C3 Ridicule from His Girl Friend
"What the hell are you doing?" Zyon shouted at Naomi.
Before Nassir could say anything, Naomi waved the Supreme Card in her hand to Zyon.
"Manager, I caught him stealing this!"
Naomi still had a gloating smile on her face as she thought she would definitely be praised for saving the bank's reputation and loss. She might even have a chance to get promoted this time given Zyon's influence at the headquarters.
But the gloomy look of Zyon wasn't what Naomi expected. Before she could figure out why, she was scared by Zyon's angry roar.
"Let go of Mr. Dawson!" Zyon snatched the Supreme Card from Naomi.
Naomi let go of Nassir subconsciously in shock.
Zyon pushed Naomi aside and bent down with the Supreme Card in his hands, "Mr. Dawson, I'm very sorry. I fail to manage my subordinates well!"
The respectful manner of Zyon towards Nassir shocked not only Naomi but also the surrounding clients.
Who is this Mr. Dawson?
Is he like super rich?
That young man looked to be no more than 20 years old. He looked more like a college kid from the way he dressed.
"It's not your fault, Mr. Adkins," Nassir took the card and put it back into his pocket.
"Thank you, Mr. Dawson."
Zyon lowered his head even more. He stopped for two seconds before standing up and shouting at Naomi, "Apologize to Mr. Dawson now!"
Naomi came back to her senses and immediately bowed to Nassir. "Mr. Dawson, I'm very sorry for my rude behavior just now. I will reflect deeply on myself."
Nassir walked away and completely ignored her.
"Mr. Dawson, if you need anything in the future, feel free to call me." Zyon hurried to follow behind Nassir and gave him his business card.
"Okay, Mr. Adkins," Nassir replied with a faint smile. After all, Zyon helped him just now.
Seeing him not angry, Zyon was quite relived.
After saying goodbye to Zyon, Nassir hailed a taxi and went back to campus.
At City N University.
Nassir walked towards classroom while thinking about things and accidentally stepped on a puddle of water, splashing a lot of mud on his pants. The school bell rang before he could find time to clean it up. When Nassir entered the classroom, he was late unsurprisingly.
Nassir saw the disappointment in Ms. Bradely's eyes. Nassir lowered his head slightly, feeling bad in his heart.
Ms. Bradely was the only teacher who treated him the same way as she did with the other students. She was also very kind to him, which Nassir always felt grateful.
As usual, the mockeries started the moment Nassir appeared.
"So strange he never late before.
Did you see the dirty pants of his? Even the homeless is cleaner than him.
You know, I never see him change clothes. How poor is he?"
The contempt in his classmates' eyes still could hurt Nassir.
"Be quiet!" Ms. Bradely said loudly, "Let's continue with our class."
During the class, Nassir noticed Ms. Bradely looked at him a few times. Without even looking up, Nassir knew there would be disappointment in her eyes.
The class ended forty minutes later.
"Leilani!" A voice came from the back door.
Everyone in the class looked in the direction of the voice and saw that it was Vincent Brown. Vincent walked in through the back door and towards Leilani Moreno, who was sitting by the window.
Seeing her boyfriend, Leilani looked very happy. She rose from her seat and kissed Vincent.
The eyes shifted back and forth between Leilani, Vincent and Nassir. Everyone knew about Nassir's relationship with Leilani. But they didn't know that they had broken up.
Nassir felt disgusted at their behavior. From what he heard, Vincent had at least dated five girls. He found Leilani pathetic with a man like Vincent.
Vincent wrapped his arm around Leilani's waist and walked past Nassir.
"Honey, I have things to say to Nassir."
Nassir watched Leilani walking up to him.
"I believe it belongs to you." Leilani took out a phone to him. "Since we have broken up, I don't want to owe you anything."
Nassir looked at the phone which he bought for Leilani as a present and didn't move.
"Vincent got me a new phone which is much better than that old junk you gave me. See?" Leilani waved her brand-new phone in front of Nassir.
"What are you expecting from a poor person like him, baby?" Vincent raised his chin at Nassir.
"Didn't he have to save up for half a year just to buy this cheap phone for you? He is totally unworthy of you."
"I know, honey. That's why I dump him. Stop wasting time on him. Let's go to Delish Paradise to celebrate me finally getting rid of him."
"Let's go, baby. It definitely worth celebrating."
At this time, a petite girl suddenly stood up and looked at Leilani angrily. "Shame on you! Leilani! How can you treat Nassir like this?"
"Watch your mouth, Caroline!" The sudden accusation annoyed Leilani.
Leilani used to treat Caroline as her friend when she was still with Nassir. Caroline Hicks was very upright.
When Leilani had a fight with Nassir, she would go to Caroline for comfort.
"What? You feel guilty now? Have you forgotten all the things that Nassir did for you? When you were sick, he was the one who took care of you for a month. After you sprained your ankle on the mountain during your internship, he carried you on his back and walked ten kilometers up the mountain road. How can you ditch him for a despicable person like Vincent Brown?
It's true he doesn't have much money but he always gave you everything you wanted.
How can you repay him with betrayal and ridicule?"
Leilani sneered. "So what? I didn't force him to do anything. If he wants to blame somebody, he could only blame himself for being stupid!"
"Is money that important to you, Leilani?" said Caroline in a sad tone.
Leilani stared straight at Caroline, "I admit, I like money. Is there anything wrong with this?"
After saying that, Leilani hugged Vincent's arm. "Honey, take me out of here. They make me sick."
Leilani glared at Nassir and Caroline before leaving the classroom with pride.
