C2 Zhang Fann (part II)
"Fuck, what's so special about Lei Zhan? If it wasn't for his family, he would be nobody."
"Fann, don't let someone like him get the better of you. I believe in you and your abilities. I know that you will definitely become a warrior in the future, or even become more powerful."
"At the time, I want to see for myself whether Lei Zhan would have to audacity to tell you off again."
Hu Zhi, who had been right by Zhang Fann's side, was stunned by Lei Zhan's outburst. He couldn't help but exclaim this angrily upon seeing him leave.
"I'm fine. Zhi, let's just go."
In spite of Hu Zhi's apparent anger, Zhang Fann's face had no expression. He only spoke these few words before taking big strides, leaving Hu Zhi to quickly scurry after him.
"Ugh, alright then."
Upon seeing Zhang Fann's lack of reaction, Hu Zhi also felt helpless.
It had always been like this. Ever since young, Zhang Fann always had the same reaction, neither hurried nor impatient, as if nothing could strike down his heart. Even in unexpected situations, he always kept a neutral expression.
On the way home!
"Beep beep—beep beep—"
The street was filled with cars, and the jarring sound of a car honking could be heard.
Before they had even realized it, the world had already undergone an era of rapid development. Oil as the main energy in cars had become obsolete, as people shifted to using environmentally friendly electricity. In fact, many had started to use their own solar energy to power up their cars.
This was a pleasant change. The streets were no longer filled with the pungent odour of exhaust gas.
Coupled with the change in traffic, people no longer face issues like traffic jam.
"Zhi, there are only two months left before the college entrance exam. We'll have to be serious during these two months, even though your overall strength is already quite good. Don't worry. Even if you fail the exam, you will still be able to get a good security job in the future."
"However, if we get better results from the examinations, then we will have more choices."
Zhang Fann finally decided to speak up.
"That's right. After more than ten years of studying, our future would be decided upon by the college entrance exam."
Hearing Zhang Fann's words, Hu Zhi sighed.
"The college entrance test truly is a turning point in one's life. Its competition is very fierce."
"Yes." Zhang Fann could only nod in agreement.
Just like Hu Zhi, both of their families could be considered average. Even though he dreamed of becoming a powerful warrior, he knew that he could get a decent job even if his grades were unsatisfactory.
But, how could Zhang Fann settle for that!
Without amassing great strength, he knew that Lau Ruyan wouldn't have gotten along with him.
......
The vast universe was endless.
In the distant starry sky, countless light-years away from Earth, an enormous light blue planet existed. Its appearance was akin to that of Earth's, but it was over a trillion times larger.
An immense golden palace stood grandly in the northern part of said planet. The palace gave off a chilly aura that was cold enough to freeze the surrounding space. Even the sight of the palace alone was terrifying.
And smack in the middle of that grand palace, a gathering was occurring. There were only a few people, but their auras were powerful enough to envelop the entire space. They were engrossed in conversing with each other.
"Teacher, nowadays, all the powers in the universe are constantly searching for the Star Origin's location. Although our Divine Firmament Dao Sect has already obtained eleven Star Fragments, it's still nothing as compared to the total 999 fragments in existence."
"No one knows when the Star Origin Continent would ever reunite again."
"We've been stuck here for a long time. If we are unable to reunite with the Star Origin Continent, we will never be able to achieve any more breakthroughs."
Just then, a tall and sturdy man spoke up. The burly man had a frightening beast robe on, and a large axe was strapped to his back. Contrary to his appearance, his voice sounded weak and helpless when he spoke.
