Beasts of Summer were a type of barbaric creature with a triangular head, a front half like a cow, and a back half like a bear.

Every year in August was their mating period. During this period, they would often form groups and run on the plains. Wherever they went, huge rocks would be crushed and not a single blade of grass would grow
