C4 Trash Third Young Master
As Yang Rui was lost in his daydreams, the door burst open.
"Hmm?" He glanced up, momentarily confused by the sudden intrusion.
"Ah ~!" A piercing scream echoed, sending a shiver down Yang Rui's spine. What on earth was that?
"Thud!" The person spun around and dashed out, their voice trailing off, "Master! Madam! The Third Young Master is awake!"
"Uh ~ could I at least get a word in?" Yang Rui muttered to himself, frustrated. He tried to rise, but his body vehemently refused to cooperate. Resigned to lying in bed, he awaited the arrival of others. His focus had been on unraveling the system's intricacies, neglecting the fact that this body was not his own. He was well aware that transmigration came in two forms: one was akin to slipping into a new set of clothes, the other, a soul transmigration, which was far more vexing. Who could predict into whose body one's soul might be thrust? Or how that person had met their end?
Thankfully, the body's former occupant was also named Yang Rui, the third son of the Yang family from Chiba City, notorious for his debauchery and worthlessness. How had he died? Poisoned, of course, and his death was staged to look like a drunken drowning. The Yang family's madam, unable to accept her son's demise, had spared no expense in her attempt to bring him back. Yet, by some twist of fate, Yang Rui had transmigrated before the rescuer could arrive.
Inheriting the memories was effortless. The deceased Yang Rui's attributes were too insignificant to influence the new occupant. Without any struggle, he assumed all of Yang Rui's memories and identity. "From now on, you are me, and I am you. Your enemies will be mine to confront!" he whispered. Suddenly, he felt as if some invisible bonds had been shattered, and a sense of liberation washed over him. Was this what letting go of obsessions felt like?
"Crash ~!" The door flew open once more, and a beautiful woman burst in, "Rui! You're finally awake!"
Great, Yang Rui thought as he braced for impact. The woman enveloped him in an embrace, her bosom like a tidal wave, as she wept softly into his shoulder.
Yang Rui was utterly bewildered by the stunning woman. Alert! Someone's been knocked over by a ball! He was thrilled and overjoyed; it was like a windfall of happiness! However, he was struggling to breathe and felt like he was on the verge of suffocating. He certainly didn't want to be the first Traverser to die from being smothered by a chest!
When the beautiful woman noticed her beloved son flailing his arms and legs, she realized something was amiss and quickly released Yang Rui. He gasped for air, relieved. The world suddenly seemed so wonderful!
As her son continued to gaze at her in a daze, the beautiful woman chided, "What's the matter? Don't you recognize your own mother anymore?"
Yang Rui had no ulterior motives. He simply declared, "Miss Jiao, I want to learn martial arts!"
"You want to learn martial arts? Of course, there's no... What? Martial arts?!" The beautiful woman was taken aback. Her dear son had never shown the slightest interest in martial arts, having invested all his skill points in indulging in fine wines. Thankfully, he had inherited good genes and hadn't gone astray, growing up to be quite the handsome young man.
But that was beside the point. The key issue was that her youngest son finally wanted to learn martial arts. She had begged and pleaded in the past to no avail, but now he was eager to take up the practice on his own? It seemed he had been spurred into action. The Yang family had always been known for their martial prowess, and her son had been the odd one out. Yet, no one could fault him—he was, after all, the only male heir of the Yang family! She had resigned herself to the idea that Rui would lead a life of luxury and idleness, but now, spurred by some provocation, he was ready to train. This was indeed a cause for celebration!
"Excellent, excellent, excellent! Our Rui has finally come to his senses, hahaha!" Booming laughter echoed from outside, and in walked a man dressed as a scholar. It was none other than Yang Rui's father, the most formidable member of the Yang family—Yang Zhantian! A Rank 8 expert of the Profound Essence Stage in Chiba City! This was precisely why the former playboy had been able to swagger through the city unscathed. However, his recent poisoning and death had thrown Chiba City into turmoil, affecting many families who were too intimidated to voice their grievances. They simply couldn't compete with his might.
Yang Zhantian approached Yang Rui and gazed down at him intently. Yang Rui felt an overwhelming pressure on his soul, yet he remained composed. After all, he thought, I am Yang Rui, your son—believe it or not. With this mindset, Yang Rui showed no weakness. Yang Zhantian placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder and said, "Since you're determined to grow stronger, don't back down!"
Yang Zhantian's voice had a scholarly tone, but Yang Rui's response was even more decisive, "Back down? Not even death could make me falter!"
Yang Zhantian gave Yang Rui a surprised glance, then turned and walked away. He realized he didn't understand his son well enough to continue the conversation, so he left, enjoying the ensuing silence.
The elegant woman, however, had a different approach. She took a small jade bottle from a servant's tray and poured out a shimmering Returning Spring Pill, "Rui, this pill is gentle and will help restore your weakened body. Take it now."
"Alright." Yang Rui nodded and swallowed the pill in one gulp. The pill worked wonders, transforming into a refreshing energy that coursed through his body, healing him.
[Ding! Medium-level energy detected. Would you like to absorb it?]
"Hmm?" Yang Rui was puzzled—could a system be activated by taking medicine? Energy? Well, why not absorb it. "Yes!"
[Ding! 20 points of energy absorbed, converted into 20 Experience Points.]
[Ding! Level up to Level 1!]
A warm sensation spread throughout his body, erasing all negative states and filling him with vigor. He checked his attributes:
Name: Yang Rui
Level: 1
Experience: 10/50
Realm: None
Health: 225/225
Attack: 22.5/22.5

Spirit: 8/8
Status: Normal
Skills: Body Strengthening Lv1, Exuberant Energy Lv1, Comprehension Lv1

Wow! The attributes have increased a bit, which is excellent! But that Returning Spring Pill seems like it's no ordinary item. I should ask about it first.
"Miss Jiao, do you have any more Returning Spring Pills?" Yang Rui inquired, his eyes lighting up as he gazed at the small jade bottle in the hands of the beautiful woman.
The woman seemed unfazed and responded, "There's one left, but the Returning Spring Pill isn't easy to come by. I only managed to get these two at the auction. If you'd like it, please, take it!"
"Thank you, Miss Jiao!" Yang Rui's heart swelled with happiness. Fantastic! It looks like I might be able to level up again. If only I knew what a normal person's template data was like for comparison. For now, I'll have to explore on my own. But I must admit, it's quite the conundrum. I'm in the dark about this system and need to get a handle on it quickly, or I'm going to be in trouble.
