C17 Three Moves
Han Dong rushed to the entrance of the camp immediately upon hearing the sirens.
When Han Dong saw a tall and sturdy man wearing strange clothes leading the incoming group, his pupils contracted slightly.
This person was the commander of the Sand Wolves — Yuan Liang!
"Yuan Liang, what are you doing here?"
Han Dong went straight to the point.
Yuan Liang — with a head of a wolf tattooed on his exposed arm — seemed to be a head taller than Han Dong.
"I'm here to retrieve my belongings. Han Dong, I believe that you know what I'm talking about."
Yuan Liang said lightly.
"Stop talking nonsense! How could we possibly have anything that belongs to you? Did you just come here to cause trouble?"
Han Dong squinted his eyes and shouted as he stared menacingly at Yuan Liang.
Since both Weiyang and the Sand Wolves were F-class gathering grounds that were located close to each other, they would often come into conflict when gathering resources from the surrounding areas.
As such, they harbored a great sense of hatred towards one another.
"Stop trying to act innocent! I know that brat standing behind you killed one of our Awakened Practitioners!"
Yuan Liang shouted.
Upon hearing his accusations, everyone from Weiyang gasped and turned their gazes towards the person standing behind Han Dong.
Who else could it be but Chu Lin?
"What? Lord Chu Lin killed an Awakened Practitioner from the Sand Wolves Camp?"
"Surely not... Killing a fellow Awakened Practitioner is a serious crime!"
"All the Awakened Practitioners amongst the Sand Wolves are experienced, so how could any of them be defeated by someone who had just awakened not long ago?"
Everyone in Weiyang began discussing with each other.
In this period, Awakened Practitioners are seen as valuable resources since it was not easy for one to awaken their genes.
According to the regulations set by Central Royal City, an Awakened Practitioner who is found guilty of this murderous act could only be judged by the higher-ups from Central Royal City.
Since F-class gathering points would usually only have a few Awakened Practitioners, they could not afford to lose even a single one of them as it would greatly reduce the overall strength of their respective camps.
This was another reason why the morale of the entire Weiyang camp had been so low after one of their Awakened Practitioners fell in battle.
Since Yuan Liang actually accused Chu Lin of killing one of their Awakened Practitioners, how could they not be shocked?
"Nonsense! Do you have any proof?"
Han Dong shouted coldly with an unyielding gaze.
He did not hesitate to protect Chu Lin.
"Han Dong, it's been too long since you fought against me. Have you already forgotten about my genes?"
Yuan Liang revealed a sinister smile.
At that moment, he indeed wore an expression of a vicious wolf.
"Ancestral gene of the Sand Wolves!"
Yuan Liang's gene stood tall as the symbol of their camp — the Sand Wolves.
Since a sand wolf possessed a keen sense of smell, it gave Yuan Liang the ability to sniff out the scent of the person responsible for killing Sha Lie and his group.
"Humph! You dare to accuse my men of such horrendous acts in my presence? Come and try!"
Han Dong stomped hard on the ground, leaving behind a deep footprint.
At the same time, a layer of dark green scales surrounded Han Dong's arm like some sort of armor.
Ancestral gene, Giant Tusked Alligator!
"If I remember correctly, Yuan Liang should be an Awakened Practitioner with five completed gene chains. He's even stronger than our commander!"
Someone from the crowd said in a low voice.
Hearing that, Chu Lin took a step forward and appeared in front of Han Dong.
"Chu Lin?"
Han Dong was slightly shocked.
"Yuan Liang, one should take responsibility for their own actions. Since Sha Lie had intentions to murder my entire group, I took the initiative to kill him first. So, what are you going to do about it?"
Chu Lin — emitting a domineering aura — exclaimed with a loud and clear voice.
"Their Awakened Practitioner was really killed by Lord Chu Lin!"
"Why did Lord Chu Lin admit it?! He should have just remained silent and acted innocent since they had no proof against him!"
"Isn't his confession tantamount to admitting his guilt? Lord Chu Lin must have been confused!"
