C1 An Unexpected Delivery

It was raining heavily at nine o'clock in the evening.

In the city's Celestial Lion Convenience Store.

"Good evening, what can I do for you?" a young man picked up the phone.

"I need a box of Durex and two packs of tissues. Send these to Room 1302 of the Sheraton Hotel. Hurry up!"

"Yes, sir." Nassir shook his head in disappointment after hanging up the phone. Young people nowadays are so horny. Always forget to make full preparation before having sex.

Nassir got everything the customer asked in the store, put on a raincoat, and rode his motorcycle to the Sheraton Hotel.

The road was wet and slippery for the rain. Nassir slipped when passing a pond. He was a sorry sight, soaked to the skin. But the goods were not wet. He quickly got up from the ground and continued rushing towards the hotel.

Nassir found Room 1302 and knocked on the door.

The door opened and out came a woman.

Nassir froze when seeing her face.

The woman in front of him was his girlfriend, Leilani Moreno!

Dressed in a white robe, with her black and shoulder-length hair hung down on her shoulders, Leilani also seemed surprised.

"Leilani? What are you doing here?" asked Nassir in disbelief.

"Why are you here?" Leilani's heart skipped a beat. She subconsciously took a step back, trying to avoid Nassir‘s gaze.

"Baby, what's going on?" A young man walked over from the room. He was also wearing a robe and slippers. Nassir recognized him. Vincent Brown, the playboy from City N University.

Nassir wasn't a fool. Clearly, Leilani was cheating on him. Nassir growled and pounced on Vincent.

"Stop!" Leilani stood in front of Nassir. After a brief panic, Leilani soon calmed down. Since Nassir had already found out, there was no point in hiding from him anymore.

Leilani shouted at Nassir in a sharp voice, "Let's break up!"

"What?" Nassir's eyes widened as he looked at Leilani. "We've been together for more than a year. Now you want to break up with me for him?"

"Yes! I have no feelings for you anymore!

Are you very surprised? Look at yourself, Nassir. Always wearing these cheap clothes. How can you afford me the life I want? Do you know that the others are always secretly laughing at me for being with you? You have no money or power.

This is not the life I want. I am so beautiful and young. I deserve to be with someone better than you. You took advantage of my naiveness when I was just a freshman and that was why I would agree to be with you. You used me!"

Leilani's words were filled with resentment!

Leilani hugged Vincent's arm, "This is my boyfriend now! From now on, I have nothing to do with you."

"So, you are that loser ex-boyfriend of Leilani."

Vincent eyed Nassir with a provocative smile. He snapped the plastic bag from Nassir and shook the Durex in his hand.

"Thanks, dude, for dropping us this. Now, if you'll excuse us, we got things to do."

Nassir slowly turned around and left. He had enough of the humiliation.

"Don't you want the money?" Vincent called from behind. Nassir continued walking without looking back.

"Loser." Vincent sneered and closed the door.

When Nassir came out, the rain hadn't stopped. Nassir pulled off his raincoat, allowing the cold rain to drench his entire body.

Leilani despised him for being a poor person. He should not be sad for a woman who only loved money.

The phone in his pocket vibrated. He got a new text message: Dear Nassir, congratulations on passing the family test. The family decided to restore your status of the descendant of the Dawson family. From today onwards, you'll have the rights to inherit your property.

The bean-sized raindrops fell on the screen, blurring the message. Standing in the rain, Nassir knew it wasn't a dream.

Over the past seven years, Nassir suffered a lot for being a poor. If it wasn't for this message, Nassir almost forgot his true identity. He clenched his fist, full of fight.

Early the next morning, Nassir got up and went to the city's Kylinbank. Kylinbank was located at the central business district of City N, where the wealthiest companies in the city were gathered. The moment Nassir set foot in the district where Kylinbank was located, he could feel the scent of money filling the air.

Nassir strode to the bank's door and walked inside.

He bumped into a long-haired girl on his way in.

Nassir quickly apologized to the girl out of habit, "I'm sorry, I didn't see you coming."

"Are you blind?" The long-haired girl covered her forehead with her hand and looked at Nassir angrily.

The situation here caught the lobby manager, Naomi Patel's attention. "Everything all right, miss?" asked Naomi.

The long-haired girl put down her hand and looked at Nassir with dissatisfaction. When she saw the cheap clothes Nassir was wearing, she revealed a puzzled expression. Kylinbank only serves rich people. The man was clearly far from rich. What was this poor person doing here?

"Sir, may I ask what you are doing here?" Naomi Patel asked with a smile.

Judging from Nassir's appearance and age, he was obviously not a customer of Kylinbank.

Nassir said casually, "I'm here to withdraw money."

The girl said in surprise, "Stop lying. How can someone like you have any money in this bank?"

To withdraw money, he had to at least have a bank card. The girl sincerely doubted whether Nassir ever saw a bank card.

To own a Kylinbank card, one must deposit one million in advance in the bank.

The man didn't even look like he could take out one hundred.

"Sir, do you a card of Kylinbank?" Naomi asked politely.

She felt that Nassir had no experience and did not know of the rules of the Kylinbank. He might think other banks' cards could also be used in the Kylinbank.

"Nope." Nassir shook his head.

When the long-haired girl heard Nassir's honest answer, she could not help but laugh.

"Ruby, let's go."

At this time, a man in his forties approached the long-haired girl. Apparently, it was her father.

"Manager Patel," The long-haired girl waved at Naomi and then looked at Nassir, "allowing this kind of poor people to enter your bank is unfair to other clients, don't you agree? I hope this kind of situation will not happen again." After she finished speaking, she held her father's arm and left.

"Of course, Ms. Barnes. It won't happen anymore." Naomi walked them out.

When Naomi returned to the hall, she decided to chase Nassir out as soon as possible.

She looked around but didn't see Nassir. Where did he go? Could that man leave already?

Thinking of this, Naomi felt relieved. Just as she was about to go back to work, she caught a glimpse of someone.

It was Nassir Dawson! She didn't see him just now because he was heading towards the door of the VIP room.

The pillar in the hall blocked her line of sight.

The VIP room was prepared for customers with a higher status and deposits of at least 30 million! If people like Nassir entered the VIP room, Naomi would lose her job!

Naomi shouted in panic, "Stop there! You!"

The other clients all looked at her and were clearly dissatisfied with her shouting. Naomi could only smile and apologize, and at the same time, quickly walked towards Nassir.

Meanwhile, Nassir had already opened the door to the VIP room and entered.
