He was once a professional designer with a formidable skill set in engineering design, not to mention his keen eye for aesthetics.

Upon reviewing Liu Dagang's design, Lee was quite pleased, but Su Chen's work left him utterly astounded.

"With the deputy director of the marketing department position open, I've decided it's yours. Don't worry about your intern status; you're being promoted, effective immediately!"

Lee Wenkang spoke with palpable excitement.

Witnessing the scene, Su Chen allowed a slight smile to grace his lips.

"I have no interest in this position. If you're set on appointing a deputy director, I'd recommend my mentor. After all, he's the one who guided me to achieve all this!" Su Chen gestured towards Zhang Heng.

Zhang Heng's face was a picture of elation, his entire body quivering with emotion.

He owed a great debt of gratitude to Su Chen. Without Su Chen's intervention, Zhang Heng would have been soundly defeated by Liu Dagang. But Su Chen's arrival had turned the tables, altering his destiny in a dramatic twist.

Director Liu and Liu Dagang were seething, so much so that they looked ready to explode. They shook with barely contained rage.

Once he grasped the situation, he wasted no time in declaring Zhang Heng the new deputy director of the marketing department. Director Liu might have wanted to interject, but he was left speechless.

At that moment, Lee Wenkang, having accomplished his task, exited the office with the USB drive in hand, his heart brimming with satisfaction.

The USB drive held Su Chen's freshly crafted design plan.

He intended to submit the plan for review to the client and a few engineers. Once Lee Wenkang had left the room, Liu Dagang fixed a venomous glare on Su Chen.

"You've got nerve, kid. Just an intern, and you cross me? I'll make sure you regret it!" Liu Dagang spat out furiously.

His anger had reached a boiling point.

The once secure role of deputy director of the marketing department had been snatched away, leaving Liu Dagang seething with discomfort.

Now, he directed all his bitterness towards Su Chen.

Yet Su Chen remained unfazed.

Zhang Heng, still somewhat bewildered, was at a loss for words and let out a heavy sigh.

He gave Su Chen's shoulder a reassuring pat before stepping out.

Despite his doubts about Su Chen's ability to pull off such a design, Zhang Heng chose to trust him in these trying times.

Watching his mentor's retreating figure, Su Chen's smile broadened. At last, the mentor and mentee duo were on the cusp of brighter days.

His face contorted with fury.

"Big brother, are we just going to take this lying down?" Liu Dagang's fists were clenched, his entire being consumed by rage.
