C11 A Mystical Grade Cultivation Technique

"I'll give you five seconds to decide. If you won't kneel, then you can leave," Chu Tianfei said, deliberately tormenting Han Zong. For the sake of his son, he was prepared to kneel.

"The cultivation technique must be of the Profound level," Han Zong insisted.

"No problem. The Profound Thunder Technique is a low-grade Profound level cultivation technique," Chu Tianfei responded.

Han Zong finally resolved himself. If it meant securing a good cultivation technique for his son, he was willing to concede.

Han Zong walked slowly to the memorial hall, with Chu Tianfei trailing behind him. "Son, this sinner has come to kneel before you. Your father was powerless, unable to save you then. Now, let this sinner take your place in punishment."

"Now, kneel!" Chu Tiancheng commanded.

As Han Zong was about to kneel, a loud shout came from outside: "Don't kneel!"

The newcomer was Han Fei. He entered and, seeing his father about to kneel, felt a son's duty to prevent such an indignity.

"Father, there's a difference between humans and beasts. You shouldn't kneel," Han Fei stated icily.

"What did you say?" Chu Tianfei exploded with rage.

"Your son was the one at fault, yet you demand others to kneel. It's your indulgence that led to his downfall. If anyone should kneel, it's you!" Han Fei retorted sharply.

"I wouldn't even bother using your worthless cultivation technique. Get out of my sight!" Han Fei bellowed.

His voice carried the authority of his past life as an emperor, the anger of someone from a higher station, suggesting that failure to comply would lead to dire consequences.

Chu Tianfei, upon hearing this, reacted as if a powerful being had commanded him, and without a second thought, he stepped aside.

Han Fei went to his father's side, helping him up. "Father, you've been wronged. I promise, from now on, I will make the Chu family pay for this."

Initially, because this place was his mother's family home, Han Fei had felt a lingering fondness. But now, seeing the true colors of Chu Tianfei, his uncle, that last bit of nostalgia had vanished.

"Let's go," Han Fei said, leading his father towards the door. Han Zong smiled with pride; his son was indeed a man of strong character and resilience.

"Living a pointless life," Chu Tianfei muttered, finally regaining his composure. He spat viciously at the departing figures of the father and son.

Once outside the Chu family's gate, his father admonished, "Son, you acted too rashly. That was a Low-grade Profound Rank technique. If you had obtained it, you could have achieved great results in the upcoming competition two months from now. Being favored by the sect could have led to a bright future. The slight I endured is of no consequence."

Han Fei glanced back at the Chu residence, his eyes seething with suppressed rage. He vowed to make them pay for their actions one day.

"Father, I don't need the Chu Clan's charity to make a name for myself in the competition. Besides, what good is a technique acquired through your humiliation?" Han Fei's voice was laced with unwavering resolve.

"Good, my son, I have faith in you. You're destined for success," his father replied, his belief in his son's potential growing stronger. He was convinced that Han Fei was not meant for mediocrity; he was destined to soar to great heights.

Back at home, Han Fei wasted no time and began practicing the fist technique from the Emperor's Codex, the Shadowstrike. This technique was a High-grade Profound Rank skill, highly esteemed within the Cloudmist Order. It's worth noting that the Order only possessed two Earth Rank techniques, reserved for the most gifted individuals.

But Han Fei was no ordinary practitioner. In his past life, he had achieved the status of Divine Monarch and had mastered several Heaven Rank techniques. However, the more advanced the technique, the higher the required level, and currently, Han Fei was not able to wield them.

Shadowstrike consisted of ten forms, each more challenging to master than the last. Once fully mastered, one could even contend with a mid-stage Body Refining Realm cultivator.

Without much rest, Han Fei commenced his training.

The first form of Shadowstrike, Life Siphon, was the foundational move, yet it packed a significant punch. Upon mastery, the practitioner's palm would develop a powerful suction force, proving to be a surprising advantage in combat.

Han Fei gradually focused all of his Qi into his hand, methodically channeling it as the technique described in the ancient texts. Before long, a vortex of energy formed in the center of his palm.

With meticulous care, he directed the swirling energy toward the fallen leaves. They stirred in response, yet frustratingly, they fluttered in the wrong direction.

This wouldn't do, Han Fei mused. With only two months remaining until the grand competition, securing a top rank would require full mastery of this technique.

Time and again, he persisted, his clothing drenched with sweat as he expended and replenished his Qi. After five relentless days, Han Fei gazed at the massive stone in his palm and nodded with contentment—he had mastered the technique at last. Without pausing for rest, he immediately set out to learn the second palm technique, Soulbreath. This technique was a complement to the first, designed to draw the opponent in before propelling them away with a sudden burst. This push and pull could inflict significant damage on an adversary.

Yet, Han Fei knew this wasn't the intended use of the move. In his past life, he had faced numerous formidable foes, one of whom was particularly challenging. That enemy had practiced the Way of Tai Chi, harnessing King Level strength to wield the might of a pseudo-Divine Monarch. It was a formidable power.

Han Fei acutely sensed that his opponent's strength came from the blows of others, which he then converted into his own energy through an enigmatic technique, creating an invincible cycle.

Now, if he used Life Siphon to draw the opponent in, already laden with power, perhaps he could then apply Soulbreath to utilize that energy, conserving his own Qi in the process.

With this revelation, Han Fei eagerly began experimenting. He focused intently on the flow of his Qi and his manipulation of external objects. The more he contemplated, the more promising the strategy seemed.

He started by drawing a bottle on the table toward him. Midway, he swiftly transitioned to the second technique. However, the bottle veered off in the opposite direction.

This was not the outcome he sought. He aimed for a ricochet effect, where the bottle would be propelled outward at the precise moment of retraction, maximizing the potential harm to his opponents.

After a full day of fine-tuning, Han Fei finally managed to achieve the desired effect with his techniques. By using these two methods together, he could not only conserve his Origin Energy but also unleash a force far more powerful than when employing each technique separately.

Once again, Han Fei drew the bottle toward himself, but just as he was about to grasp it, the bottle shot off in the opposite direction at a speed several times faster than before. It slammed into the wall and shattered instantly.

Surveying the fragments scattered across the floor, Han Fei allowed himself a slight smile. With this technique at his disposal, there would likely be few contenders in the competition capable of withstanding such a blow.
