.
"And who might you be?" Lu Yu inquired, his eyebrows arching.
"I am Liu Bao, eunuch of the Bureau of Rites and commander of the East Factory," the eunuch in the serpent robe replied, standing before King Wei as a flicker of darkness crossed his gaze.
Lu Yu's frown deepened. "You're defending him?"
With a chilling smirk, Liu Bao addressed Lu Yu, "Young lord, I'd advise against rashness in my presence. Should you come to harm, it would be a difficult matter to explain upon Lord Yongping's return."
Lu Lengshuang, drained of strength and unable to rise, called out in desperation, "Little Yu, come back!"
She knew all too well the terror that the old eunuch Liu Bao represented, her heart racing with urgency, yet her body was too feeble to act.
Lu Yu regarded Liu Bao with an icy stare. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of a sinister gleam in King Wei's eyes, lurking behind Liu Bao.
This man, if left unchecked, would surely exact his vengeance in time.
A flicker of intent crossed Lu Yu's mind, and with a sudden surge, a formidable Knife Qi erupted from his fingertip. Liu Bao had no time to react as it instantly swept past him and punctured King Wei's forehead.
"Puff!"
King Wei's head burst open, akin to a shattered watermelon.
"What can you do if I kill him right before your eyes?" Lu Yu's voice was icy as he spoke.
