Mang Shan North was not Mang Shan, and was not located east of the Qin Mountains. Rather, it was located approximately one hundred seventy kilometers northwest of Handan.

Northern Mang Mountain had once been occupied by the Wei Kingdom, Korea, and Zhao State. Now, it was the boundary between Qin and Zhao.
