C6 The First Business Deal Su Ruoxue!

"You've got spunk, young man. With that kind of assurance, you've put my mind at ease!" The elder patted Faang Yu on the shoulder with a warm smile, then turned to the icy woman beside him and said, "Ruoxue."

The woman, Ruoxue, nodded in understanding and produced a list, handing it to Faang Yu. "Here's what we need. Can you supply all of it?"

Faang Yu scanned the list, noting the essentials for furnishing a home: pots, pans, brooms, dustpans, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, nightstands, wooden wardrobes, bedding sets, tea sets, tea tables, and traditional Chinese living room furniture.

The Chinese-style living room set caught Faang Yu off guard, prompting him to ask the elder, "Sir, don't you prefer sofas?"

These days, few opted for traditional Chinese furniture; most had switched to sofas, leaving wooden chairs a rarity.

The old man chuckled. "It's what I'm accustomed to."

Faang Yu nodded. Older generations often clung to tradition, while many young people chased foreign trends, a bittersweet reality.

"All these items are manageable, but they're not exactly cheap. The total comes to about two hundred and fifty thousand. However, as our store's first customers, you'll get a discount. Let's round it down to two hundred thousand." Faang Yu had checked the System Shop; all the items were available for purchase. In total, they cost over two hundred thousand Void Spirit Coins, equivalent to twenty thousand Huaxia Currency. Yet, the selling price would surely exceed that.

The elder looked at Faang Yu, puzzled. "Young man, you won't make much profit this way." Indeed, the furniture he was purchasing had a decent markup, but not exorbitantly so. After accounting for material and labor costs, Faang Yu stood to earn a respectable ten to twenty thousand yuan. Yet, here he was, offering a five-thousand-yuan discount right off the bat.

"I've already mentioned that the elder gentleman is one of our first customers, and with the auspicious occasion of his housewarming, consider this modest sum a token of my goodwill. Please accept my early congratulations on your new home!" Faang Yu said cheerfully. He was actually a bit sheepish about his substantial earnings.

The furniture's total value, if converted to Huaxia Currency, was merely around twenty-five thousand yuan. Charging someone two hundred thousand was already a hefty profit. A slight discount could leave a positive impression—why not seize the opportunity?

In business, it's all about building connections. The more friends you have, the broader your network, and the quicker the profits roll in.

Truth be told, even selling the furniture for a million yuan wouldn't be out of line, considering the faint whiff of immortal spirit energy it contained. That alone rendered it invaluable.

The old man gave Faang Yu a knowing look and a soft smile, nodding his approval. "With such generosity, I can't afford to be tight-fisted!" he declared.

He then addressed Su Ruoxue, "Ruoxue, settle the payment for the furniture. And while you're at it, hand Faang Yu a purple-gold invitation card."

"Grandfather, the purple-gold invitation card is..." Su Ruoxue gasped in surprise.

"Hmm?" The old man gave his granddaughter a penetrating gaze.

"Yes!" Not daring to go against her grandfather's wishes, Su Ruoxue retrieved a purple-gold plated invitation card from her Chanel bag and handed it to Faang Yu with an icy tone, "For you."

"Grandfather, this is..." Faang Yu wasn't put off by Su Ruoxue's demeanor. He examined the invitation card, which felt just like any other, save for the thin layer of purple-gold powder and the words 'invitation card' written in traditional script. A deep purple plum blossom adorned the bottom right corner, its significance a mystery to him.

"If you're available, why not join the housewarming celebration? It could prove beneficial for your business," the old man suggested with a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile.

Faang Yu's cheeks reddened slightly, embarrassed by the transparency of his intentions. He had offered the discount to make a good impression, but the old man had effortlessly seen through it and, just as quickly, presented him with a golden opportunity.

"Congratulations on your move, old man—I'll definitely be there!" Faang Yu, though young, had a thick skin and quickly composed himself. After all, the old man had offered him an opportunity, and there was no reason to decline. Success, after all, was in his own hands, wasn't it?

"As for the payment, we can settle up after the goods have been delivered," Faang Yu added as an afterthought.

The elder dismissed the concern with a nonchalant wave of his hand, "A mere 200,000 yuan is nothing to me. I'm not worried about it. Besides, I trust you won't take off with my money!"

"Thank you for your trust, sir!" Faang Yu couldn't help but admire the old man's audacity. To part with 200,000 yuan so casually was a bold move, but it also indicated that the old man wasn't concerned about Faang Yu fleeing. Or perhaps, he was confident that even if Faang Yu tried to flee, he wouldn't get far—an absolute confidence in his own judgment.

Once Su Ruoxue had completed the transfer, Faang Yu respectfully escorted the pair out of the Myriad Spirit General Store.

Back at the counter, Faang Yu topped up his account with 50,000 yuan of Huaxia Currency, which translated to an additional 500,000 Void Spirit Coins in the System Shop balance. Following Su Ruoxue's furniture list, he methodically made purchases in the System Shop, then proceeded to an open area behind the store to retrieve all the items.

The 60-square-meter store commanded a yearly rent of 50,000 yuan partly because of this open space. However, pressed for time, Faang Yu hadn't managed to construct a warehouse yet—a necessary facade for the items sourced from the System Shop.

Once everything was in order, Faang Yu received a notification that the System had upgraded successfully. The various items previously in the shop had cost him only a few thousand Void Spirit Coins, and the System had been stalled at Level 1. But with the recent purchase of furniture for Su Ruoxue and her grandson, his total spending had hit 210,000 Void Spirit Coins, just enough to satisfy the System's upgrade criteria and advance to Level 2, unlocking new purchasing privileges.

Around seven in the evening, several people arrived at the general store, among them Faang Yu recognized Su Ruoxue. The other two, men in their thirties clad in black suits, bore cold expressions.

"Mr. Faang, has the furniture arrived?" Su Ruoxue asked with her characteristic icy demeanor, prompting Faang Yu to seriously wonder if she was even capable of a smile.

"Yes, it's here. Follow me," Faang Yu said, leading the way with Su Ruoxue and two young men trailing close behind.

Behind the store, in an open area, all the items on Su Ruoxue's list were neatly arranged.

After meticulously checking each item against her list and verifying their presence, Su Ruoxue instructed the young men to start moving the furniture.

The task took roughly half an hour. As Su Ruoxue was preparing to leave, Faang Yu called out to her, "Hold on a second!"

"Is there something else?" Su Ruoxue turned to look at Faang Yu with a hint of curiosity.

"This is for you," Faang Yu said, tossing a white pill to her, roughly the size of a standard marble.

"What's this?" Su Ruoxue asked, taken aback.

With a smile, Faang Yu explained, "It's a Pill, designed to treat menstrual pain. It's perfect for you."

Caught off guard, Su Ruoxue's initial surprise quickly turned to a mix of embarrassment and anger, her eyes flashing with a dangerous glint.
