As everyone stood around in a stunned silence, Lin Xi suddenly leaped into the air with incredible speed. Yun Yi didn't have time to react before Lin Xi's hand struck him across the face with a resounding slap.

Pow!

Yun Yi was sent flying through the air, but before he could touch the ground, Lin Xi was already there, delivering a swift elbow strike to his abdomen.

Yun Yi's eyes bulged as he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Yet, Lin Xi wasn't finished. As soon as Yun Yi hit the ground, she stomped on his chest with force.

The stone tiles beneath Yun Yi shattered instantly!

The crowd was left speechless, frozen in shock.

Nonchalantly, Lin Xi dusted off her hands and turned to walk away.

In that moment, Yun Yi, still clinging to life, slowly lifted his head and snarled, "You dare betray me, you bastard? I'll have your life! Don't you walk away..."

Without warning, Lin Xi spun around, her movements lightning-fast. In a blink, she was at Yun Yi's side, her foot crashing down on his throat.

Yun Yi's head was propelled away by the surge of Spiritual Force from Lin Xi's foot, blood spraying across the ground.

The audience gasped in horror.

Suddenly, dozens of formidable presences descended from the skies, and a group of individuals materialized before Lin Xi.

The sight of these newcomers caused the other students' faces to pale in fear.

At the forefront stood an elder in black, the Hall Master of the Law Enforcement Hall, Elder Soong, known as the living king of hell.

Elder Soong cast a glance at the body on the ground before fixing his gaze on Lin Xi. He demanded, "Who gave you the audacity to commit murder?"

Unfazed, Lin Xi wiped the blood from her mouth and replied, "I was acting in self-defense."

The crowd fell silent.

Elder Soong, eyes narrowed, questioned, "Self-defense?"

Lin Xi nodded firmly, "He struck me first. My internal organs were shattered. I was simply defending myself."

Elder Soong narrowed his eyes, "Still trying to justify yourself?"

Lin Xi remained composed as she responded, "I was merely defending myself!"

"Insolence!"

Elder Soong, seething with anger, swung a slap across Lin Xi's face.

Unexpectedly, Lin Xi was quicker. As Elder Soong raised his hand, she ducked and delivered a swift punch to his abdomen.

Elder Soong's face contorted in shock. In the split second of Lin Xi's counterattack, he realized he had underestimated her.

He hastily tried to pin down Lin Xi's left arm.

Bang!

To everyone's surprise, Elder Soong was sent rolling several meters to the left.

Just as Lin Xi prepared to follow up, a furious voice bellowed, "Stop!"

All eyes turned to see the grand hall doors burst open. Sima Shangqing strode out and was instantly at Lin Xi's side.

Seeing Sima Shangqing, the crowd's mood soured further.

Sima Shangqing was known as the 'female devil' at Celestial Azure Academy.

She glanced at the nearby corpse, then turned to Lin Xi, "Why did you suddenly kill someone?"

Elder Soong's anger was palpable as he pointed at Lin Xi and bellowed, "He has not only committed murder but also shown contempt for the Law Enforcement Hall, and even assaulted an elder. What do you propose we do with him?"

Sima Shangqing looked at Lin Xi and asked, "Were you acting in self-defense?"

Lin Xi nodded eagerly, "Absolutely. The other students present can vouch for me! Yun Yi was the one who struck first."

Sima Shangqing turned to a female student, "Is it true that Yun Yi attacked him first?"

The female student hesitated, then with a nod and a stutter, confirmed, "Yes, but it was..."

Sima Shangqing turned to Elder Soong. "Elder Soong, you've heard it yourself. Yun Yi struck my disciple first. My disciple was merely acting in self-defense!"

Elder Soong was not paying attention to Sima Shangqing's words, his gaze fixed on her as he said sternly, "You're trying to shield him!"

Sima Shangqing's brow furrowed. "Old man, I'm speaking reasonably, and yet you accuse me of covering for him! Have you lost your mind? It's clear that Yun Yi initiated the attack, and there are plenty of witnesses to prove it, yet you confront me with these accusations!"

Elder Soong's face turned livid. "Even if it was self-defense, it was excessive! By the law, once Yun Yi was no longer able to fight back, the attack should have ceased!"

At that moment, Lin Xi stepped forward. "He threatened my life, and in order to protect myself, I had no choice but to kill him. That's called acting in a state of emergency!"

A state of emergency?

Sima Shangqing paused, then looked at Lin Xi and asked, "Is that even in the Celestial Azure Law?"

Lin Xi replied quietly, "I've just added it!"

Sima Shangqing was visibly frustrated. How could that even be possible!

Lin Xi stood his ground fearlessly. "I was simply defending myself!"

Seeing Lin Xi's relentless argument, Elder Soong was seething with rage. "Bad boy, you think you can muddle through this? Do you realize where you are? This is the Celestial Azure Academy!"

Sima Shangqing quickly went to Lin Xi's side and said firmly, "You must not attack again."

Just then, an elder descended from the heavens.

Elder Soong was about to erupt in anger, but upon recognizing the newcomer, he immediately retracted his Spirit Might and greeted, "Vice Dean!"

The arrival was none other than Beize, the Vice Dean of the Celestial Azure Academy.

Sima Shangqing's expression turned grave at the sight of him.

The situation had spiraled out of control.

Lin Xi gestured invitingly and then walked to the side.

Curiosity piqued, Beize wondered what this young upstart was up to and decided to follow.

This left Sima Shangqing and Elder Soong somewhat perplexed, with no choice but to silently observe from a distance.

Once out of sight, Lin Xi discreetly passed a Storage Ring to Beize.

Beize paused, taken aback.
