C10 Meeting His Exgirlfriend

The Amethyst Manor Villa District is the epitome of luxury in Blaland, boasting the most exclusive villas in the city. The district is home to 150 villas, categorized into three tiers based on their size and the surrounding landscape.

The top tier consists of ten villas, each featuring breathtaking sea views, private swimming pools, expansive gardens, and their own golf courses, with values exceeding 200 million. The second tier includes roughly thirty villas. While their facilities are slightly smaller than those of the first tier, they are still incredibly lavish, each valued at well over 100 million.

The remaining villas fall into the third tier, considered to be standard. These come with a private garage and gardens of around 100 square meters, with a value of about 30 million. Though they are the most modest within Amethyst Manor, they are undeniably high-end by national standards, as villas valued over 30 million are few and far between across the country.

The security guard at the entrance immediately recognized Su Yurou as she stepped out of her car, promptly greeting her from a distance.

"Miss Su, welcome back," the security guard greeted her with due respect.

Su Yurou acknowledged him with a nod.

"Ye Fan, I really can't thank you enough," Su Yurou said, expressing her gratitude to Ye Fan once more.

"No problem. If there's nothing else, I should head back," Ye Fan replied, preparing to take his leave, now that he knew Su Yurou was safe.

"Hold on, Ye Fan, can you drive?" Su Yurou inquired, just as Ye Fan was about to depart.

"Yes, I can. Why do you ask?" Ye Fan was puzzled, wondering if she was considering offering him a job as her driver. The thought pleased him.

"Well, it's quite a distance from here to your place, and my car is still in the garage. Why don't you take my car home today?" Su Yurou suggested. She had noticed that Ye Fan seemed to be financially stretched and taking a taxi from here would be costly, especially since he had just called for one.

Touched by her thoughtfulness, Ye Fan felt a warmth in his heart and asked, "But if I take your car, what will you do?"

"You don't need to worry about that. Come on, I'll get the key for you," Su Yurou reassured him.

Ye Fan still felt somewhat guilty, "How about I come over to pick you up tomorrow morning?"

"There's no need, really, it's okay."

Seeing how firm Su Yurou was, Ye Fan didn't press the issue.

They were escorted by the security guard toward Su Yurou's villa at Amethyst Manor.

Along the way, the guard sneakily glanced at Ye Fan several times, trying to figure out the nature of his relationship with Su Yurou. He was surprised that she would let a man drive her car, especially since he had never seen her bring a man home before.

Could he be her boyfriend? But judging by Ye Fan's attire, he didn't look like someone of significant status. And there had never been any gossip about Su Yurou's love life. The guard grew even more curious.

But he wouldn't dare ask such a question outright. He was well aware of the vast social gap between himself and Su Yurou. Offending her could mean more than just losing his job; he might not be able to make a living in Blaland at all.

Soon, they arrived at Su Yurou's villa.

The villa Su Yurou resided in was considered third-tier.

Once the security guard had departed, Su Yurou told Ye Fan, "Wait here for a moment, I'll go inside and grab the keys for you."

Maybe because it was late, Su Yurou didn't invite Ye Fan in, which left him feeling slightly let down.

After Su Yurou entered, Ye Fan stood at the door of the villa, taking in his surroundings.

Even though it was a third-tier villa, it was still impressively luxurious.

The villa alone spanned over three hundred square meters, which was incredibly spacious.

Each villa was separated by at least fifty meters, ensuring ample privacy and space for the residents.

While Ye Fan was admiring the villa, a young couple strolled by, hand in hand, clearly in love.

The man, in his twenties, was smartly dressed and had a good stature and looks.

The woman was also quite young, dressed in a pale blue dress with her long hair flowing down her back, a vision of pure and sweet beauty.

Upon seeing Ye Fan, the man's brow furrowed slightly.

Residents of Amethyst Manor were no ordinary people; they were worth at least hundreds of millions.

It wasn't as simple as purchasing a third-tier villa with thirty million. Amethyst Manor scrutinized every prospective resident's background to ensure a high standard of living and a harmonious community atmosphere.

To buy a third-tier villa, one needed assets of at least five hundred million.

A second-tier villa required a minimum of two billion in assets.

And for a first-tier villa, assets had to exceed five billion.