Seeing how Chu Lin confessed himself, the expressions of the people in Weiyang changed drastically.
On the other hand, Ning Feng looked at Chu Lin with a wicked expression — ecstatic to witness him voluntarily walking into a trap.
To actually kill an Awakened Practitioner... he's dead for sure!
"Lord Yuan Liang, we are completely unaware of that fact. It was all done by Chu Lin himself."
Ning Feng stood up and sneered.
"A debt has its owner. If you want to avenge your men, then just look for Chu Lin. This business of yours has nothing to do with us!"
Han Dong turned around and stared at Ning Feng, his eyes flaming with rage.
"No matter what, you are the one who killed the Awakened Practitioner of our camp. Now, I will give you two choices."
A bloodthirsty look flashed across Yuan Liang's eyes.
"First, cripple your own genes, kneel on the ground, and beg for mercy."
"Second, take on three of my moves, and that'll be the end of it."
Hearing his two conditions, the people of Weiyang wore ugly expressions.
While Yuan Liang may have given Chu Lin two choices, in reality, he only wanted to kill him!
"Chu Lin, stay behind me. With me here, no one will dare to touch you!"
Han Dong snorted angrily.
"Commander, this is a serious crime committed by Chu Lin himself. Even if you manage to fend off Yuan Liang this time, will you be able to do the same to the soldiers sent from Central Royal City next time?"
Ning Feng said coldly.
"Could the commander be willing to drag the entire Weiyang Camp into the water just for the sake of Chu Lin alone?"
Though Ning Feng's words were harsh, he nevertheless spoke the truth.
Han Dong's gaze flickered, but he could not say anything in response.
"In that case, I'll choose the second option."
Chu Lin walked in front of Yuan Liang and said lightly.
"Lord Chu Lin, don't choose any of his options. You won't be able to hold on!"
"Yuan Liang is a powerhouse with five awakened gene chains!"
"You'll surely die after taking three of his moves!"
The soldiers from Weiyang tried their best to stop Chu Lin.
At this moment, a person wearing a set of armor stepped forward and stood beside Chu Lin.
"I'm willing to take the first blow for Chu Lin!"
Yu Zhen gritted his teeth and said.
"Uncle Yu, you can't."
Chu Lin — shocked by his action — quickly said in response.
Before he even finished his sentence, a large fist formed from sand pierced through Yu Zhen's armor and sent him flying.
"A good-for-nothing trash who relies on his turtle shell is not worthy to negotiate with me."
Yuan Liang snorted.
Chu Lin's expression sunk.
"Yuan Liang, don't go overboard!"
Han Dong shouted.
"Yuan Liang, I, Chu Lin, swear that I will one day take your life!"
Chu Lin roared. His gaze was now fixed on Yuan Liang's eyes as he emanated a wave of killing intent from his body.
"Hahahaha, it's just a pity that you won't have that chance!"
Yuan Liang fumed in so much anger that he ended up laughing instead.
While his words were still echoing in the air, Yuan Liang had already flashed in front of Chu Lin.
So fast!
*Crash!*
Yuan Liang's attack landed on the pit of Chu Lin's stomach, which sent him flying away like a cannon ball being shot as he fell heavily onto the ground.
As the heavy impact spread through Chu Lin's entire body, he felt a sudden surge in his Qi as the smell of blood lingered around his wound.
"Hmm?"
Yuan Liang frowned slightly.
Since he used 40% of his strength in that punch, he thought that he could have killed Chu Lin with that one punch.
To his surpise, Chu Lin stood back up immediately. Other than his abnormal expression, he did not seem to suffer any injuries.
"Is that all you've got? Were you trying to tickle me?"
Chu Lin sneered.
"Lord Chu Lin actually withstood that hit?"
"Is that the best Yuan Liang could do? Lord Chu Lin isn't even injured!"
"Lord Chu Lin, you can do it!"
When the soldiers of Weiyang noticed Chu Lin standing back up — unscathed — they all began to cheer for Chu Lin.
