C4 Farming in the City Center
It's no surprise the driver was envious. Only the cream of the crop worked at the Guoxing Building, which meant Su Ming's perks must be top-notch.
He could bask in the comfort of an air-conditioned office—what a luxury.
Certainly a step up from driving a cab.
"No," Su Ming corrected, shaking his head. "I'm off to do some farming."
"What?" The driver chuckled in disbelief. "Come on, young man, you can't be serious. Farming there?"
The driver, still grinning, shook his head, convinced Su Ming was pulling his leg.
But upon their arrival, he was taken aback to discover an actual farm!
Spanning roughly two acres, it was a wild tangle of weeds.
The young man's claim was true!
The driver's memory clicked; there was indeed a neglected farm-like plot next to the Guoxing Building. He'd always wondered why it lay fallow, but after a decade, it had become part of the landscape he barely noticed.
Could this land really belong to the young man?
If so, that was incredibly impressive!
Selling this land could net a fortune that would last several lifetimes!
Yet, the driver harbored doubts. Surely the young man was jesting?
But Su Ming paid the fare and stepped out of the cab, striding into the farm.
The driver was dumbfounded.
It was all true!
Su Ming surveyed the surroundings. The place had a certain worn charm, with wild grass and dust blanketing the area.
Incredible! He had truly become an elite tycoon.
His parents had toiled in the countryside all their lives; it was time they moved to the city for some well-deserved comfort.
The Guoxing Building stood adjacent to the city center, flanked by a bustling two-way twelve-lane thoroughfare, with banks and corporate headquarters in its shadow.
This land was a goldmine.
Su Ming saw potential here.
He envisioned cultivating a garden, erecting a quaint house to call home.
In the future, he'd watch the daily rush of office workers from the leisure of his rocking chair, soaking up the sun.
What a dream come true!
Su Ming took in the expanse of the farm.
It sprawled over 1,300 square meters, a wild expanse long neglected. A solitary thatched hut stood nearby, furnished with nothing more than a bed and a table, yet it was spotless.
It appeared that the System had specifically set up this place for Su Ming to rest.
Outside the thatched hut, there was a water pipe. Su Ming turned on the tap, and water flowed out.
With both water and electricity available, it was incredibly convenient!
Having grown up in the countryside, Su Ming was no stranger to farm work.
For him, farming was a breeze!
Yet, despite his ability to weed by hand, it was an inefficient method, and he lacked seeds.
Without seeds, farming was out of the question.
He pulled out his phone and checked the map.
As he studied the map, Su Ming grew frustrated.
The location was prime, right in the city center.
But procuring farming tools and seeds would be a challenge.
It was unheard of to farm in the heart of the city.
He hailed a cab, and after a journey of nearly an hour and a half, he arrived at a store that sold farming supplies.
"What are you looking to buy, young man?"
The shop owner was soaking up the sun at the storefront, enjoying the slow season without many customers to attend to.
"I'm in need of some farming tools, seeds, and fertilizer."
"Absolutely!"
The shopkeeper got to his feet and welcomed Su Ming inside.
