C14 Miraculous Treatment of Illnesses

When Ye Yu saw someone in distress, he didn't hesitate. He pushed open the hospital's entrance and dashed inside. There, he found a young nurse crouched on the floor, clutching her abdomen in agony, her face contorted with pain. Yet, even as Ye Yu burst in, she remembered her duties and tried to push him away.

Ye Yu caught her outstretched hand, pressing two fingers against her wrist. He quickly detected an irregularity in her pulse. Menstrual cramps—a devilish torment for any young woman!

Without wasting words, Ye Yu squatted down, gently pulled the nurse into his arms, and with a precise touch of his right hand, pressed on the Qi Sea acupoint just below her navel.

"Stop it, you jerk! I'll scream!" she protested, struggling.

But as she did, her name tag caught Ye Yu's eye:

Chiang Ling, female, 21, nursing intern from Yangcheng University.

"An intern, that explains the shyness. An experienced nurse would've probably jabbed me with a sedative by now," Ye Yu mused internally, continuing to massage Chiang Ling's Qi Sea acupoint rhythmically.

This wasn't harassment; he was treating her condition...

Chiang Ling, feeling Ye Yu's continued touch, was ready to cry out against his improper behavior. But as she opened her mouth, a warm wave spread through her abdomen, soothing and comforting. The pain was gone—completely gone!

The menstrual pain had been a long-standing issue for Chiang Ling, one she was too embarrassed to discuss. Without proper medical attention, it had worsened over time, leading to severe discomfort during her periods.

"Does it still hurt?" Ye Yu asked.

Chiang Ling shook her head.

"Do you think I'm a hooligan?"

Again, she shook her head, now seeing Ye Yu in a new light—as a skilled, albeit unorthodox, doctor.

"There you go. The world isn't full of hooligans, is it?" Ye Yu remarked, leaning closer to Chiang Ling and playfully scraping her nose with his finger, which made her blush instantly.

He was definitely acting like a hooligan!

"Cough, cough, let's move elsewhere!"

A soft cough sounded from behind. Ye Yu turned to see a middle-aged woman in a nurse's uniform. She was giving Ye Yu and Chiang Ling a look that seemed to say, "It's okay, carry on," clearly having misunderstood the situation.

"Yes, Head Nurse, it's not what you think. He and I have nothing to do with each other. He just touched my stomach, that's all!"

As soon as she uttered those words, Chiang Ling clamped her mouth shut.

She had intended to clarify things, but her nerves made her tongue-tied. The more she tried to explain, the more tangled the explanation became.

The Head Nurse, with a knowing smile, said, "I get it, no need to explain," and then turned to head back to the nurse's station. Before disappearing around the corner, she called back with a hint, "The corridor by the restroom is quite quiet, you know!"

Chiang Ling's face flushed a deeper shade of red, resembling a ripe red apple.

Ye Yu, on the other hand, was nonchalant, casually whistling a tune.

"It's all your fault!" Chiang Ling chided softly, smoothing out the wrinkles Ye Yu had caused in her clothing.

"What did I do? Should I be responsible for you then?" The trials of the otherworld had given Ye Yu a stoic heart, allowing him to remain shamelessly unfazed in any situation.

"Hmph, I don't need you to be responsible. I have a boyfriend, you know!"

Her claim was unconvincing, and Ye Yu immediately saw through her bluff. If she really had a boyfriend, she wouldn't be so bashful.

Now that they were in the hospital ward, Chiang Ling no longer held Ye Yu back and led him straight to Yang Lanfang's room.

On Bed 6 sat a woman, hugging her knees and staring intently at a sparrow on the windowsill.

This was Yang Yi's mother, Yang Lanfang. Her face was lined with wrinkles, making her appear to be in her sixties or seventies, yet Ye Yu knew she was only forty-seven.

It seemed as though the heavens were perpetually asleep, never opening their eyes to witness the hardships of those on earth.
