C4 One Hundred Million Yuan.

Gao Chi had intended to wait until the pair had left before making his exit, but to his surprise, they struck up another conversation.

Glancing at the time, he felt a twinge of frustration. He was cutting it close and didn’t want to be late, so he cleared his throat softly and stepped out of the restroom.

He offered them an awkward yet courteous smile.

Ms. Jiaang and Murong Xiu were taken aback, completely caught off guard by his presence.

Initially embarrassed, Ms. Jiaang's discomfort quickly turned to scorn as she appraised Gao Chi's attire. "He's dressed in nothing but flea market finds and lurking in the restroom, probably hoping to scavenge some leftovers," she thought disdainfully.

"But he must have overheard my conversation with Xiu. What if he blabs about it everywhere..."

Xiu, on the other hand, hadn't given it much thought, assuming Gao Chi was just a hotel employee tidying up the restroom.

While Ms. Jiaang scrutinized Gao Chi, he was also taking in the sight of the two women.

Ms. Jiaang was a well-preserved middle-aged woman in her forties, still exuding a certain allure. Gao Chi, however, instantly recognized Murong Xiu, the starlet who had shot to fame over the past six months.

Sighing inwardly...

Feeling the awkward tension, Gao Chi settled into his seat and, in an attempt to be polite, picked up a piece of shrimp with his chopsticks and offered, "Would you care to join me?"

The offer only seemed to heighten Ms. Jiaang's disgust. As a top agent at Light Peak Entertainment, she was far from stooping to the level of eating someone else's leftovers. Seeing Gao Chi actually doing so made her feel nauseated, and even Murong Xiu found it repulsive.

Yet, her good nature prevented her from voicing any contempt.

"Ms. Jiaang, we should leave," Murong Xiu suggested, eager to get away.

With an eye roll directed at Gao Chi, Ms. Jiaang turned on her heel to depart with Murong Xiu.

Just then, a knock at the door echoed through the room.

The two women were thrown into a state of alarm. They were in the Bright Moon Grand Hotel, after all. Despite their status, being caught sneaking into a private suite on the 68th floor by hotel staff wouldn't be a scandal, but it certainly wouldn't look good.

Gao Chi suddenly spoke up, "Come in, please!"

The private room door was nudged open, and a middle-aged man in a suit stepped through, followed by a hotel attendant. Upon entering, they caught sight of Murong Xiu and Gao Chi, pausing briefly in surprise before quickly regaining their composure.

With a beaming smile, the middle-aged man reached out to Gao Chi with deference. "Mr. Gao, I have the pleasure of being the General Manager of the Bright Moon Grand Hotel, Zhang Wei!"

It turned out that once Gao Chi had splurged ten million to secure a five-star membership, the front desk clerk had promptly notified the hotel's general manager.

Bright Moon Grand Hotel had its fair share of members, but five-star members were a rarity, numbering fewer than five. Not just anyone could afford to casually drop ten million a year.

"Hello, Manager Zhang!" Gao Chi returned the smile and rose to shake hands with Zhang Wei.

The attendant stood by, offering a friendly smile to both Murong Xiu and Gao Chi.

Ms. Jiaang and her companion were taken aback. "What's happening here? Isn't this guy just a freeloader?"

"Could it be..."

They exchanged a glance and realization dawned on them. They had been wrong; he wasn't here to freeload. He had merely gone to the restroom, and they had intruded, causing him embarrassment.

"Mr. Gao, how was the meal to your liking?" inquired Zhang Wei with courtesy.

Gao Chi nodded contentedly. In his twenty-two years, he had never tasted anything so exquisite. There was nothing to fault!

"I'm considering dining here daily, starting tomorrow!" Gao Chi mused on the lavish lifestyle of the wealthy. Just as he finished speaking, he remembered the distance from his school to the hotel was quite far, a half-hour taxi ride away.

But after a moment of regret, he figured out a solution. If need be, he could simply buy a place nearby, especially since the scenic sea view villas of Jingzhou City were just a stone's throw away.

"Most welcome!" Manager Zhang eagerly agreed.

"Oh, and I need to get back to school, could you please settle my bill?" added Gao Chi.

The ten million he had paid was solely for the five-star membership annual fee and did not include his meal expenses.

The attendant promptly approached, pulling up the electronic menu, and said, "Mr. Gao, your total comes to 668,000 yuan. As a five-star member of our hotel, you're entitled to a 20% discount..."

Gao Chi cut her off mid-sentence, "No need for a discount, charge the full amount! And you know what? I'll be coming here daily from now on. Let's make things easier and put some money down in advance, so I don't have to bother with my card every time. It's such a hassle!"

"Absolutely, absolutely!" Zhang Wei chimed in with a grin.

"How much would you like to deposit, Mr. Gao?" the waiter inquired.

"Start with a hundred million! I'll top it up once it runs out," Gao Chi declared, eager to test out the points system, so he boldly chose to deposit a staggering hundred million.

He might have sounded nonchalant, but the four bystanders were completely astounded.

Just for a meal? Even if you spend six hundred thousand daily, that's barely over ten million in a month. A hundred million for meals?

That's how you lose friends!

"Is there a problem?" Gao Chi misunderstood their silence, thinking there was an issue.

Zhang Wei quickly reassured him, "No problem at all! At Bright Moon Grand Hotel, our creed is to provide excellent service to every guest. You're practically the boss now..."

Wait a minute...

A lightbulb went off in Gao Chi's head thanks to Zhang Wei's comment.

Exactly, how much can meals really cost?

Maybe I should just buy the hotel!

It's got to be worth at least a few billion, right?

With this thought, Gao Chi's face lit up with excitement, and he turned to Zhang Wei, "Speaking of which, Manager Zhang, I have a question. Is this hotel for sale?"

Uh-oh...

Zhang Wei's eyelids twitched. Did he get out of bed on the wrong side this morning?

What kind of financial giant did he just encounter, someone ready to buy an entire hotel just for convenience at mealtime?

"Well... I'm not sure..." Zhang Wei stammered, overwhelmed. He didn't question Gao Chi's ability to make the purchase; he was simply taken aback. It seemed entirely plausible that someone who could casually drop a hundred million on meals might buy a hotel just for kicks.

But he certainly wasn't the one to make that call; he was just an employee, after all.

"I'll need to check with the owner," he said.

Gao Chi understood that purchasing a hotel wasn't as simple as picking up a bottle of water at the supermarket, but he pressed, "Alright, but the faster, the better!"

With that, he pulled out his phone and began the payment process.

"Beep. Payment successful. The amount is 668,000 yuan..."

Upon hearing the confirmation of the transaction, Gao Chi scanned the code once more and declared, "Regardless of whether your boss decides to sell the hotel, I'm going to go ahead and deposit 100 million yuan!"

Shortly thereafter, the familiar chime of a completed payment rang out again: "Beep. Payment successful. The amount is 100 million yuan..."

The four individuals in the room were all struck by a sense of numbness at the sheer magnitude of the transactions.
