C1 Yellow and Yellow Shocking Change(1)
On October 15, 2025, according to the Yanhuang Calendar, the Yanhuang Star, with its five millennia of human civilization, was rocked by a cataclysmic event!
Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis swept across the globe!
More than half of the planet's human inhabitants perished, with countless others suffering injuries. It was the most severe disaster since the age of dinosaur extinction.
Yet, this was no act of nature!
The catalyst for this dramatic upheaval on the Yanhuang Star originated from the skies above the southern polar ice sheet.
That day, a massive vortex, radiating blinding light, materialized above the polar ice cap. Accompanied by intense Space Fluctuations from its inception, it disrupted the planet's geological and ecological balance.
These fluctuations persisted for an entire day. By the time the luminous vortex ceased its turbulence and stabilized, Yanhuang Star was left scarred and unrecognizable.
The origins and purpose of this vortex remained a mystery.
Despite leveraging every piece of advanced technology available, the survivors were unable to unravel the phenomenon.
Only a handful speculated that it might be a Wormhole, as told in cosmic legends.
There it stood, an enduring and chilling enigma!
Three months on, as humanity was just beginning to regain its footing and restore normalcy, the mysterious vortex stirred once more.
A being, indistinguishable from a human, emerged from within. Astonishingly, they were identical to the indigenous people of Yanhuang Star.
Before the locals could even respond, a multitude followed suit, streaming out of the vortex in rapid succession.
In just three days, the number exceeded ten thousand!
Each was imbued with extraordinary strength and prowess; some possessed abilities to soar through the skies or move mountains and seas with ease—akin to the deities of ancient myths.
However, they were not the heralded saviors of Yanhuang Star's humanity. Instead, they came as conquerors and enslavers!
Over the next two years, the remaining humans of Yanhuang Star banded together in defiance, resorting to every conceivable extreme measure, yet the outcome remained unchanged.
Faced with overwhelming power, the majority capitulated, resigning themselves to servitude under these foreign invaders.
The history of humanity on Yanhuang Star took a dramatic turn!
On June 23, 2028, on the outskirts of a small city in the eastern continent and western plateau of Yanhuang Star, the ground was littered with human corpses and dismembered limbs. Two wild dogs were viciously tearing at a bloody thigh.
A short distance away, a green-scaled beast gnawed on a bloodied corpse. The gory sight was enough to make one's hair stand on end and send shivers down the spine.
However, this beast was not what it seemed. It was actually a young man who had undergone a mutation following the apocalypse. He wasn't truly feasting on human remains; it was all a ruse to mislead a group of pursuers hot on his trail.
His name was Luo Jiu, also known as Laojiu. To protect his parents, he had masqueraded as a wild beast and slaughtered all the henchmen who had cruelly coerced his parents. The gruesome scene he had staged was a calculated deception to shield his parents from further harm.
Yuh Hualong was thrilled. He was a high-ranking henchman for the outsiders and managed the Beast Arena in the city, which specialized in capturing formidable mutated beasts and humans for gladiatorial combat, all to entertain the outsiders.
Lately, his Beast Arena had failed to secure any impressive beasts, causing him considerable distress. He was well aware of the capabilities of his men who had gone to the eastern outskirts, particularly one named Wen San, who was far stronger than most.
The mutated Wen San possessed a strength of over 500 kilograms!
A beast that even he couldn't handle must be formidable indeed. Yuh Hualong's only hope was that Wen San could hold out long enough to prevent the creature from escaping.
Determined to capture this savage being, Yuh Hualong decided to lead a team personally to the eastern outskirts.
Upon nearing the site, the team was met with a horrific view of severed limbs and a blood-soaked earth.
"Arm yourselves! Surround the area and don't let that Fierce Creature get away!"
Yuh Hualong had been duped, failing to scrutinize the scene for authenticity. He ordered his men to encircle the area without a second thought for the fallen comrades.
As the encirclement tightened, the greenish-gray 'beast' sprang into action. Like a frightened rabbit, it bolted into the distance.
The creature was moving so swiftly that it left a trail of afterimages!
"Chase it down quickly. This Fierce Creature is likely a speedster!"
Yuh Hualong was astounded by the beast's velocity and became even more resolute in his decision to capture it. Without waiting for his men to catch up, he charged ahead, pursuing the creature at top speed. His own pace was astonishingly quick, matching Laojiu stride for stride.
Laojiu, now transformed, possessed not only incredible strength but also a speed that far surpassed any pre-apocalypse sprint champion. The fact that Yuh could keep pace with him was a testament to his formidable abilities.
"Damn! It looks like I have no choice but to head for Blood Lake!"
Laojiu decisively altered his escape route.
Blood Lake had been around for nearly a year, teeming with mutated beasts. Rumor had it that only the most powerful outsiders could venture there and return alive.
There were reports that Miss Soong Hsing, the supreme ruler of this small city, had once ventured to Blood Lake and returned wounded.
Subsequently, the area was deemed off-limits, with no one daring to venture there and risk their lives.
Over the last three months, Laojiu's strength had increased several-fold due to some extraordinary circumstances, giving him the confidence to risk a journey to Blood Lake. Despite the clear dangers, Laojiu was undeterred; his only concern was to shake off Yuh Hualong's pursuit.
"Move it, everyone! We have to intercept it before it reaches Blood Lake!"
Yuh Hualong was growing desperate. He wasn't afraid to face a fierce beast on his own, but the prospect of encountering a pack of them near Blood Lake was unnerving.
With the sound of pursuit in his ears, Laojiu pushed himself even harder. Tapping into all his strength, he sprinted forward desperately. The distance from the eastern outskirts of the small city to Blood Lake was roughly forty to fifty kilometers, a distance Laojiu could cover in less than half an hour at his current speed.
As he neared the destination, the roar of a ferocious beast echoed through the air, as if declaring its dominion: "Outsiders shall not invade!"
The creature before him resembled a massive black bear, towering over three meters tall. Its formidable frame was matched by sharp teeth dripping with foul-smelling saliva, and its front paws were like enormous bowls. An ordinary person struck by such a beast would likely be torn limb from limb.
Its claws glistened with an oily sheen, as lethal as curved machetes complete with serrated edges. This was no mere ornament; it was a deadly weapon.
Laojiu paused for only a second before charging at the Giant Bear. With its colossal size, the bear's agility and speed couldn't match his own, making it the perfect shield against the pursuers on his tail. Even if he couldn't hold off Yuh Hualong, blocking his henchmen was well within the realm of possibility.
With a thunderous roar, the Violent Bear confronted Laojiu's advance, rearing up on its hind legs in a display of defiance. This was its domain, and it welcomed no intruders.
Surprisingly, this bear's movements were not the awkward lumbering of its kind but rather possessed a disturbing agility. Laojiu made several quick adjustments to his approach, each time the bear countered promptly. Mutated beasts like this defied all conventional expectations.
With a surge of determination, Laojiu pressed on. Time was of the essence, as Yuh Hualong was closing in fast. Only by taking down this black bear could he hope to traverse its territory unscathed.
