C24 Who Is the Big Fish?(part I)
"What the..."
"What in the world is happening?"
Choo Guang was utterly bewildered, a mix of shock and fury washing over him.
"Monkey!"
"Scorpion!"
Choo Guang's teeth were clenched in rage as he bellowed.
But it was too late for his henchmen; the Monkey of the Hidden Dragon Gang had already met a gruesome end, the air thick with the stench of blood, while his other minion, Scorpion, lay discarded in the wasteland by Qiao Gao.
It was clear that Choo Guang's two underlings were beyond saving.
Choo Guang was both shocked and enraged. He was taken aback by Qiao Gao's expert and merciless killing methods. The precision of his movements and the timing of his strikes were impeccable, belying his young age.
"This is no big fish; this is a crocodile!"
"His six meridians are open!"
Choo Guang's voice was a low rumble as a powerful surge of Origin Energy erupted, whipping up a fierce wind that sent sand and stones scattering.
Boom~~
In a rage, Choo Guang unleashed all his Origin Meridians. His eyes, filled with an endless thirst for vengeance, were like a venomous snake lurking in the shadows of the wasteland, fixated on Qiao Gao.
Yet, Qiao Gao was far from intimidated by the formidable Origin Energy. On the contrary, he was thrilled, his eyes gleaming with the anticipation of a hunter who had found the perfect prey.
The two previous goons, despite having unlocked four meridians, were sloppy with their Origin Energy and only moderately coordinated. To Qiao Gao, they were riddled with flaws, easily taken down.
As their gazes locked, a sudden jolt of apprehension struck Choo Guang, particularly under Qiao Gao's eager stare, which gave him the eerie sense of being hunted.
Anyone else would have scoffed at the notion. A martial artist with six meridians, afraid of a mere child?
Suddenly, Choo Guang sprang into action. His Origin Energy burst forth with overwhelming power. With a forceful stomp, he shot away like an arrow released from its bow, leaving only a blur in his wake.
Qiao Gao was taken aback. He had been eager to push his own limits, to face off against a seasoned warrior with six meridians, especially one from the ruthless Hidden Dragon Gang, to enhance his own battle prowess.
Despite his calculations, Choo Guang hadn't accounted for the whims of fate and abruptly fled without a word...
"Both monkeys and poison scorpions possess four meridians and their synergy is impeccable. Even if I intervened, it would be impossible to dispatch them in the blink of an eye!" Choo Guang thought to himself as he fled.
"There's an old saying: 'As long as the green mountains are there, one need not worry about firewood.' A gentleman can wait ten years to exact his revenge. I have a crucial mission, and I cannot afford to lose what's in the Storage Ring."
Choo Guang's longevity within the Hidden Dragon Gang was not only due to his mastery of six meridians but also his tendency to be overly cautious. At the slightest hint of trouble, he'd make a swift exit.
He could always gather more people and seek his revenge later.
With a sullen expression, Choo Guang sped away, covering several kilometers in just a few breaths. The complex terrain of the wasteland aided his escape.
"This time, I've really hit a snag."
"All because of Zhou Qing. Anyone who can afford the Azure Dragon Cultivation Room at a thousand yuan a day is no ordinary individual."
The loss of two subordinates, both versed in four meridians, weighed heavily on Choo Guang. He planned to return to the black market and settle the score with Zhou Qing.
"And that Qiao Gao kid, he'll regret crossing me!"
Murderous intent etched on his face, Choo Guang's eyes, sharp as daggers, flashed with malice. Glancing back and seeing no sign of pursuit, he sneered, "No one who offends the Hidden Dragon Gang gets away with it."
Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through Choo Guang's foot, and he stumbled to the ground with a cry of pain.
"My foot!"
Looking down, he saw blood spurting from his right foot, which had been impaled.
"What on earth bit me?" Choo Guang's face turned ashen with pain, his teeth clenched, sweat beading on his forehead.
A dark shadow flickered and vanished into the wilderness depths...
