C5 Hester

Elmer wasn't the kind of person who would leave someone to die, but Rowan had pissed him off.

Elmer needed to teach him a lesson so he wouldn't do something like this again in the future.

Rowan was prepared to die, but after hearing Elmer's words, his spirit shook again. He hurriedly kowtowed to Elmer and said, "Thank you, Millacle Doctor!"

Elmer looked at Rowan indifferently. "I saved her. It was not for you, so you don't have to thank me. But if you want Polin truly out of danger, you have to find a capable doctor to treat her. I can only ensure that she doesn't die!"

"As long as she doesn't die, it's fine. Thank you, Millacle Doctor! I'll go and call our Director right now. I'll ask him to come here personally!" Saying this, Rowan ran out with an animated face, making a call.

Elmer did not hesitate at all anymore. He concentrated and stared at Polin's heart. He then pressed two fingers on the same spot. Something strange glowed in his eyes.

As expected, as Elmer pressed his fingers on the spot, the venom in Polin's body stopped spreading. Polin's breathing and heart rate slowly recovered and returned to normal.

"It's magical. He only has to press the spot and she came back to life. You are amazing!" the old lady praised, appreciating the scene.

Elmer just smiled and didn't say another word.

After about ten minutes, two people rushed to the operating theater.

One of them was Rowan. The other was a lovely young girl. It stunned Elmer. The director of Central Hospital was such a young girl?

The girl looked like she was in her early twenties. She was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and had a sweet appearance. Light blue jeans were tightly wrapped around her slender and attractive legs.

The corner of her mouth was slightly raised. Elmer's eyes caught the sight. She had an air of contempt about her and it made Elmer a little uncomfortable.

As if he had seen through Elmer's doubts, Rowan explained to him in a low voice, "Doctor Russell, this is the granddaughter of our Central Hospital's Director, Kaleb. Her name is Hester. He was busy, so he asked her to come. Hester is a true disciple of the director. She can be called an expert in her own right."

Rowan introduced Elmer to Hester. "Hester, this is Elmer, the young man I told you about—Doctor Russell. He only had to press a spot on Polin's chest to stop her convulsions. She would have been in real danger otherwise."

Seeing that Polin's indicators on the ECG monitor had returned to normal, Rowan heaved a long sigh of relief in his heart. He cast a grateful look at Elmer. If it wasn't for Elmer, he would have been in all kinds of trouble.

Elmer did not save him, but at least he saved Polin's life, which was equivalent to saving his life. Rowan felt both respect and gratitude toward Elmer.

He looked at Elmer who was wearing a worn-out singlet, which was wet. He looked like a beggar, but who would have thought that such an abject person would have such a great ability?

In the future, he must be more cautious, otherwise he would offend someone important. Rowan was secretly eager to build a good relationship with Doctor Russell and keep him in his highest regards.

Hester looked at Elmer with interest. Her red lips parted and she said arrogantly, "I heard that you can control Polin's illness with just a finger. Are you just making fun of us? And the spot where you've placed your finger... are you taking advantage of her?"

Elmer looked at Hester with a strange expression on his face and said, "Do you want me to demonstrate what would happen if I were to I take this finger off?"

She was being so haughty. This girl had come here with preconceived notions about him.

Rowan realized that the situation was not headed in the right direction and hurriedly said, "Hester, Doctor Russell cannot removed his hand, otherwise Polin will die immediately!"

He had witnessed it with his own eyes and suffered too. Seeing that Hester did not believe Elmer, he needed to advise her.

"All right, I understand that your explanation would be long-winded. Get all these people out of here. I am going to treat Polin," Hester said to Rowan with dissatisfaction, puckering her lips.

When she took Polin's pulse, she realized the situation with her body. The way Elmer's finger was pressing on her looked very strange. Hester did not understand the kind of technique this was, but she knew that it was important to do so, otherwise Polin's condition would not be stable.

She had hung out with Polin ever since she was young. They had known each other for many years, so she was well aware of Polin's problems.

However, she did not believe that the man before her had any medical abilities. Her intuition told her that the result of his actions was only a coincidence. This was not treatment... he was clearly taking advantage of Polin!

Seeing that everyone had left, Hester closed the door and looked down at Elmer with her hands on her waist. "Be honest. What is up with you? How can you stabilize Polin's condition just by pressing on her chest?"

"You are a doctor, not a police officer. You have little time, hurry up and save her. Why are you stalling with these questions?" Hearing her, Elmer gave Hester an uncomfortable look.

"You...!"

Hester was furious when she saw Elmer's disdainful look and his disregard for her.

She was the granddaughter of the famous Millacle Doctor, Kaleb. No matter where she went, others revered her. But this guy didn't even take her seriously, and now he was throwing her a disapproving look! Was she so unattractive?

But when Hester thought of Polin, who was on the bed, she snorted and began to check on her friend immediately. Indeed, saving people was most important to her. When Polin was saved, she would teach this guy a good lesson! He made her angry for no reason!

Watching the girl finally begin to operate on Polin, Elmer heaved a sigh of relief. However, he still had some doubts in his heart. Could this girl really cure the patient? Looking at her in this furious state, he felt like she would kill the patient instead.

Disregarding his thoughts, Elmer did not say anything. He quietly watched her movements.

Hester took a deep breath and opened the cabinet beside the operating table. She took out a box of silver needles and began to disinfect them.

Watching this, Elmer was surprised. Weren't these the acupuncture materials of TM? TM was no longer popular. Why did they keep such silver needles in this hospital?

At the moment, Hester was completely focused on her task. With the silver needles in her hand, she worked on Polin's body.

Looking at Hester's actions, Elmer was very curious. Although he too had learned TM, he had not used any needles so far. All he learned was theoretical knowledge. Watching Hester's skills in acupuncture broadened his lesson. He learned from her movements. The girl may be a little arrogant, but he had to admit that her acupuncture skills were not bad.
