C15 Become Famous in One Battle!

"Your alpaca might be a bit odd, but it's not going to change the inevitable defeat. Why bother making a spectacle of yourself?" Huang Tianyi, initially taken aback by the grass mud horse's formidable build, soon smirked in triumph as his Golden Stone Tiger overpowered it, speaking with an air of condescension.

In the corner, Han Feng's brow furrowed. He hadn't anticipated the Golden Stone Tiger's strength; even the grass mud horse, enhanced by Ironbone Grass, couldn't overpower it. "This isn't looking good."

The grass mud horse was starting to falter in its clash with the Golden Stone Tiger. If the tide didn't turn, defeat was imminent. Han Feng was determined to move up to C class today—failure was not an option.

"Grass mud horse, return!" The creature had taken a beating; its fur was in disarray, and a bloody mark marred its unprotected forehead.

"Drown them in water!" With the grass mud horse back, Han Feng swiftly executed the next phase of his strategy. Close-quarters combat wasn't the grass mud horse's strong suit. Han Feng had only wanted to test the limits of its Ironbone Grass-enhanced body.

Now with a clear strategy, it was time to leverage his strengths. The grass mud horse, aggrieved by the Golden Stone Tiger's assault, unleashed three robust jets of water from its mouth.

The Golden Stone Tiger, seizing the opportunity to chase down its fleeing opponent, was instead met with the grass mud horse's icy blasts. Huang Tianyi, with his well-earned reputation in the D class, was no slouch. He'd already maneuvered the Golden Stone Tiger to meet the aquatic onslaught with its armored flank, even as it closed in on the grass mud horse under the force of inertia.

Bolstered by the enhancement, the already tough Golden Stone Tiger seemed impervious. The water jets clinked harmlessly off its hide.

"So powerful!" Han Feng watched, his usually unbeatable grass mud horse's attack fail to make an impact, and he couldn't help but marvel at the Golden Stone Tiger's resilience. Seeing his own grass mud horse outmatched, even after its transformation, brought a wave of frustration.

Caught in a moment of distraction, Han Feng realized the Golden Stone Tiger was upon them. "Golden Stone Claw!" The beast's front paws, already sharp, now gleamed with a ghostly white sheen, exuding a bone-chilling presence. Clearly, Huang Tianyi was done playing games.

Sensing the looming threat, Han Feng swore, "Damn it!" and quickly rolled out of harm's way. "Use the Body Locking Light, now!"

The grass mud horse was quick to react. As the Golden Stone Tiger launched its attack, the small pouch on its head glowed brightly. A beam of white light struck the Golden Stone Tiger, and the fearsome creature was suddenly immobilized. Seizing the moment, the grass mud horse deftly sidestepped to safety.

The Golden Stone Tiger, propelled by sheer inertia, slammed into the arena, leaving two deep gashes in the marble floor. Han Feng shuddered at the sight of those claw marks etched into the stone. If such force were to strike his flesh and blood, would it not rip his very intestines out?

The ghastly image of his entrails spilling forth ignited a fiery rage within him. "You may be young, but your malice runs deep! Do you mistake me for a sickly cat when I've yet to bare my claws?"

"Grass mud horse, unleash the High-pressure Rasengan and finish it off!" In his fury, Han Feng commanded without regard for the consequences.

The might of the High-pressure Rasengan was indisputable. Though the Golden Stone Tiger boasted a slightly sturdier defense than the Human-face Lizard, the difference in their levels suggested it wouldn't be significant. A direct hit would mean certain death or severe injury!

Trapped by the immobilizing Body Locking Light, the Golden Stone Tiger was a sitting duck for the incoming High-pressure Rasengan. But just as the attack was about to land, the beast was yanked from the arena, avoiding the hit. The High-pressure Rasengan exploded against the marble, sending shards flying in a spectacular burst.

Huang Tianyi's face twisted with displeasure. His Golden Stone Tiger had managed only to scratch the marble, yet this unassuming alpaca had blown it to bits. The disparity in their power was now starkly apparent.

"He can teleport?" Han Feng fumed, incredulous that his surefire strike had missed.

The Golden Stone Tiger, still paralyzed, should have been unable to escape. Its narrow evasion could only be the work of the referee's timely intervention. These referees, all mentors and seasoned Beastmasters, not only had powerful spiritual pets but also honed their own combat skills. The one who had saved the Golden Stone Tiger had done so with a whip and his own brute strength, effortlessly tossing the hefty creature aside.

"Kid, it's just an assessment. Why the lethal intent?" The referee chided Han Feng, who had nearly killed Huang Tianyi's spiritual pet with his unchecked aggression.

Embarrassed, Han Feng scratched his head. "I was just trying to win. I didn't mean to go that far."

"You've won," the referee declared.

Huang Tianyi's face soured. He knew his Golden Stone Tiger would not have survived the grass mud horse's attack, but his pride wouldn't allow him to accept defeat.

"Master! I haven't lost yet!"

"Enough! If I hadn't acted quickly, your spiritual pet would be nothing but a smear on the floor. Step down!"

Recognizing Huang Tianyi as a D-class prodigy, the referee understood his frustration but remained firm. A loss was a loss, and there was no room for underhanded tactics in such a public setting.

"Still feeling cocky, kid? You could learn a thing or two from me about humility," Han Feng taunted, his words stinging Huang Tianyi to the brink of tears.

"You sure have a lot to say!"

With a wave of his hand, the mentor unleashed a powerful force that sent Han Feng and his grass mud horse tumbling out of the ring.

Han Feng let out a sly chuckle, mounted the grass mud horse, and whistled a little tune as he made his way to his class's rest area.

"Han Feng! Don't get cocky. I'll beat you in the C class for sure!"

Huang Tianyi's voice, tinged with hysteria, echoed from behind.

Han Feng casually dismissed him with a wave and thought to himself, "I've got the system on my side. What's there to fear?"
