Zombie theory flourished after the middle of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. Most of the zombies were recorded in the Qing Dynasty. Yuan Mei's Zi Wordless and Ji Xiaofan's Micro-Grass Hall Notes were first introduced. These two books could be said to be the Zombie Encyclopedia. Zombies originated in Yuanling, Luxi, Chenxi, and Xupu counties in the west of Hunan
