C5 The Danger Perception Was Activated. the Dog-blood Hero Saved a Real Beauty.
Soong Wan, who was nearby, witnessed the scene and let out a terrified scream.
"Ah! Be careful!"
In that moment, Jiang Hao's mind was suddenly pierced with sharp pain, prompting him to move instinctively. In a flash, his body twisted at an incredible angle, narrowly evading Huang Mao's knife.
Without missing a beat, he reflexively smacked Huang Mao's back with a brick.
Huang Mao swung and missed. Before he could even register what happened, Jiang Hao struck him again with the brick. Huang Mao's balance was instantly gone.
"Bang!"
Huang Mao hit the ground hard and couldn't get back up.
The other two thugs, who had been grabbing Soong Wan, were shocked at the sight and yelled out to their fallen comrade.
"Brother Ma!"
But there was no reply from Huang Mao.
Jiang Hao, too, was taken aback and glanced down at his own body.
Seeing no response from Brother Ma, the thugs' faces hardened. They dropped Soong Wan and each pulled out a butterfly knife, charging towards Jiang Hao with fury.
Jiang Hao's nerves tensed, and his muscles coiled ready for action. He was already responding instinctively.
"Bang!"
"Ah!"
In the blink of an eye, two more figures crumpled to the ground.
"Ah! My stomach!"
"My head!"
Their pained cries filled the air.
Soong Wan, who had been standing to the side, was dumbfounded by the unfolding events.
She stared at Jiang Hao and the three thugs sprawled on the ground, her expression one of utter shock.
What just happened? How were these three ruffians taken down so easily?
If not for the blood she saw trickling from one thug's head, she might have thought it was all an act.
Her gaze fixed on the boy before her, radiating an aura of confidence, her eyes sparkled with intrigue.
Jiang Hao glanced at the brick in his hand and then at the three groaning thugs at his feet. Recalling his instinctive actions, a surge of elation washed over him.
"Is this what they call danger perception?"
Then he noticed Soong Wan, still staring at him.
It was only then that Jiang Hao really took in the face of the girl in the same school uniform as his.
Soong Wan possessed a head of stunning hair, long and delicate willow-shaped eyebrows, and big round eyes that were tinged with red and misted with moisture. Her nose was elegantly shaped, and her lips were a soft shade of pink.
Soong Wan was breathtakingly beautiful!
Yet, a single tear streak marred her otherwise luminous complexion, her pallor evoking an involuntary pang of sympathy and a desire to protect her.
Jiang Hao found himself momentarily transfixed, his pulse racing.
Embarrassed by Jiang Hao's intense gaze, Soong Wan shyly cast her eyes downward.
Snapping out of his reverie, Jiang Hao quickly averted his eyes and approached her.
"Are you alright?" they inquired in unison.
Surprised, they both looked up and exchanged a smile.
"I'm fine!" they chimed together.
Now, both were flushed with embarrassment.
It was then that Jiang Hao recalled the three thugs sprawled on the ground behind him and spoke up.
"How should we handle these three? Do we call the police?"
Upon hearing this, Soong Wan's brows knit together in concern. She glanced at the trio of hooligans, still groaning in pain.
"I'm not sure," she admitted, biting her lip in uncertainty.
Seeing her indecision, Jiang Hao offered confidently, "I'll take care of it."
With Soong Wan's curious eyes upon him, he picked up his brick once more and approached the three troublemakers.
