C7 Ice Cutting Fish
The Arquet Mountains were not far from the Beautine Clan. However, because the Beautine Clan was surrounded by three mountains, Arslan and the others had to detour around the north side of the mountain to reach the Arquet Mountains.
Arslan remembered that two years ago, Mull had taken him to the Arquet Mountains to catch fish. However, it was summer at that time, and the ice on the lake had melted. They were holding wooden sticks and waiting for the fish to reach the shore. Then, they swung their sticks and scooped up the fish.
This time, however, Arslan and the others had come to the Arquet Mountains with tools that were not just simple wooden sticks.
Before coming here, Arslan had asked Popit and Mull to bring some people to the back mountain to cut down a lot of black bamboo and sharpen the bamboo. They made a simple fish fork.
Along the way, Arslan asked Mull, "The tribe is near the forest, so there should be beasts around. Why did you have to go so far away?"
Mull replied helplessly, "There are wild beasts in the forest near the tribe, but they are too cunning. We can't catch them!"
"Can't catch it?" Arslan asked curiously, "What beast is it?"
"It's not a particularly powerful wild beast. It's just a very fast one. It's a sheep." Mull shook his head, "This sheep runs faster than a caribou in the forest!"
"This forest sheep will purposely appear near our hunting grounds. As long as we get close to it, it will run away from us. The noise it makes will alert the other wild beasts!"
Arslan was surprised. He felt that this Lin Yang's IQ seemed to be very high.
Mull's expression clearly showed that he was helpless against Lin Yang.
Arslan carefully searched for the word "Lin Sheep" in the system in his mind. Soon, an image of a Lin Sheep popped up. It was almost the same as the sheep in his previous life. The only difference was that its fur was yellow, brown, and white. Its body was even more vigorous.
"Yes, we will also raise Lin Yang in the future!" Arslan nodded and said.
Mull was incomparably surprised. "Chieftain... Arslan, the food in the tribe is not enough to feed them. How can we even raise them?"
"It's not enough now, but it doesn't mean that it won't be enough in the future!" Arslan laughed, "Don't worry, we'll get enough food on the mountain today, then we'll think of a way to catch other beasts!"
"Alright!"
The group quickly arrived at the top of the Arquet Mountains. There was indeed a large lake here. It looked as big as two football fields.
Everyone came to the lakeside and looked at each other. In the end, they looked at Arslan and said, "Mu... Arslan, this place is filled with ice. What should we do?"
The people of the tribe finally got used to it. They changed their chief to "Arslan".
Although they looked embarrassed, their eyes were filled with excitement.
"It's simple!" Arslan said with a smile, "Take out the bone blade and start chiseling the ice!"
"What are you doing?" Mull asked curiously, "Aren't we here to catch fish?"
Arslan did not answer but asked, "Where is the fish?"
Mull was stunned and said subconsciously, "It's freezing in the water."
After that, he reacted again, "I understand now!"
Arslan nodded and said, "That's good. Don't just stand there. Everyone find a place to dig the ice. Stay a little further away from the ice hole. Don't fall into the ice hole!"
"Yes!" The crowd moved and started to dig the ice.
Alona's hands were moving, and her small face was red from the cold. She was so cute that she went up to Arslan and said, "Brother Arslan, is this useful? If we just dig the ice, we might not be able to find the fish!"
"Don't worry. No matter where we dig the ice, as long as there is an ice hole, the fish will appear!" Arslan said confidently.
At the same time, he thought in his heart, "If you had seen the northern Dacheng Lake in the winter, you would not be so strange!"
"Why?" Alona blinked her almond eyes.
It was unknown if it was because of the cold air on the lake, but Alona's eyes were covered with a layer of mist, which made her look even more intelligent.
"Because the fish is in the ice, they feel depressed. They want to come out and breathe in the air!"
"Is that so?" Alona tilted her head and thought for a moment, then said, "Then can I follow you?"
"Of course!" Arslan laughed, "Let's wait for the fish to come out of the hole."
"Alright!"
After a short while, the forty to fifty people who came each dug an ice hole and put away their bone blades. They looked at Arslan.
" Arslan, what should we do now?" Popit and Mull asked at the same time.
"Now we just have to wait for the fish to come out. We can just hold our bamboo forks and fish. If you don't know how to use the bamboo forks, you can use the wooden sticks!"
"But there are no fish now. Who can guarantee that they will definitely appear?" Before Mull finished his sentence, he suddenly looked at the ice hole in front of him in surprise.
A fish mouth the size of half a fist suddenly appeared in the hole. It opened and closed its mouth as it started to breathe!
Mull was stunned for a moment, as if he could not believe his eyes.
"Ah!" Alona exclaimed and looked at the hole in surprise. "There really are fish!"
Arslan, on the other hand, picked up the bamboo fork beside him and quickly walked towards Mull. He then poked the big fish's mouth!
"Puchi!" With a dull sound, Arslan felt his palm tremble.
The rest of the people looked at Arslan nervously, watching him bend over and look at the ice hole.
"He didn't hit it?" Alona was nervous. Her eyes were watery and filled with anticipation.
Arslan bent down and reached out with one hand to grab the bamboo fork, and with the other hand, he reached into the ice hole. He dragged the water that was gushing out of the ice hole and fell onto the ice surface.
The big fish that was dragged out of the hole was about one meter long. It was jumping around on the ice!
Seeing that the big fish was about to fall back into the ice cave, Mull quickly grabbed the bamboo fork beside him and blocked its path.
The big fish jumped a few more times before it froze on the ice and did not move anymore!
"Oh! Oh! Oh!" The crowd cheered, "There really are fish!"
