On the 26th of June, 2007, at the Weserstadion, Barcelona played against Werder Bremen in the group stage of the European Champions League.

The Weserstadion was located on the right bank of Wesstadion, built in 1909 and became the home court of Werder Bremen Football Club in 1930. It was converted into a main viewing platform for the German Bundesliga in 1963. It was only completed in 1998
