C25 Heartless Cat Hunter(2)
The stick struck the adversary's chin with pinpoint accuracy, thwarting any thoughts of using a bite to immobilize Shen Xiang.
"Perfect, a testament to an afternoon's research with Ann," Shen Xiang's soul mused, spectating the fray. Devoid of physical control, the adrenaline surge still made his "blood surge" with excitement.
The big cat, perhaps due to its thick hide, seemed unfazed by the hit. Conversely, Shen Xiang's arm bore the brunt of the blow's recoil, sustaining considerable damage. Against such a behemoth, the system was pulling out all the stops.
Yet, the animal's instincts kicked in, and the big cat propped itself up on its hind legs, "standing" tall, while swiping at "Shen Xiang" with its other paw.
And it didn't stop there; the cat leaned forward, employing a "Mount Tai Crushing" move.
If it landed, Shen Xiang would be flattened!
"Watch out!" Rui's last hidden fish spines became projectiles aimed at the big cat, hoping to buy some time. Despite her pain, she dashed toward Shen Xiang, knowing that retreat was the top priority. But she couldn't abandon Shen Xiang; the big cat could easily shred him in moments... What?!
"Wuu ~ ~"
With a pitiful yowl, the big cat leapt away, abandoning its assault on Shen Xiang with an abrupt backward jump.
What just happened?!
Disbelief etched Rui's face.
Neither the possessed body nor Shen Xiang himself showed any sign of panic. Instead, a triumphant grin spread across his face.
After an afternoon of playful research with Ann, Shen Xiang had cataloged the attack patterns and vulnerabilities of feline creatures through the system. Now, he had become a merciless cat hunter. As the male cat rose, Shen Xiang seized the moment when the cat's focus was on the glowing baseball bat in his hand and delivered a ruthless kick to the cat's groin!
That was the cat's weak spot...
He had been waiting for this moment. The cat's vulnerable area might be well-hidden, but once it stood upright, it presented the perfect target!
As the "Ruthless Cat Hunter" launched his despicable and vile assault, the large cat, driven by instinct, leapt back in agony, attempting to inspect its injuries. However, the hunter, like a heartless thug, targeted the cat's unprotected pouch with his baseball bat.
Duang~
That was the sound of an egg cracking!
Every man knows that sensation; it's not merely pain—it's a mix of soreness, numbness, agony, and weakness. It's an overwhelming feeling that can leave you gasping for air, stuck in a daze, unable to recover without walking it off.
The Big Cat was now enduring a level of pain it had never encountered in its life.
Animals should have some dignity, after all. They fight honorably, face to face, trading slaps until one yields. Who else but humans would stoop to such low blows?
"It's working!"
Indeed, Ann had been brought to tears by his own inflatable hammer earlier that day, eventually lashing out with claws and teeth in retaliation. Now, armed with a solid baseball bat, Shen Xiang understood that the larger the target, the greater the pain. And this hit was truly...
Blissful agony.
Unlike humans trained to endure, cats instinctively jump back at the first hint of pain, which allowed Shen Xiang to chain his attacks.
The "Merciless Cat Hunter" was like a precision-engineered robot, brandishing his neon green baseball bat to capture the big cat's focus, nimbly avoiding its now sluggish swipes. He countered with a swing to the sac, then sidestepped the gaping maw to land another blow to the nose, followed by a kick to the groin.
These strikes were not lethal, but they inflicted the purest form of pain.
The automatic proxy system would adapt to the situation, selecting the most suitable attack method. Shen Xiang felt compelled to clarify his seemingly dishonorable tactics—not out of disgrace, but because the system deemed them the most effective.
"Woo~"
With each punishing hit, the big cat trembled, its previous wounds reopening and bleeding profusely. Its movements grew increasingly sluggish, forcing it to curl up on the ground, desperately guarding its vulnerable areas.
The Merciless Cathunter was a master of his craft, and it was unclear what fate had befallen the cat that served as his sparring partner. If you guarded your lower body, he'd strike your ear; if you raised your paw to protect your ear, he'd target your paw instead. Wherever you were vulnerable, he'd relentlessly focus his attacks. And if you thought about retaliating, forget it—the Cathunter always had the perfect escape route planned, nimbly sidestepping before landing another blow with his stick.
Unless you could overwhelm the Cathunter with sheer speed, he was unbeatable. As for strength? You'd have to actually land a hit on him first.
"Although I've inflicted some serious injuries, reducing both your strength and agility, can this really be happening?" Rui mused as she watched Shen Xiang pummel the large cat into pitiful cries for mercy. She couldn't stop thinking:
His strength and speed were still within human limits, but Shen Xiang's bravery and decision-making were unquestionably far above average!
Being a cat herself, Rui could appreciate certain nuances. Shen Xiang's strikes were too fierce, too precise, and his evasive maneuvers were incredibly adept. If she were in his place, she was confident her speed could overpower him, but unless she exceeded the threshold of his reaction time, he was nearly impossible to take down.
The scene unfolding before her was a spectacle of Shen Xiang toying with the cat.
The big cat's condition was dire. The injuries it had sustained were not entirely feigned; although it had played dead, its vitality had been severely diminished by my assault, ebbing away with each passing moment.
Its reactions had noticeably slowed from the outset. Confronted with Shen Xiang's insidious hit-and-run tactics, the big cat was left with no option but to endure the onslaught. It could attempt to strike, but every time it extended its claws, Shen Xiang would effortlessly dodge and exploit a vulnerability.
He even resorted to trickery, exploiting the feline's curiosity by tossing a luminescent green baseball bat to distract it before delivering a swift kick to its underbelly.
Yet, despite being a female herself, Rui couldn't suppress a twinge of compassion upon hearing the anguished screams that emanated from the depths of the big cat's soul.
This human was undeniably powerful, yet his tactics were shamelessly dishonorable.
