C3 Siyu Is Sick

Yun Chen gazed at the room now submerged in water and felt an overwhelming urge to cry, yet no tears would come. "Thank goodness I didn't use Fireball, or I'd be done for," he muttered to himself, patting his chest, still shaken by the thought.

Had he opted to unleash the Fireball, the entire house might have been reduced to ashes!

While Yun Chen was silently grateful for his restraint, his mother's bellowing voice pierced the air from outside the door, "You little rascal! What on earth are you doing in there? The water's flooding into the living room!"

"Oh no! How am I going to explain this?" The sound of his mother's fury made Yun Chen's head throb. What could he possibly say?

Then it hit him.

Amidst his panic, Yun Chen caught sight of the bathroom faucet and an idea swiftly took hold. He grabbed a hammer from his cabinet and, with resolve, marched toward the bathroom.

Standing before the faucet, he steeled himself and whispered, "Dear Faucet, I'm sorry, but to avoid my mom's wrath, you'll have to take the fall."

Without another moment's hesitation, he raised the hammer and brought it down hard on the faucet.

"Bang!"

The faucet bent out of shape, unleashing a torrent of water as if it cost nothing.

Relieved yet guilty, Yun Chen watched the water spew out. He took a deep breath and dashed out of the room, yelling, "Mom, disaster! The bathroom faucet just burst!"

"The faucet burst? Hurry, shut off the water valve! Why didn't you tell me sooner? Oh my, the whole house is getting soaked!" Jee Fanghe eyed Yun Chen with suspicion before urgently instructing him.

Without a second thought, Yun Chen quickly shut off the water valve and, with a hint of guilt, approached Jee Fanghe, confirming, "It's done."

"How did the bathroom faucet just break like that? Did you have something to do with it?" Jee Fanghe scrutinized Yun Chen, her suspicion evident.

Knowing her son all too well, Jee Fanghe could tell by the shiftiness in Yun Chen's eyes that he was definitely involved in the faucet's demise.

"I just touched it lightly, who knew it would break..." Yun Chen said, looking at his mother with a guilty expression as she eyed him suspiciously.

"Never mind, I'll get someone to fix it later," Jee Fanghe said, a departure from her usual inquisitiveness. She waved her hand dismissively, a hint of irritation in her voice.

"Really? I got off just like that?" Yun Chen was initially taken aback by his mother's response, then let out a huge sigh of relief, surprised at how easily he'd managed to avoid trouble.

"Dear water faucet, your service will not be forgotten," Yun Chen thought gratefully, remembering the faucet in the bathroom.

"By the way, son, I have some news for you," Jee Fanghe said, interrupting Yun Chen's moment of relief.

"What news?" Yun Chen asked, a look of concern crossing his face.

After a brief pause, Jee Fanghe replied, "The Shen family's daughter is ill. The hospital diagnosed her with leukemia."

"Boom!" The news hit Yun Chen like a thunderclap, leaving him dazed and disoriented.

"Siyu is sick? With leukemia? How can that be? She was fine just a few days ago... How could this happen?" Yun Chen asked, his eyes wide with disbelief.

"The Shen family's daughter collapsed at home today and was rushed to the hospital, where they discovered she has leukemia," Jee Fanghe explained, sighing as she saw the shock on Yun Chen's face.

"How is Siyu doing now?" Yun Chen asked after a moment, still reeling from the news.

"Siyu is currently in the city hospital, with your father and Mr. Shen by her side," Jee Fanghe informed him, noting the worry etched on her son's face.

"Dad's there too?" Yun Chen asked, puzzled.

"Yes, Mr. Shen has been raising Siyu on his own for years, and it hasn't been easy. Now that she's facing this difficulty, your father, as Mr. Shen's longtime friend, will certainly be there to support him," Jee Fanghe explained.

"I'm going to the hospital to see Siyu right now," Yun Chen said, unable to contain his concern any longer. He called out a quick goodbye and dashed towards the door.

"Hey! Son! At least have dinner before you go!" Jee Fanghe called out after him, as Yun Chen hurried out.

