At just eight years old, Tenno's physical strength was remarkable, allowing him to carry a hefty two hundred pounds. Over the following six months, he diligently worked on mastering the Eight Directions Hidden Gates. After several trials, Tenno found that his body could finally withstand the powerful impact of the Gates without harm.
Meanwhile, Guy Might was far from taking it easy. Besides coaching Tenno with the Hidden Gates, he was swamped with a plethora of missions from Konoha. The tragic fall of the Uchiha family had created a severe shortage of manpower, leaving the village's defenses at their weakest. Even an Elite Jonin like Guy Might was kept busy with an extensive list of tasks.
As another six months rolled by, Konoha had regained its footing, with all systems functioning smoothly again. By this time, Tenno had reached the age of nine and his capacity to bear weight had increased to three hundred pounds. Following his initial plan, he began to learn the Konoha Whirlwind under Guy Might's tutelage.
On the training grounds of Konoha, Tenno's legs glowed with a vibrant green Chakra, wrapping around his lower limbs. He unleashed a ferocious kick against a tree trunk, and with a resounding boom, wood chips flew as the tree split and fell.
Guy Might's eyes widened in awe. "Tenno, your rate of learning is incredible! How did you master this technique so quickly?" he marveled.
"It's likely due to my consistent training in Body Technique. I had already perfected the Konoha Whirlwind, giving me a solid base in both Chakra control and physical prowess. That made learning this new skill seem relatively simple," Tenno replied.
Guy Might nodded, acknowledging the validity of Tenno's assessment. He understood that while acquiring new techniques was crucial, the foundation of success lay in consistent training and a robust mastery of Body Technique.
Still, Guy Might couldn't resist praising him further, "Tenno, there's no need to downplay your talent. I've never seen anyone your age with such advanced Body Technique skills! You're truly a prodigy!"
Tenno offered a modest smile, accepting the compliment in stride.
Just then, Guy Might was called away by the Assassin Force, summoned to a Jonin meeting at the Hokage's office.
Alone on the training field, Tenno continued his intense regimen, showing no signs of easing up even in Guy Might's absence.
A loud boom echoed through the air as wood chips flew in all directions. Astonishingly, a large tree had been split in two by Tenno's powerful kick and now lay fallen. Guy Might's eyes were wide with shock.
"Tenno, you're picking up skills at an incredible pace! Have you really mastered this technique so quickly?" Guy Might couldn't help but exclaim.
"It might have something to do with my consistent physical training," Tenno replied. "Plus, I've already perfected the Konoha Whirlwind, so I've got a solid foundation in both chakra control and physical prowess. That's probably why learning this new skill feels relatively easy."
Guy Might nodded in agreement, fully endorsing Tenno's explanation. After all, in the study of body techniques, the mastery of skills wasn't the most crucial part—it was the daily physical conditioning and foundational training that mattered most.
However, Guy Might added, "Tenno, there's no need for modesty. I've never seen anyone your age achieve such a level of physical prowess! You're undoubtedly a prodigy!"
Tenno just smiled, not denying the compliment.
At that moment, Guy Might received a summons from the Assassin Force to attend a Jonin meeting in the Hokage's office. The training ground was left with only Tenno, who continued his training undeterred, even in Guy Might's absence.
Then, a small figure in a qipao made her way toward Tenno's training area. "Brother!" Tiantian called out from a distance.
Tenno focused his gaze and recognized his sister. "Tiantian, what are you doing here?"
Tiantian pouted, her face the picture of grievance. "Brother, you haven't forgotten what today is, have you?"
With an embarrassed chuckle, Tenno conceded, "Alright, you got me. What day is it then? Help me out here, sis."
For men like Tenno, this could be a dangerously fatal question.
Scratching his head, Tenno drew a blank, unable to think of anything.
"Your birthday? My birthday? Our parents' birthdays?" he asked in succession.
Tiantian retorted angrily, "Both of our birthdays were last month, and our parents' aren't until winter! Your guesses are way off!"
All Tenno could do was offer an awkward chuckle. "So, what day is it? Come on, sis, just tell me."
Hands on her hips, Tiantian declared, "It's the Spring Festival! We agreed to go out and enjoy the spring together!"
Realization dawned on Tenno's face.
He hadn't given the Spring Festival much thought before.
In Konoha Village, the Spring Festival was a lively affair, with various activities and celebrations.
The streets of Konoha would be filled with performances, and villagers would don beautiful kimonos to stroll and admire the blossoming gardens.
Tiantian and Tenno had participated several times before.
To him, these repetitive events had lost their charm.
But now, with the scenery outside at its peak and cherry blossoms in full bloom, an idea struck him. "How about we invite some friends and have a barbecue in the great outdoors?"
"Barbecue?" Tiantian's eyes lit up instantly, and she leaped up excitedly, exclaiming, "That's fantastic! I've been wanting to have an outdoor barbecue for ages!"
"You get the food, I'll get the cooking gear and charcoal, and we'll invite any friends we run into. Meet by the river, how does that sound?" Tenno suggested.
Tiantian nodded immediately, "No problem! I'll go get the food right now!"
With that, she hurried off into the distance, clearly looking forward to the picnic.
And Tenno felt that his daily grind of training was indeed too monotonous.
He should take a break, relax, and have a good time with friends.
Her cheeks had taken on the hue of cherry blossoms, a delicate pink that betrayed her shyness.
