"Thank you for saving my life," the woman said, her face awash with gratitude, though her eyes still betrayed a lingering fear. It was an understandable reaction, considering her brush with death. Had Xiao Han not intervened, she might well have been dead.

"Your injuries seem severe. Where do you need to go? I can escort you," Xiao Han offered, pulling out some spare clothes from his pack. These were items he had prepared for emergencies, and now, seeing her clothes in tatters, they were necessary. He offered his own clothes to cover her.

The woman's face lit up with even deeper appreciation as she introduced herself. "My name is Jiang Zicheng. I'm here to enroll at the local school." Xiao Han listened intently to her story and realized she was headed to the very school he attended. "The school you're registering at is the one I currently attend," he said. "If you don't mind, I can take you there now."
