C7 Banquet!

Standing before the grandeur of the Victorious Return Building, Su Chen craned his neck to take in its majestic presence, feeling a wave of awe wash over him. This was a place he had only ever encountered online, never in person.

The Victorious Return Building was more than just a five-star hotel; dining here could cost a small fortune, easily running into the hundreds of thousands of yuan—a price point far beyond the reach of the old Su Chen.

Now, he stood at the foot of this architectural marvel alongside his two sisters, Tang Ziye and Tang Zilu. The Chamber of Commerce Gathering they were attending was set to take place here. Both sisters had slipped into their evening gowns, their already remarkable poise elevated to the level of absolute goddesses in their elegant attire.

As for Su Chen, he was clad in simple sportswear, yet the air about him was undeniable. The Marrow Changing Pill had worked wonders, elevating his aura to new heights—a flawless enhancement.

Together, the trio was the epitome of elegance and charm, eliciting envy from onlookers. "It looks like our little brother really can hold his own!" the sisters remarked, clearly pleased. Su Chen's transformed demeanor had taken them by surprise.

"Shall we head in, brother?" With one sister on each arm, they escorted Su Chen into the building.

At the entrance, stoic bodyguards stood watch. Upon spotting Su Chen and his companions, they moved to intercept. Tang Ziye offered a smile and presented the invitation letter. Recognition and respect dawned on the bodyguard's face.

"Please, come in," he said, ushering the trio into the building.

They stepped into the bustling hall, already teeming with guests. The attendees were a showcase of finery—men in sharp suits and women in glamorous, low-cut gowns—all mingling with glasses in hand.

The banquet was set up buffet-style, transforming the entire ground floor into a grand dining space befitting the business-centric nature of the gathering.

The chatter among the crowd was almost entirely focused on business matters.

Su Chen found the scene quite fascinating.

But as the trio made their way to the center of the venue, they became the center of attention—hardly surprising, given the Tang sisters' goddess-like status.

Yet, it was Su Chen who shone even brighter than the Tang sisters.

While everyone else at the banquet sported suits and leather shoes, Su Chen stood out in his casual attire—a pair of jeans that had faded to white and a simple T-shirt, paired with unremarkable, locally-made sneakers.

Despite his simple outfit, he effortlessly outshone the other men in terms of presence.

These were the business elite: some were geniuses in their trades, others, masters of investment, and many were bosses with their own empires.

Their identities varied, but each was a formidable force in their own right.

However, the arrival of this striking pair—a handsome man alongside beautiful women—sent ripples of shock through the crowd, with Su Chen's presence drawing a wave of murmurs and disapproval.

"Who is this guy?"

The question rippled through the crowd.

They were clueless about Su Chen's identity, their faces etched with surprise. Since they didn't recognize Su Chen, their curiosity was piqued.

In the business circles, the Tang sisters were known as the ultimate goddesses, the object of many a man's fantasy and flirtation. But the Tang sisters were more than just pretty faces; they were at the pinnacle in terms of investment acumen, business prowess, and of course, beauty.

The men who aspired to court the Tang sisters felt woefully inadequate in comparison.

To their astonishment, there was a man accompanying the Tang sisters, which painted their faces with envy and resentment.

The crowd began to close in.

Su Chen found himself the target of unwarranted hostility.

"Really?"

He was at a loss for words.

Was it simply because he was too exceptional?

That was the only conclusion Su Chen could draw in his mind, knowing all too well that those who stand out often become targets.

Just then, a middle-aged businessman approached, wine glass in hand, his eyes crinkling with a sly smile and a sharp glint.

"Ladies, and who might this gentleman be?"

He inquired, his voice carrying an undertone of malice.

His arrival sparked a fresh wave of speculation among the onlookers.

Xu Mingliang was a prominent investment expert in the city's business sector, renowned for his acumen as a top-tier venture capitalist. Having invested in numerous projects, he had amassed considerable wealth and was regarded as one of the elite businessmen in the city.

At 32, Xu Mingliang was still a bachelor, earning him the moniker of "the city's most eligible bachelor." It was common knowledge that he had been relentlessly courting Tang Ziye, the Third Miss of the Tang family. Despite his efforts, Tang Ziye had consistently dismissed his advances. Xu had planned to seize the opportunity at the business gathering to declare his feelings once more, but to his dismay, he discovered another man by Tang Ziye's side.

Xu Mingliang was, understandably, displeased.

Tang Ziye herself was not pleased to see Xu Mingliang, whom she found utterly repugnant, yet he persisted in his pursuit. She was clearly uncomfortable.

"Boss Xu, this is our sister's brother, Su Chen," Tang Ziye introduced, hoping to clarify the situation.

The crowd had an "aha" moment.

They had mistakenly assumed Su Chen was dating one of the Tang sisters, only to learn he was their brother, which immediately softened their perception of him.

Some of the women present were intrigued. Su Chen, despite his simple attire, exuded a charisma that did not go unnoticed. They lavished him with compliments, admiring his good looks and charm.

"These women were saying, "Isn't this handsome fellow the Tang family's younger brother? He's incredibly attractive!"

"I'd love to win over this brother..."

The women chattered excitedly among themselves.

Xu Mingliang's expression, however, remained sour.

Brother? He was skeptical.

He had never heard of the Tang sisters having a brother, and with Su Chen and Tang Ziye having different surnames, the brother-sister story didn't add up to him. A disturbing suspicion crept into Xu Mingliang's mind.

"Could this guy be a secret kept by the Third Miss of the Tang family?" he wondered, growing more irate by the second, his complexion turning ashen.

Xu Mingliang was deeply frustrated. Despite his persistent pursuit of Tang Ziye, he had never been close to winning her affection. Now, with her continued indifference, Xu Mingliang's patience was wearing thin.

His loathing for Su Chen surged to an unbearable peak in an instant.

"Brother? This young man..."
