C3 Return to Level 1 Martial Artist!
Lin Yaoyang couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement at the thought of becoming a weapon forger with the help of this system. A fiery passion ignited within him. So what if I can't cultivate? With my weapon forging skills, Lin Faang, Elder Lin Zhao... you'll all be groveling at my feet!
Clutching his money bag, Lin Yaoyang was ready to head out when the voice in his head piped up once more. "You have remaining points. Would you like to use them to exchange for levels?" After speaking, the voice fell silent.
Stunned, Lin Yaoyang inquired inwardly, "Exchange for levels? Can it make me a First Grade martial artist?"
"Yes."
Hearing this, a look of sheer disbelief washed over Lin Yaoyang's face. What? I can actually continue my cultivation? Fantastic! I want to exchange for levels! he exclaimed internally.
"To ascend to a First Grade martial artist requires five points. You currently possess ten points. Do you wish to proceed with the exchange?"
"Yes!" Lin Yaoyang didn't hesitate, mentally affirming his choice. Suddenly, he felt a cool sensation coursing through his body as if something was moving within.
His eyes sparkled with recognition. This was Qi! The vital energy had returned to his body! Lin Yaoyang quickly assessed his physical state and discovered that some previously blocked meridians had been healed, with Qi now flowing through them.
Having once been a Second Grade martial master, Lin Yaoyang could immediately sense that the quantity of Qi was at the very threshold of what a First Grade martial artist could contain. His eyes shone with realization. If I use this system to reach level ten, all the meridians in my body could be fully restored.
As if responding to Lin Yaoyang's silent revelation, the system suddenly affirmed, "Yes!"
Lin Yaoyang's spirits soared. This system was incredibly powerful. When he had been incapacitated, the Lin Family had been in a state of panic, sparing no expense on rare and precious resources to aid him, yet they had failed to restore him.
Who would have imagined that Lin Yaoyang would see the light of day again? As he stepped out of the room, a figure materialized before him—a little girl, exquisitely delicate, with large, enchanting eyes.
As Lin Yaoyang emerged, Lin Jia darted over to him with urgency in her voice. "Big Brother Yaoyang, is it true what Lin Faang said? That you lost the family's treasured sword? You'd better run before Elder Lin finds out, or he'll never forgive you."
Lin Yaoyang paused, taken aback by the concern on the young girl's face. Lin Jia, the daughter of a prominent family member, had been close to him since his days as a prodigy. Even after his fall from grace, she remained steadfast, her friendship unwavering, which endeared her to him all the more.
Moreover, Lin Jia was a prodigy in her own right, a Level 9 Warrior at just 15. Her swift approach had been aided by her Qi, a speed that caught even me off guard.
Seeing her, Lin Yaoyang offered a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about me, I've got it under control," he said.
Lin Jia, skeptical, furrowed her brow. "Brother Yaoyang, there's no need to pretend you're okay."
But before she could finish, Lin Yaoyang lifted his hand, channeling the faint traces of his recently recovered Qi to levitate a small stone from the ground. Lin Jia gasped, her hand flying to her mouth in shock. "Brother Yaoyang! You're not—"
With a smile, Lin Yaoyang interrupted, "See? No need for concern. I'll handle everything." He gently patted Lin Jia's head and strode past her. Time was of the essence; he had only three days to produce a Spiritual Force Weapon, and failure was not an option—it would mean certain doom.
Lin Yaoyang made his way toward the Lin Family estate's exit when a snide voice cut through the air. "Well, well, if it isn't the great prodigy, Lin Yaoyang. I hear you've gone and lost our family's ancestral sword. Shouldn't you be hurrying off to face Elder Lin's wrath?"
Turning, Lin Yaoyang recognized the speaker as Lin Hu, the grandson of the Lin Family's eldest patriarch. Despite his lofty status, Lin Hu's talent for cultivation was mediocre at best.
At his age, he was merely a Third Grade warrior. Aware of his own limitations, Lin Hu had abandoned any aspirations of cultivation, content to coast through life on his family's coattails.
Since Lin Yaoyang's fall from grace, Lin Hu had taken up a new pastime: tormenting Lin Yaoyang. But today, Lin Yaoyang, who would typically ignore Lin Hu's taunts, felt emboldened. He scoffed, "And what concern is it of yours, Lin Hu?"
Caught off guard by Lin Yaoyang's retort, Lin Hu paused before bursting into a spiteful laugh. "You still think you're some kind of genius? You're nothing now, not even my equal. I'd love to see you justify your arrogance to my face."
With that, Lin Hu grabbed a wooden stick from the ground and, channeling his Third Grade warrior's Qi, charged at Lin Yaoyang.
Unruffled, Lin Yaoyang stood his ground. Once a formidable expert, he had been powerless to respond to Lin Hu without a trace of Qi in his body. But now, as a First Grade martial artist, he was confident. With his wealth of experience, he could easily handle a weakling like Lin Hu.
With this in mind, Lin Yaoyang didn't bother to evade; he stepped forward to meet the attack head-on. Lin Hu, taken aback, couldn't fathom Lin Yaoyang's strategy. Nonetheless, he was no fool and didn't dare underestimate his opponent. In a flash, he concentrated all his Qi, determined to defeat Lin Yaoyang once and for all.
It's worth noting that Lin Hu is a Level 3 Warrior, and the power he can muster from the energy coursing through his body is certainly not something an average person like Lin Yaoyang could handle.
However, Lin Yaoyang is far from average these days! Channeling the energy within him to boost his own capabilities, he summoned a gust beneath his feet and effortlessly sidestepped Lin Hu's attack.