In essence, to live here, your net worth had to be many times greater than the value of the villa itself.

This criterion alone weeded out those trying to punch above their weight or who sought to invest in a villa merely to rub shoulders with the wealthy.

Ye Fan's attire certainly didn't suggest he was worth hundreds of millions.

As the saying goes, "You're known by the company you keep." People tend to associate with those similar to themselves.

He preferred being surrounded by peers, individuals who could match his stature, as it facilitated networking and mutual exchange.

Yet, Ye Fan appeared to be from the lower echelons, which displeased him, prompting a slight furrow of his brow.

How could someone like this enter such a prestigious villa district?

Who let him in?

Even if he could scrape together enough to afford a thirty-million villa, he had no desire to share his neighborhood with such a person.

The woman, on the other hand, seemed taken aback, her expression somewhat unnatural.

The man reached for his phone, intending to lodge a complaint with property management, but the woman beside him gently tugged at his arm and whispered, "Wait a minute, I know him."

"Oh? You know him?" the man asked, pausing to put his phone away.

"Yes, that's... he's my... ex-boyfriend, Ye Fan," the woman said hesitantly, her discomfort evident.

It turned out the woman was Dong Siwen, Ye Fan's former girlfriend. The man was her new boyfriend, Lin Yiming, the son of the chairman of the Lin Group, rumored to have a family fortune of three billion yuan. Dong Siwen had left Ye Fan for Lin Yiming, lured by the promise of wealth.

Hearing Dong Siwen speak, Lin Yiming's interest was piqued. He took her by the arm and they made their way over to Ye Fan. Lin Yiming mused to himself that this Ye Fan, whom she had praised, was nothing more than a loser.

"Hey, you're Ye Fan, right?" Lin Yiming called out before even reaching Ye Fan's side.

Ye Fan was taken aback to hear his name called out. Who here would know him?

As he turned around, he was momentarily frozen in place.

With just one look, he recognized Dong Siwen, the woman he had once deeply loved.

Dong Siwen, with an embarrassed look in her eyes, hesitated before finally saying, "Ye Fan, it's been a while."

Ye Fan silently regarded Dong Siwen. Beneath his calm exterior, his gaze involuntarily flickered.

Confronted with Dong Siwen again, his emotions were a tumultuous mix. After a brief pause, he simply nodded in acknowledgment before turning and walking away.

Dong Siwen watched Ye Fan's retreating figure, a hint of melancholy crossing her features.

Lin Yiming's expression darkened at her side. How dare this nobody ignore him?

His pride wounded, he felt insulted.

"Stop right there! Who said you could leave?" Lin Yiming called out sharply.

True to form, Ye Fan halted and turned around, facing Lin Yiming with a cool demeanor. "What's the matter? Do you need something? Or is this your house? Why should I listen to you?"

Both men were momentarily taken aback by the exchange.

Dong Siwen remembered Ye Fan as somewhat timid, the type who lacked the courage to face challenges and would typically avoid confrontation.

Yet today, his steady gaze and even tone seemed to belong to someone entirely different.

Lin Yiming was caught off guard. Hardly anyone dared to talk back to him like this. Who did this kid think he was? Just a nobody, and yet he had the audacity to speak to him with such insolence?

He scoffed, "Oh, got quite the temper, don't we?"

"I heard from Siwen that you make just about two thousand a month?"

"Do you feel like you've hit rock bottom? Is that why you're here, trying to steal?"

"You're worthless, just a piece of garbage. Who gave you the guts to speak to me that way?"

Lin Yiming unleashed a tirade of insults.

Seeing Lin Yiming's genuine anger, Dong Siwen quickly tugged at his arm and intervened, "Yiming, let it go. He's already down on his luck. We won't have anything to do with him in the future. Let's just leave."

Lin Yiming's mood eased slightly upon hearing her words. Observing Ye Fan's silence, he assumed Ye Fan was scared.

"I'll let it slide this time, for Xiao Wen's sake. Move aside, trash! Ever heard the saying, 'A good dog doesn't stand in the way'?"

"Smack!"

A sharp slap echoed.

No sooner had Lin Yiming finished his sentence than he was struck to the ground by Ye Fan's forceful slap.
