To Gu Ming, this chariot was his greatest asset in this post-apocalyptic world. The origins of the apocalypse remained a mystery, but Gu Ming had his chariot, and that was all that mattered.

Setting down his telescope, Gu Ming patted his dog, Lucky, and lifted his four-year-old daughter into his arms. Her innocent expression, round face, and small mouth were his beacon of hope amidst the despair. Despite the desolation he had witnessed, his family of three remained intact, and for that, he was grateful.