"Mom, go ahead and eat. I'll grab something to fill up on," Yun Chen said, but without pausing, he dashed off after a quick reply.

"Oh, this kid!" Jee Fanghe watched as Yun Chen vanished from sight and shook her head in resignation.

"Siyu has been close to our Chen since they were little. I've always hoped that when they grow up, they might join our families with the Shen family!"

"Let's hope for a miracle this time! The cost of treating leukemia isn't cheap, and the Shen family..."

With a heavy sigh, Jee Fanghe picked up the mop and began tackling the water stains on the floor.

...

Meanwhile, Yun Chen stepped out of the house and into a taxi. He gave the driver the hospital's address and they were on their way.

"How did Siyu end up with leukemia?" Yun Chen wondered, worry creasing his brow as he sat in the taxi.

Seventeen-year-old Shen Siyu had been by Yun Chen's side since childhood, truly his childhood sweetheart.

To Yun Chen, Shen Siyu was more than just vivacious and beautiful; he cared for her as if she were his own sister. Learning of her sudden leukemia diagnosis, his anxiety was palpable.

"And the cost of treating leukemia isn't small, but Mr. Shen..." His thoughts trailed off, his frown deepening.

Siyu had been motherless from a young age, raised by her father, Shen Yuanhong. Balancing care for his daughter with earning a living meant his savings were modest.

With Siyu's illness, the looming medical expenses were daunting, and Shen Yuanhong's limited savings meant her treatment was uncertain.

"I need to find a way to make money. I can't stand by and watch Siyu suffer because she can't afford her treatment," Yun Chen murmured to himself, determined.

"Thank goodness I have the system as a cheat code; otherwise, the consequences would be too dire to imagine!"

Yun Chen was truly grateful at that moment, thankful for the inexplicable acquisition of the system. With such a miraculous cheat at his disposal, he was convinced that anything was possible.

Though the system had tasked him with the daunting goal of earning a million within a month, his outlook shifted after taking the enigmatic Attribute Potion.

The potion not only unlocked his Primordial Attribute, endowing him with three distinct attributes, but it also ignited a surge of confidence in Yun Chen—a robust, unwavering confidence.

Before the system, Yun Chen was just an ordinary man with no special advantages. No matter how much he desired to make money, he was powerless to do so.

But now, the situation had changed dramatically. He had not only acquired the system but also gained incredible powers. If he set his heart on making money, it would undoubtedly be much easier than for the average person.

While Yun Chen was contemplating his financial strategies, he reached the city hospital.

Stepping out of the car, he made a beeline for the hospital. His phone was utterly useless after triggering the Super Red Packet System, refusing to power on.

Therefore, he had used a payphone beforehand to get in touch with his father, Yun Tianxiong, and learn which ward Shen Siyu was in. His haste was fueled by the gravity he detected in Yun Tianxiong's usually cheerful voice—a sure sign that Shen Siyu's condition was gravely serious.

With this in mind, Yun Chen's anxiety intensified, and his thoughts became razor-sharp. A gentle breeze began to coalesce around him.

He felt as light as if he were about to take flight, his body so weightless he might float up to the heavens at any moment.

"Is this the Wind Escaping Technique at work, thanks to the Wind Attribute?" Yun Chen realized in an instant. He had inadvertently activated the technique!

Amazed by the newfound lightness of his being, Yun Chen wasted no more time in thought and dashed straight for Shen Siyu's ward. His sudden burst of speed took him by surprise; the world around him seemed to slow down, and with the slightest effort, he found himself instantly three meters ahead, his speed astonishingly quick.

"Whoosh!"

In the blink of an eye, Yun Chen appeared at the hospital ward, foregoing the elevator and opting to take the stairs at a pace several times faster than the lift itself!

The passersby seemed oblivious to Yun Chen's presence, perceiving only a fleeting gust of wind that brushed past them.

At this incredible speed, it wasn't long before Yun Chen stood before Shen Siyu's ward, his face darkening to a shade of purple.

The conversation emanating from the ward had utterly fueled Yun Chen's rage!
