C14 Dealing with

Liu Dagang was seething with rage, his arrogance reaching new heights. As Director Liu's cousin, he wielded considerable power within the marketing department. Yet, the position of deputy director he had just secured had vanished before his eyes, and his fury towards Su Chen was beyond containment.

"Big brother, please let me handle him!" Liu Dagang, sleeves rolled up, was livid with anger, ready to give Su Chen a piece of his mind. In his youth, Liu Dagang had trained as a boxer and even went pro, boasting formidable skills. Even among amateur boxers, he was a force to be reckoned with. His fists were like iron, capable of overwhelming any average person. His hatred for Su Chen ran deep, and he was itching for a confrontation.

But upon hearing his words, Director Liu shot him a fierce glare. "Use your head! He's just earned the chairman's commendation. If you go after him now, you might drag me down with you!" Director Liu snapped.

Liu Dagang's face soured at the rebuke. Despite his bravado, he harbored a deep-seated fear of Director Liu. The scolding left him feeling utterly uncomfortable.

"So we just swallow our pride and let Zhang Heng and Su Chen run amok in the marketing department?" Liu Dagang fumed.

Director Liu pondered for a moment. "Don't worry about Zhang Heng; he's just a long-time employee with no real clout. But Su Chen..." A sinister gleam flickered in his eyes, his voice quivering with malice. He despised Su Chen just as much, if not more, his displeasure written all over his face.

Yet, Director Liu was no fool. His position as head of the marketing department spoke volumes about his intelligence and influence. His cunning and caution in his dealings were matched only by his underhandedness—a true schemer whose craftiness was unparalleled.

After a moment's reflection, he motioned to Liu Dagang. "Come closer," he instructed in a low tone.

Liu Dagang paused, taken aback.

He was in a state of utter disbelief.

Director Liu leaned in and whispered a few words to Liu Dagang, sparking an immediate glint of realization in his eyes.

"Are you referring to Lin Shaodong?"

Liu Dagang asked, his voice tinged with excitement.

Lin Shaodong served as the company's security captain and was one of Director Liu's most trusted confidants.

With his role as the head of security for the entire company, Lin Shaodong's capabilities were formidable. He had trained in classical combat techniques and mastered various other moves.

In fact, Lin Shaodong's prowess could very well match that of Liu Dagang.

Moreover, Lin Shaodong held Director Liu in high regard, to the extent that he was considered one of his most loyal lieutenants.

"So, big brother, you're suggesting we have Lin Shaodong take care of Su Chen? But Su Chen is currently the chairman's trusted man. How could Lin Shaodong possibly confront him?" Liu Dagang questioned, his face a portrait of incredulity.

The idea alone was staggering to him.

Upon hearing this, Director Liu gave Liu Dagang a sharp smack on the head.

"You're such an idiot. Lin Shaodong is the security captain, in charge of the company's entire security. If something were stolen, wouldn't that fall under Lin Shaodong's jurisdiction?" Director Liu pointed out.

With that statement, Liu Dagang finally had his moment of clarity. Deep down, he was a cunning individual and now fully grasped what needed to be done.

"The night has fallen. Carry out the plan tonight, and by tomorrow morning, we'll leave Su Chen without a leg to stand on! Then Lin Shaodong can step in and expel him from the company, and it won't be traced back to us. Once Su Chen is out of the picture, Zhang Heng will be at our mercy!" Director Liu said, his eyes gleaming with malice.

Murderous intent had taken root in his mind.

He had realized that Zhang Heng lacked genuine skill and that the truly formidable one was the intern, Su Chen.

Despite being just an intern, Su Chen had managed to create an incredibly powerful piece of art, a feat that was nothing short of miraculous.

Director Liu had meticulously crafted his scheme, and with a bit of incrimination, he could utterly destroy Su Chen's reputation.

"Su Chen, you insignificant worm, you dare to challenge me? Now, I'll show you just how formidable I am!" Director Liu said, his fists clenched in resolve.

A flicker of fire passed through his eyes.

Director Liu's face was contorted with displeasure.

Liu Dagang, having witnessed Director Liu's discomfiture, left the room feeling quite content, their scheme nearly ready to hatch.

It was quitting time, and Su Chen was packing up to head home when Zhang Heng tapped him on the shoulder from behind.

"Su Chen, the master's inviting you out for a drink tonight!" Zhang Heng announced, his cheeks rosy with excitement.

Zhang Heng was deeply appreciative of Su Chen.

Su Chen, however, looked visibly uncomfortable. He genuinely wanted to spend time with his master, but circumstances wouldn't allow it.

The Tang sisters would be livid if they found out Su Chen had gone out for drinks. The last thing he wanted was to upset them.

That would certainly not bode well for him.

"Master, I must excuse myself now. See you tomorrow!" With that, Su Chen dashed off.

Watching Su Chen's retreating figure, Zhang Heng couldn't suppress a chuckle.

"That guy!"

Zhang Heng let out a wry laugh.

In the blink of an eye, Su Chen was sprinting out of the company, quickly locating his car tucked away in a corner.

He jumped in, fired up the engine, and sped away from the office, soon arriving back at the Tang family residence.

But upon his return, the Tang sisters were nowhere to be seen; only Aunt Lee was there to greet him.

"Young Master, you've returned?"

Aunt Lee inquired with respect.

Su Chen offered a slight smile.

"Where are my sisters?" he asked, puzzled.

Aunt Lee answered, a touch bewildered, "The Second and Third Miss are tied up with company business. They're swamped with work and likely won't be back until late."

"But they did instruct me to prepare a meal for you," Aunt Lee added.

"Uh, okay then."

Su Chen couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret.

Had he known his sisters wouldn't be back so soon, he wouldn't have turned down Zhang Heng's offer.

But what's done was done, and there was no going back now.

After dinner, he retreated to his room to reflect on the day's events. Su Chen was certain of one thing: Director Liu and Liu Dagang were not the types to let things lie.

These two characters were surely plotting something against him.

Yet, Su Chen remained unconcerned...
