C16 Defeat the Zombies!

Shen Faang glanced at Wang Mengyan and inquired, "Why have you come?"

Without elaborating further, Wang Mengyan offered Shen Faang a smile and responded, "If you can be here, why can't I? I owe you my life for the rescue earlier. Without that, I wouldn't even know where I'd be right now."

Shen Faang refrained from further conversation; time was of the essence. He needed to haul the cables upstairs posthaste. Only by doing so could they hope to incapacitate the zombies and secure his own survival.

So, Shen Faang urged Wang Mengyan, "Right now, our top priority is to stun the zombies below with the electric saw. Let's quickly pull these cables up. That's our only chance to make a swift escape from here."

After hearing this, Wang Mengyan remained silent, understanding that this was their best course of action at the moment. Together, they headed for the staircase, intent on hefting the heavy cables.

As they grasped the cables, Shen Faang and Wang Mengyan's hands brushed against each other. The contact sent a jolt through Wang Mengyan, as if an electric current had passed between them.

Yet, neither of them dwelled on the moment. They were acutely aware of the difficulty of their situation.

Moreover, having survived the ordeal together, their affection for one another had quickly intensified.

But this was not the time for emotions to take over. They both knew they needed a flawless plan to confront the zombies. The immediate task was to get the cables upstairs.

Shen Faang looked at Wang Mengyan and encouraged her, "Mengyan, we need to give it our all. If we manage to get these cables upstairs right now, we'll be able to get out of here soon. Once we're safe, I believe our bond will only grow stronger."

After hearing Shen Faang's words, Wang Mengyan was at a loss for words. However, she recognized the courage it took for Shen Faang to express such sentiments, indicating he was fully prepared for what lay ahead.

Wang Mengyan was moved by Shen Faang's words, and she returned his smile, saying, "Don't mention it. I did what needed to be done. If I hadn't helped with the cables today, we'd both be dead at the hands of these zombies. I did it not just for one person, but for the safety of us all."

Deep down, Shen Faang knew that he and Wang Mengyan simply hadn't acknowledged the obvious; they had feelings for each other but hadn't expressed them.

However, since Wang Mengyan hadn't brought it up, he didn't want to dwell on such matters during a life-threatening crisis. He resolved that if they managed to survive, he would pursue a romantic relationship with her as soon as possible.

Then, Shen Faang gathered everyone together to explain the next steps.

He addressed the group, "I've come up with a perfect plan. We'll use these cables to electrocute the zombies. Once they're incapacitated, we can make our escape."

"In a moment, we must stand together. We can't afford to repeat our earlier mistakes, or we'll all perish here. Understood?"

After Shen Faang spoke, everyone hung their heads, ashamed. They had been busy pointing fingers instead of finding a solution. Only Shen Faang and Wang Mengyan had the foresight to retrieve the cables, giving them a glimmer of hope for survival.

So, they began to split up and take action. They encircled the zombie with the cable. Soon, at Shen Faang's signal, they would swiftly pull the cable inward.

By doing this, the cable would fall onto the zombie. And once they flipped the electric switch, the zombie would be instantly electrocuted and fall to the ground.

At Shen Faang's command, everyone eased their grip on the cables, letting them converge towards the center. Shen Faang was in charge of the most critical element: the electric switch.

In a moment, once the cables made contact with the zombies, he would activate the switch, and the zombies would be stunned by the electric current. This was, by far, the best solution they had.

The zombies had no idea what was happening. When Shen Faang activated the switch, they felt the electricity coursing through their bodies, but it was too late. Shen Faang wouldn't afford them any mercy. With one pull of the switch, all the zombies would instantly collapse.

As anticipated, the zombies fell rapidly to the ground after the electric shock. Shen Faang was filled with pride.

He had devised such an impeccable strategy that resolved all their conflicts and prevented the situation from escalating unfavorably.

Seeing the zombies fall, everyone was overjoyed. There was no longer any self-blame; instead, they all expressed their admiration for Shen Faang's courageous and decisive actions.
