C17 A Trump Card

Lee Yueze stared at the man in green. There were three aces and one king in the four cards opposite to him. Although they weren't as powerful as his, it was still a pretty good deck!

"I'll add ten million."

"I'll double it!"

He paused. 10 million was all he had. If he lost everything, his father wouldn't be able to cover for him now!

But...he glanced at his cards one more time. With Bai Xiaoxuan standing behind him, there was no way he'd back out this time around. He needed to win.

Turning to the dealer, he snapped, "I want to loan out ten million from the casino. I'll have someone send over the money."

The dealer nodded as he waved someone over. Before long, a bunch of chips fell onto their table.

Lee Yueze smirked. Although the interest in loaning out from a casino like this one was extremely high, he still had plenty to gain. He would win against these men and take all the money for himself! Without another word, he revealed his trump card.

He had originally wanted to cheat Ye Chen, but it seemed that this foolish man was about to join in.

However, what soon welcomed him was the man's cool gaze.

"You're the first man who'd dare cheat in our Casino."

Without another word, the man revealed his own trump card. It was an A!

He had four aces and a king!

Lee Yueze felt as if all the air had been sucked out of him. Just as he was about to reach the peak of his excitement, he found himself being buried in the ground.

"Impossible!"

"You chea—"

However, the one who had smacked him wasn't the old man but rather the dealer. His eyes were bright with fury, and his lips curled in disgust.

"Watch your words, young man. Young Master Cheng Hongguag is the boss of the Golden Leaf Club. Why would he dare cheat to someone like you?"

The dealer plucked the ace from Lee Yueze's card and sneered. "There's a small space at the back of your card. While it was done very carefully, it still appears different from all the other cards in our casino."

"Wha—"

They all froze. Even the group of men and women who had begun watching them felt their legs go numb. If anyone were to be caught cheating, their hands would be broken and their fingers would be sliced off.

"Bo—" Lee Yueze felt himself being blown back. His two teeth were knocked out with a simple bow. However, he didn't dare have the courage to resist. "I didn't recognize you. Ple—it was an honest mistake. Please don't blame it on us."

"Oh, don't worry." Cheng Hongguang smiled and waved his hand. "I won't take this to heart."

Hearing this, everyone sighed in relief. What he didn't expect was to hear the next set of words.

"But I am a rule-follower. Put him down and break one of his hands!"

Lee Yueze's eyes widened in fear. He knelt on the ground as he gazed up at the middle-aged man. "Please spare me. I—I really didn't..."

However, the suited man didn't look like he was listening.

One of the old men standing behind him took a step forward. "Don't resist, young man," he whispered. "I only want just one of your hands. Move, and you might lose your life."

"Call my Dad! Call my—"

WHACK! Before he could finish, the old man twisted his wrist and pulled. The cracking noises echoed across the hallway and the young man kneeled in pain.

"Agh!"

Lee Yueze fell in pain.

Chen Feng and the others could only watch the bloody scene. While they wanted to help their friends, they were trembling in fear and dared not move. What if they could be next?

"If you can't pay back the money you lost, why don't you let her accompany me?"

Cheng Hongguang pointed at Xia Yuting.

That was the reason why he had let them in, in the first place.

Xia Yuting paled. "N—" she tried to say something as she retreated behind Ye Chen. However, she was cut off by the dealer.

"Oh come on now, little girl, it's just for one night—"

Bang!

Before anyone could register what had happened, the dealer was sent flying. He spat out a puddle of blood as he groaned in pain.

The three old men behind him clenched their fists. They blocked their boss wholeheartedly.

Every one of them watched. Who would dare hit someone in front of Young Master Cheng?

Cheng Hongguang's face darkened. He said coldly, "What do you mean by this?"

"It's simple." Ye Chen drank from the glass in his hand. "Whoever touches her will die."

"Die? This is the casino of the Cheng Family!" Cheng Hongguang roared in laughter. "That kid cheated and lost some money, but he still hasn't returned it. All I ask is for this pretty girl to accompany me for the night. I didn't even bother with you. Don't tell me you're testing my patience."

Xia Yuting felt herself trembling as she held onto Ye Chen's clothes.

Ye Chen, however, didn't stand out. "Xia Yuting's fate isn't for Lee Yueze to decide. His loss has nothing to do with her. Second of all..."

He raised his trump card for all to see.

"Who said that the winner of this round...was you?"
