C4 Open the Elixir Field

Nimbus Palace was the smallest palace within the royal complex. Due to Chu Feng's circumstances and Su Yun's lack of favor, aside from them, there was only one maid named Lingling residing in Nimbus Palace.

"That's wonderful! I just knew Your Highness would definitely be able to awaken the All-Seeing Eye and become a warrior... Oh, I'm so moved..."

In Nimbus Palace, a pretty young woman clad in a maid's attire had tears streaming down her face as she excitedly gazed at Chu Feng.

"Silly Lingling, why the tears?"

Chu Feng, seeing the tears continuously falling from Lingling's eyes, was clearly baffled.

One would think that his success in awakening the All-Seeing Eye and becoming a warrior would be cause for celebration. Yet here was Lingling, weeping.

"Your Highness, Lingling is just so happy, truly... happy. You've struggled for so long without being able to awaken the All-Seeing Eye, and both Your Highness and the Queen have endured so much hardship. Now that you've awakened the All-Seeing Eye, the Queen will no longer have to suffer indignities..."

Lingling spoke while tenderly holding onto Su Yun's arm.

"Don't worry, from now on, I won't let either of you face any hardships..."

Listening to Lingling's words, a pang of sorrow struck Chu Feng. If it hadn't been for his own shortcomings, his mother, Su Yun, wouldn't have aged so prematurely.

"Lingling, you and Mother should head back. I'm going to consume this bottle of Meridian Surge Elixir and work on breaking through my meridians."

After giving instructions to Lingling, Chu Feng exchanged a few words with Su Yun, then headed to his room.

Back in his room, Chu Feng sat down cross-legged on the floor. He carefully took out the bottle of Meridian Surge Elixir, opened it, and sniffed to make sure it was fine before downing it in one go.

The elixir was refreshingly cool as it slid down his throat, but as soon as it reached his stomach, Chu Feng felt an intense heat radiating throughout his body, as if a fiery orb had ignited within him.

"Now is the time!"

With a powerful shout, Chu Feng focused and directed a portion of the Meridian Surge Elixir towards one of his meridians.

"Ha!"

Chu Feng exerted his full strength, and the Meridian Surge Elixir surged toward the yet-to-be-opened meridians, violently colliding with them.

"Hiss~"

Simultaneously, a wave of intense pain caused Chu Feng to sharply inhale. To open the meridians, one must continuously strike them with the Meridian Surge Elixir until they fully open.

Perhaps because his current body was weaker, Chu Feng felt that the pain from the Meridian Surge Elixir was far more intense than in his previous life.

If the first attempt failed, Chu Feng would muster his strength once more, directing the Meridian Surge Elixir toward his meridians, relentlessly hammering away at them.

With his fists clenched and teeth gritted, Chu Feng persevered through multiple attempts.

Typically, a warrior's first time opening meridians would be under the guidance of a senior. However, Chu Feng, having been a Stardust Glimmer warrior in his past life, required no such guidance.

"Boom!"

With a resounding noise in his mind, Chu Feng successfully opened the first meridian. A warm surge of power flowed through his body, the sensation of the meridians being unblocked.

"Again!"

Motivated by the breakthrough, Chu Feng pressed on with determination to open the second meridian.

Five hours later.

"Did a bottle of Meridian Surge Elixir only open up five meridians?"

Chu Feng pondered aloud, assessing his body.

After Chu Feng's repeated efforts, he finally broke through five meridians, but in the process, he had exhausted his entire bottle of Meridian Surge Elixir.

For an average warrior, it would be unthinkable to open five meridians with just one bottle; three would be the maximum. But Chu Feng, with his experience from his previous life and the guidance from his master, a top-tier expert, knew how to optimize the use of the Meridian Surge Elixir, enabling him to achieve this feat.

Having opened five meridians, Chu Feng successfully established his own elixir field, albeit a modest one—merely the size of an egg.

"I need more Meridian Surge Elixir, and if I could get my hands on some Essence Pills to boost my strength, that would be fantastic," Chu Feng mused, feeling the gradual changes in his body.

Chu Feng was aware, however, that the last bottle of Meridian Surge Elixir had been a gift from his mother, Su Yun, and without any gold coins to his name, he was at a loss as to how he would acquire more.

"Gold coins... How can I obtain them?"

"At the moment, all I possess are the memories of my past life. Besides that... skills!"

"That's it! I can sell a skill!"

