With his name on the property deed, Ho Lee confidently signed and pressed his thumbprint onto the document. He flung the paper in Ai Xia's face, declaring, "Get lost. I don't want any more trouble from you."

Deng Zilan, fraught with worry, exclaimed, "Lee, you..."

But Ai Xia snatched up the document, venom in her voice, "I can't wait to see how you'll scrape together seven million yuan in two months. The house will end up mortgaged to me, and then, I won't even let you sleep on the streets. Let's go."

Seeing Ho Lee's ruthless approach, the onlookers didn't dare linger and quickly dispersed.

The next morning, Ho Lee hopped on his electric scooter and headed to the Fang family's skyscraper. Today marked the start of his new job as Faang Yi's personal bodyguard.

Ho Lee spent the whole day at the company, nearly dozing off in the hallway. As evening approached, Faang Yi emerged from her office, now dressed in a sleek black evening gown that exuded a graceful and noble aura in the glow of the setting sun.

"Let's hit the road!" Faang Yi said with a casual smile, tossing the car keys to Ho Lee. Side by side, they made their way out of the office.

Meanwhile, atop the rooftop across from the skyscraper, a tall man with a telescope called out, "They're coming out, they're on the move."

His slender companion quickly grabbed the telescope to take a look, his brow furrowing. "Is that Faang Yi? And who's that guy with her?"

"Never seen him before. He's not in our files. Maybe he's a bodyguard?"

As Ho Lee stepped out to open the door for Faang Yi, a familiar voice caught him off guard: "Sister Faang Yi, you made it too."

At that voice, Ho Lee stiffened. He should've known she'd be at an event like this.

Faang Yi emerged from the car with a smile. "Xue Jing, you've just arrived? Let's head in together."

"Sure, and this is..."

Ho Lee turned slowly to face the dazzling young woman before him. They had only recently parted ways, and yet here they were, unexpectedly face to face.

Xue Jing was just as taken aback to see Ho Lee. "You... What brings you here?"
