C6 He Had Never Seen Such a Handsome Grass Mud Horse.

The Human-face Lizard's strength was formidable indeed. Even the grass mud horse was at a loss against it, and Han Feng stood even less of a chance.

The life of a spiritual pet is bound to its owner's—should the owner perish, so would the pet. The Human-face Lizard's ambush on Han Feng was tantamount to attacking the grass mud horse, nearly costing Han Feng his life. Such an offense was intolerable.

The grass mud horse bristled, resembling a massive porcupine. Then, with a sudden burst, a fierce blue light shot from its open mouth.

"High-pressure Rasengan!"

A fist-sized orb of blue water rocketed from the grass mud horse's throat, piercing the Human-face Lizard's hide and burrowing deep into its flesh with bullet-like precision.

The Human-face Lizard let out a roar of agony, its limbs pounding the earth and kicking up a dense cloud of dust.

A moment later, a thunderous explosion erupted from the creature's body, reducing the once fearsome Human-face Lizard to a shower of flesh.

The grass mud horse's new skill, High-pressure Rasengan, drew upon the enemy's energy upon impact, transforming it before detonating. The internal devastation was immense, leaving the Human-face Lizard shattered beyond recognition.

"Holy smokes, that's powerful!"

Han Feng was dumbfounded by the sheer force of the High-pressure Rasengan. He had anticipated that the grass mud horse, upon leveling up, would overpower the Human-face Lizard, but he hadn't expected such overwhelming strength.

Yao Jie, who was no fan of Han Feng, felt a twinge of schadenfreude upon seeing another Human-face Lizard target him. The Zhou sisters, though concerned for Han Feng, knew the Human-face Lizard was a formidable adversary beyond their capabilities.

As the explosive noise echoed from behind, all three, along with the attacking Human-face Lizard, hesitated, turning to see what had befallen Han Feng.

What they witnessed left them in disbelief.

The once ferocious Human-face Lizard had been obliterated into a cloud of gore. Amidst their stunned stares, Han Feng straightened his disheveled attire and hair, catching his breath as he emerged from behind a tree to join the grass mud horse. Striking what he believed to be a suave pose, he quipped, "What's the matter? Haven't you ever seen a handsome guy with his adorable spiritual pet?"

Truth be told, the grass mud horse was scorched black, with much of its fur singed into clumps of char. It was far from ugly, yet hardly the picture of cuteness.

"Ji ji!"

The surviving Human-face Lizard, upon witnessing its ally's gruesome demise, emitted a piercing shriek. It glowed with an intense red light as inky black liquid oozed from its claws, sizzling as it hit the earth and corroded it into large, bowl-shaped holes.

Devoid of its companion, the Human-face Lizard's limited intelligence was now consumed by hatred. Driven by pure instinct, it unleashed a frenzied assault, its speed and strength surging as it attacked Yao Jie and the Zhou sisters with relentless fury.

Already hard-pressed against the Human-face Lizard, the trio now faced an even grimmer challenge against this mindless, berserk combatant. Yao Jie, the strongest among them, bore the brunt of the frenetic creature's wrath.

Yao Jie quickly found himself battered and bruised under the relentless assault of the Human-face Lizard. His eyes caught Han Feng preening by the waterhole created by the grass mud horse, and rage ignited within him.

"Han Feng! What are you doing? Get over here and help!"

Han Feng ignored Yao Jie's plea, continuing to primp his already immaculate hair with an air of indifference.

Han Feng was all too aware of Yao Jie's character. Had it not been for the grass mud horse's timely evolution and subsequent defeat of the Human-face Lizard, he had no doubt Yao Jie would have deserted him and fled with the Zhou sisters in tow.

Han Feng was no saint; he had no intention of lending a hand to someone like Yao Jie.

"Han Feng!"

As the battle wore on, Yao Jie's wounds multiplied, and his resentment towards Han Feng intensified, holding him responsible for his plight.

"Han Feng, please help us! We're not going to last much longer!" The Zhou sisters, long-time acquaintances of Yao Jie and veterans in hunting Demonic Beasts, knew their survival chances would plummet without Yao Jie. In desperation, they called out to Han Feng for assistance.

It was only upon hearing the sisters' plea that Han Feng looked up, his gaze lingering appreciatively on their curvaceous figures before contentedly slapping the grass mud horse's behind. "You're up!"

The grass mud horse, still sulking over its reflection in the pond, sulked at Han Feng's command.

Han Feng, feeling his pride as a Beastmaster wounded by the grass mud horse's indifference, lifted his leg to kick it.

But as he did, the grass mud horse leapt back and launched a counterattack, sending Han Feng flying with a swift kick.

The grass mud horse had held back; otherwise, Han Feng's slight frame would have been grounded for a good while.

"A spiritual pet dares to strike its master? The nerve of you!" Han Feng seethed with rage. He whipped out a slingshot from his sleeve and, picking up a pebble, took aim at the grass mud horse's hind legs.

"Whoosh!"

The stone soared, executing a perfect "egg-cracking" hit.

The grass mud horse winced in pain and glared at Han Feng furiously.

As its master, Han Feng was off-limits for the grass mud horse's abilities; otherwise, not even ten Han Fengs could stand against it.

After an internal struggle, the grass mud horse begrudgingly submitted to Han Feng's domineering will. It redirected its towering rage towards the mutated Human-face Lizard.

With a furious bellow, the grass mud horse unleashed a High-pressure Rasengan.

Sensing the formidable power of the grass mud horse's attack, Yao Jie and the Zhou sisters quickly retreated from the fray.

The High-pressure Rasengan struck the rampaging Human-face Lizard, and in an instant, it met the same fate as its fallen comrade, disintegrating into a cloud of gore.