Excitement washed over Chu Feng's face. The lack of gold coins to purchase Meridian Surge Elixir was a problem, but in his previous life as a Stardust Glimmer, any skill he possessed could cause a sensation in the modest realm of the Edora Kingdom.

With this in mind, Chu Feng set to work immediately. A skill consisted of two main components: the chant and the movements.

The skill Chu Feng intended to document was the Tempest's Blade, a medium-grade Eternal Green skill. The chant was relatively straightforward, and he quickly finished writing it down.

The movements were the crucial part, requiring the Shadow Power to inscribe. Movements etched with Shadow Power appeared vivid and were easier to master.

In his past life, Chu Feng was a Stardust Glimmer expert, and an Eternal Green skill was well within his capabilities. Yet, with his current level of Shadow Power, he could only manage to inscribe movements that were somewhat similar; a perfect skill required an uncanny likeness.

Despite the challenges, Chu Feng persevered, practicing each movement after inscribing it. Thankfully, the Sutra of Enlightenment, taught to him by his master, wasn't particularly effective in other areas, but it excelled in restoring Shadow Power.

"This should suffice."

After half a day, Chu Feng, holding his handwritten copy of the Tempest's Blade, nodded in satisfaction and made his way to the Ralens Black Market in Aerilon.

The Edora Kingdom officially prohibited black markets, but necessity breeds supply, and the black market thrived. Even many royal family members had ties to the Ralens Black Market, so the kingdom turned a blind eye to its existence.

Upon entering the Ralens Black Market, Chu Feng found a discreet spot to don the black robe he had prepared beforehand. With that, he made his way to the largest skill trading pavilion in the market.

"May I help you with purchasing or selling a skill, sir?"

Chu Feng's unique attire caught the attention of a waiter who promptly approached him as soon as he stepped through the door.

"Fetch your manager. I need to speak with him," Chu Feng commanded, deliberately deepening his voice as he addressed the waiter.

"Just a moment, please, Master," the waiter replied, momentarily taken aback before hurrying off toward the back of the establishment.

The waiter knew well that those who dressed as Chu Feng did were often not to be trifled with, likely possessing remarkable abilities.

Shortly thereafter, the waiter returned with a man in his fifties who appeared momentarily startled by Chu Feng's appearance. However, upon noticing Chu Feng's Golden Cloud Patterned Shoes, the man's expression grew serious, and he quickly approached.

"My Lord, what may I assist you with today?" asked the middle-aged man, his demeanor one of utmost respect.

"I have an Eternal Green skill to sell. What's its value?" Chu Feng inquired in a low tone, handing over the Tempest's Blade manuscript to the man.

"A skill of the Eternal Green!" the man exclaimed in awe after a brief inspection. "How much are you asking for it, my Lord?"

"Fifty thousand gold coins," Chu Feng stated calmly.

"Agreed," the man responded without hesitation.

"Here are your sixty thousand gold coins, sir. Please count them," the man said after a short while, presenting twelve gold notes to Chu Feng. Chu Feng, noticing the extra ten thousand gold coins, chose not to comment and simply turned to leave.

"Shopkeeper, wasn't the agreed price fifty thousand gold coins? Why did you give him sixty thousand?" the waiter inquired with a curious expression once Chu Feng was out of earshot.

"The Golden Cloud Patterned Shoes are exclusive to members of the royal family. Moreover, the skill was clearly a recent transcription, a feat only someone of the Dream-Seeking Realm could achieve. With such a background, it's only right that we show our respect," the shopkeeper explained.

The man squinted his eyes and spoke slowly, "A member of the royal family? Who could it be that would betray a skill?"

The waiter looked on with curiosity. "I don't understand either," the man replied, shaking his head slowly.

"Should I send someone to look into it?" the waiter asked.

"Absolutely not! If the Dream-Seeking Realm experts behind him were to discover us, we'd all be doomed. You must realize, these are Dream-Seeking Realm experts we're talking about!" the man hastily interjected.

In the Edora Kingdom, warriors progress through the Initial Transcendent, Mystic Ascension, Eternal Green, World-Illuminating, and finally reach the Dream-Seeking Realm. It's fair to say that in the Edora Kingdom, Dream-Seeking Realm experts are few and far between, each one a formidable force to be reckoned with. Such individuals are typically left unchallenged.

After acquiring the gold coins, Chu Feng used his earnings to purchase ten bottles of Meridian Surge Elixir and a hundred Essence Pills before making his way back home.
