C11 A Cave
The two Little Demons continued their loud conversation, oblivious to the impending danger. At that moment, Qin Biao's legs were coiled tightly, his body brimming with a terrifying potential for explosive power.
Suddenly, Qin Biao launched himself forward with a powerful thrust of his legs, shooting out like an arrow directly at the faces of the two Little Demons. They reacted with horror, but it was too late. A tail descended from above with the force of a thousand pounds, crashing down upon them.
With a heavy thud, the two Little Demons lay unconscious on the ground. Since his battle with Duan Hao, Qin Biao had recognized the need to enhance his offensive techniques. Besides rigorous training, he focused on strengthening his tail.
The diligent practice paid off, and Qin Soong's tail became a formidable weapon. Given enough preparation time, even Duan Hao would struggle to withstand its power.
Qin Biao looked at the Little Demons sprawled on the ground, took a deep breath, and dragged them into a nearby hollowed-out tree. Transforming into the appearance of a Little Demon, he emerged from the tree hole, ensuring there were no giveaways. He then blocked the entrance with a large stone, imagining the Little Demons' despair upon awakening.
"Sorry, you'll have to wait until this is over before coming out," Qin Biao said with a slight smile, then swiftly made his way toward the Demon King's lair.
A short while later, as the time for an incense stick to burn passed, Qin Biao sensed an overwhelming demonic aura ahead. He paused and concealed himself in the tree branches, observing the scene below.
In the distance, a diverse array of Demons had assembled before a cave entrance that glowed with a soft purple light, flickering with intricate talismans that seemed on the verge of fading away.
Dozens of Demon species milled about the entrance, with a nearly fully transformed old tiger at the forefront, its vibrant tail still trailing behind. The air was charged with tension, the Demons vigilant. Tiger Man, the most powerful among them, had cleared a space around him.
"This could be tricky. I didn't expect to encounter one undergoing Shape Transforming. But since he hasn't made a move, he's likely cautious of the other Demons around," Qin Biao thought, relieved. He began searching for a group that resembled the Little Demons.
Qin Biao quickly located his kin in a secluded corner. Leading them was a Rat Demon, distinguishable by its unique purple fur, while the Little Demons trailing behind sported green coats. They bore a resemblance to Qin Biao.
Yet, Qin Biao was distressed; the Rat Demon's group was situated too far from the cave.
The arrangement outside the cave seemed deliberate, with the formidable Tiger Man claiming the forefront. He was followed by a vibrant Five-color Bird, with a retinue of at least a hundred other Little Demons, each adorned in an array of hues.
Trailing them was a contingent of Snake Spirits, led by a formidable king cobra, its chilling tongue flickering incessantly.
As Qin Biao pondered his allegiance shift, the once tranquil Demonic Qi erupted into chaos. Piercing screams filled the air.
The purple glow at the cave's entrance vanished, and Tiger Man charged forth.
Yet, the Five-color Bird and the king cobra ambushed Tiger Man. He seemed unfazed, but unbeknownst to them, the real threat was the five-foot-long saber he wielded—a weapon of lethal intent.
Taken aback, the Five-color Bird and the king cobra realized retreat was not an option. A horde of eager adversaries was at their heels, ready to pounce. A single step back would plunge them into turmoil, leaving them vulnerable to Tiger Man's opportunistic strike.
With resolve, the Five-color Bird emitted a piercing cry skyward, its plumage blossoming like petals, from which a barrage of five-color light surged towards Tiger Man. Meanwhile, the king cobra expelled a gush of sticky green venom, blending with the five-color light in a combined assault on Tiger Man.
Unruffled, Tiger Man wielded his saber with the grace of a sea-emerging dragon, ensnaring himself in its dance and severing the incoming five-color light and venom with swift precision. The mass of Five-color Birds and snake monsters descended upon Tiger Man in a frenzied attack.
With a thunderous "Roar!" Tiger Man's bellow sent birds scattering from the forest canopy, as the symbol of "King" on his forehead shimmered into view, and the spectral presence of a colossal white tiger loomed behind him.
Overwhelmed by Tiger Man's aura, the snake monsters and Five-color Birds halted, petrified and quivering, their assault interrupted by the sheer force of his presence.
The Five-color Bird regained consciousness, but it was too late to save itself. A glint of cold light flashed before its eyes, and then its body was cleaved in two, tumbling to the ground as fresh red blood spilled everywhere.
Before the king cobra had a chance to wake up, Tiger Man had already decapitated it, popping the head into his mouth, chewing briefly, and swallowing it down. With that, the two formidable Demon Kings met their end. The other demons hadn't even had time to react before Tiger Man leaped into the cave, claiming the title of the first Demon King.
At the same moment, Qin Biao came to his senses after the shock of Tiger Man's presence. He saw the chaos erupting once again on the ground below and felt a surge of urgency. With Tiger Man already inside, any other Demon King's entry would render Qin Biao's efforts futile and unprofitable. Yet, the melee was so intense that to join now would be tantamount to suicide, not to mention the impossibility of entering the cave.
Suddenly, a cloud of purple smoke erupted across the clearing. Qin Biao, quick to react, covered his mouth and backed away rapidly.
He soon discovered that the purple mist was not toxic. The demons that inhaled the mist had their eyes flash with a red glow, and an unprecedented ferocity ignited within them. The fight escalated in ferocity, the death toll soared, and demon blood drenched the earth. Even those demons who had intended to take advantage of the chaos turned on one another in a frenzied melee.
Observing the pandemonium, Qin Biao noticed a Rat Demon without a single wound on its body, yet it was wailing incessantly as it inched ever closer to the cave.
