C2 Brother You've Grown up
No sooner had he finished speaking than everyone simultaneously turned around!
The onlookers outside swiftly backed away like a receding tide, clearing a spacious path down the middle.
Four Bentleys were neatly parked at the roadside, with a limited edition Rolls Royce Phantom taking pride of place in the center!
Nine imposing men in suits stood in a line, their movements synchronized to perfection.
The figure drawing all eyes was a woman.
Her eyes were captivating, her face an ideal oval, her skin like porcelain, and her nose bridge high. Her hair casually tumbled over her shoulders.
She was clad in a form-fitting skirt, with white high heels that accentuated her statuesque frame.
Her legs, in particular, were strikingly attractive.
In the looks department, she was every bit Lin Zhiqing's equal.
Yet, her extraordinary aura of aloof beauty surpassed that of Lin Zhiqing.
Su Mang halted beside Zhang Chen and murmured coolly, "You're planning to take my brother away?"
Her words had barely faded when the nine suited men behind her stepped forward in unison, their formidable presence exploding with intimidation.
Zhang Chen's eyes bulged as he took in Su Mang with astonishment.
She seemed vaguely familiar, yet he didn't recognize her.
Considering his predicament, Zhang Chen held his tongue, hoping for a chance to slip away.
Guang Tou, feeling somewhat sheepish, feigned a tough exterior, "Miss, he hit our car and can't pay up. What's wrong with us taking him?"
Su Mang's eyebrows arched playfully as she whispered, "Smash their car for me."
At her command, several men in suits advanced in concert.
All eyes around them widened in shock.
The burly men displayed fury, yet they were powerless to intervene, stumbling backwards in retreat.
A heavy, resounding noise filled the air.
The nine suited men sprang into action, and in mere moments, the car was reduced to a bare frame.
Glass littered the ground, doors lay detached, leaving nothing but an empty husk.
Zhang Chen watched, his heart pounding with alarm.
He mourned the loss of the car, worth at least eight or nine hundred thousand yuan.
Soon after, the nine men in suits regrouped behind Su Mang.
The burly men's fists were clenched, their bodies shaking with barely contained rage.
Yet they held their tongues, knowing a Rolls Royce Phantom was a dream beyond their reach.
Guang Tou clenched his jaw and asked with palpable tension, "What's your name?"
Su Mang's sneer was cold. "You don't deserve to know my name."
Guang Tou's expression darkened. He glared at Zhang Chen and spat out angrily, "Fine. I'll let you off the hook today."
With a dismissive wave of his hand, he prepared to turn and walk away.
Zhang Chen's mouth twitched in disbelief. I didn't smash the car. Why is he glaring at me?
But as Guang Tou and his crew started to leave, Su Mang's icy voice cut through the air, "Who said you could go?"
Guang Tou stiffened, barely containing his rage. "What more do you want?"
"Kneel down and apologize," Su Mang commanded with an effortless calm.
Zhang Chen felt a knot form in his stomach and murmured quickly, "That's really not necessary..."
Su Mang gave him a tender look and a doting smile. "I've told you before, no one gets to bully you."
Zhang Chen was taken aback.
Her smile was captivating, but Guang Tou's seething anger was more than he could handle.
He looked away, sighing internally.
It dawned on him that this stunning woman had mistaken him for someone else.
The rage in Guang Tou's eyes was on the verge of erupting as he bellowed, "Don't push it! You think I'm scared of you?"
In a defiant display, Guang Tou ripped open his shirt, showcasing his muscles.
The four hulking men behind him were equally enraged, rummaging through the car's trunk to arm themselves with knives and baseball bats.
Their eyes glinted with a chilling intent to kill.
The tension was palpable.
Zhang Chen inwardly winced as the situation escalated.
Panic-stricken screams echoed from the crowd, and the mood plummeted to an icy chill.
Guang Tou, believing he had intimidated them, scoffed, "You expect me to kneel? Are you out of your mind?"
But before Zhang Chen could even respond, a crisp sound resonated around them.
Nine men in suits had suddenly drawn pistols.
The guns were aimed at the muscular men.
The crowd inhaled sharply in shock.
Even Zhang Chen was taken aback.
Guang Tou's voice halted in surprise.
The burly men behind him quickly discarded their weapons and threw their hands up in surrender.
The burly men's eyes widened in terror.
Su Mang's voice was icy as she whispered, "One last chance."
No sooner had she finished than the burly men dropped to their knees.
"We were wrong, little brother! Our understanding is limited; please show mercy and spare our unworthy lives!" Guang Tou pleaded, his voice quivering with fear.
Zhang Chen watched the scene unfold before him, his surprise evident.
Before he could utter a word, Su Mang softly added, "His name is Zhang Chen."
Guang Tou hastily corrected himself, "Brother Chen, we were wrong! Please, spare our unworthy lives!"
Zhang Chen, however, was bewildered.
How did she know his name? Did she actually know him?
After a pause, Su Mang spoke with a calm authority, "Get out of here."
Like men granted a massive reprieve, Guang Tou and the rest bolted away without a backward glance.
The men in suits backed away, and under Su Mang's icy stare, the onlookers dispersed.
Soon, only Zhang Chen and Su Mang remained on the platform.
Confusion still clouded Zhang Chen's eyes.
The frostiness on Su Mang's face melted away, replaced by a tender smile as she exclaimed, "Little brother, I've missed you so much!"
She opened her arms and lunged toward Zhang Chen.
Zhang Chen was utterly flabbergasted.
The sweet scent overwhelmed him, and the smile blooming on Su Mang's once chilly face brought a singular sensation.
It was as if spring had come, and with it, all its creatures...
No, it was like being bathed in the warmth of spring!
But in the next instant, Zhang Chen's realization dawned, and he quickly raised his hand to intervene.
"Wait, you've got the wrong person," he murmured, still lost.
Su Mang rolled her eyes, "Stinky brat, after all the times I've hugged you to sleep, you don't recognize me?"
Hugged him to sleep?
Zhang Chen's surprise deepened, but at the mention of 'Sister Su,' his astonishment grew.
In the next breath, his breathing quickened with excitement, "You're Third Senior Sister... Su Mang?"
Su Mang responded with a smile, her arms open wide, her eyes inviting.
Without another moment's hesitation, Zhang Chen embraced Su Mang tightly.
Zhang Chen's master had seven disciples in total, with Zhang Chen being the youngest. Above him were six senior sisters.
Yet, a decade ago, those six senior sisters were sent away by their master, who never disclosed their whereabouts to Zhang Chen.
Su Mang had been a beauty even in her childhood, but Zhang Chen was astounded by the incredible transformation she had undergone in the past ten years!
It's true what they say: girls change so much as they grow up!
Before Zhang Chen could further ponder this, Su Mang leaned in close, her breath as sweet as orchids, and whispered near his ear, "Little brother, it's been ten years since we last saw each other. Look how you've grown."
