With a thunderous howl, it collided with a beast resembling a wild boar, sending it flying. It then turned and charged at another nearby beast.

A Level 1 beast stood no chance against the cyan wolf, which knocked it aside effortlessly.

The cyan wolf then spun around, racing back towards the Cloud Rain Flower, intent on claiming its prize first.

But the other beasts wouldn't have it.

The prospect of such a prize drove the intelligence-deprived beasts into a frenzy.

Most of them launched an assault on the cyan wolf, determined to keep it away from the Cloud Rain Flower.

The cyan wolf, in turn, fought to prevent them from nearing the flower.

And so, the cyan wolf single-handedly held off eleven demonic beasts, ensuring none could get within half a step of the Cloud Rain Flower.

The air was filled with a cacophony of growls and wails.

Nearby ordinary beasts, previously eager to join the fray, were startled into retreat, all scattering to safety.

Lin Yuan remained suspended in midair, his gaze fixed intently on the scene unfolding below.

At that moment, the cyan wolf had already dispatched two demonic beasts with lethal bites, while the remaining nine continued their relentless assault. Though it had sustained a few minor wounds, the wolf seemed well on its way to vanquishing the first-level creatures in due time.

Suddenly, Lin Yuan's attention sharpened. From his aerial vantage point, he spotted an unexpected black shadow emerging within the murky waters of the stream below.

It was a black snake, roughly seven feet in length, and like the others, a first-level demonic beast. Yet, this snake had timed its attack with precision, slipping into the water unnoticed while the cyan wolf was preoccupied with its adversaries.

Had Lin Yuan not been aloft at that precise moment, the stealthy approach of the black snake would have gone undetected.

"You dare to snatch what I've already claimed?" Lin Yuan whispered under his breath, casting another glance at the cyan wolf. Without a moment's delay, he pivoted and swiftly descended the tree trunk.

As Lin Yuan reached a point about ten meters from the ground, he noticed the black snake closing in on the Cloud Rain Flower. In a bold move, he sprung from the tree, plummeting from the ten-meter height and soaring straight toward the location of the Cloud Rain Flower.

Unaware of the impending interruption, the black snake was silently rejoicing at the prospect of devouring the Cloud Rain Flower.

But in an instant, its world went dark as a massive form crashed onto it from above!

By the time it gathered its wits to retaliate, the intruder had already enveloped the Cloud Rain Flower, gulping it down before darting into the stream.

At the water's edge, the black snake was left in a state of shock.

How had its well-laid plan been thwarted so abruptly?

Staring at the stripped flower stalk, a cold realization washed over the black snake. Without a second thought, it plunged into the stream in pursuit.

But it was all in vain.

The commotion had caught the cyan wolf's attention. Upon seeing the missing Cloud Rain Flower and the black snake making its escape, the wolf erupted in rage. It whirled around and launched itself at the fleeing serpent.

In the nick of time, just as the black snake was about to disappear into the water, the cyan wolf clamped its jaws around the intruder, yanking it back to shore.

The cyan wolf made its kill in an instant.

Far off, near a stream's edge, Lin Yuan's serpentine head emerged.

Once he was sure it was safe, he swiftly slithered out of the water and darted into a nearby forest.

The wolf's howls, strained and full of rage, reached his ears from time to time, giving Lin Yuan a sense of the cyan wolf's fury.

But that was none of his concern.

With glee, Lin Yuan coiled up in a large tree and eagerly scanned his system information.

The Cloud Rain Flower had been instantly digested by the Infinite Evolution System as soon as he swallowed it.
